“Book a reservation at Sylva. I cannot recommend this place enough, it is a fantastic staff, amazing menu and beautiful place. Every dish was beautifully executed and delivered more than it promised. The palette on their chef and the flavors their menus bring cannot be missed. I will be back here every time I’m in Tahoe from now on. Trust the chefs at Sylva and the staff will take care of the rest. They do get crowded so please make that reservation ahead of time. My favorite place in Tahoe City, hands down.“

Few people come to Tahoe for the food, but Sage Leaf made this meal feel like a destination in itself.

The burrata appetizer was beautifully composed. The citrusy yuzu jam, perfectly toasted bread, savory prosciutto, and creamy Di Stefano burrata all worked in harmony. Every component felt intentional and contributed to the dish without overwhelming the others.

We also loved the Niman Ranch pork chop. The citrus brine kept the meat remarkably tender while giving it a clean, bright flavor. Paired with creamy polenta and perfectly cooked mushrooms, it was both comforting and refined.

The house-made pasta was another highlight. It appears to change with the seasons, and this version showcased a thoughtful selection of vegetables that truly felt like “eating the season.” The combination of balsamic and pesto was unexpectedly delicious—the acidity of the balsamic brought out the richness of the Parmesan beautifully.

What stood out most was the care behind the food. This is clearly a kitchen that cooks with intention and respect for ingredients. Our server, Brandon, was excellent and made us feel that same level of thoughtfulness throughout the meal.

If I could offer one small piece of feedback, it would be that a few dishes seemed to have many ideas competing for attention. A bit more restraint and a clearer focal point might make them even more memorable.

“Tucked away in an Incline strip mall this is a hidden gem. The ambiance is very French mixed with north Tahoe vibes. All the staff were super friendly and just enhanced the experience. The lobster bisque was amazing and comes with a fluffy pastry baked on top which is a meal in itself. The bone in veal chop was delicious, tender, flavorful and sat in a sauce that complimented the veal perfectly. We also had the sea bass which was flaky, moist and flavorful with hints of coconut. “let me tell you something. I grew up in Sun Valley. Tahoe is part of me. My sister called the night before. They didnt take reservations. But, we told them what was up. my sisters n I planned a weeks trip for my mother's 78th birthday. We hadn't all been all together since my littlest sister was 4... 36 yrs later we are all in one place. Our mother wanted to see her friends. Basically our second set of parents growing up. We pretty much pretended we were nonchalant about it. Their daughter n us put a scheme together to surprise them all. Weeks of planning. The night staff left a note for the morning staff. They open at noon. The party of three showed up at noon... us, the party of six showed up 10 minutes fashionably late. So we could surprise n give our elderly parents arrhythmia.The staff was awesome! Table ready, James our waiter was spectacular...the food.... awesome. Not many restaurants would be asking as people came in... are you the party of 9? lol my sister from another set of parents...as her mom confused said " no we are a party of 3" and her daughter leaned back and whispered ..." yes we are the party of 9. but they don't know shhhh!" it was spectacular! Thank you to the staff... you all rock! I hope if we ever make it back and you're still are rocking the vibe we got today, we will be there. You all take care of your staff. Today this place made our moment so special. We cant say Thank you enough.“

“Great spot in Kings Beach/Tahoe Vista. Sit in the deck for lake views (from across the road) or the side deck to watch folks teeing off from 1st tee. Not your typical “19th hole” but it serves that purpose as well. Sit at the bar and get to know the bartenders - a great crew. Get the schnitzel on the menu or any of the mussel preparations.“

“Love this place, always a fun local spot for a casual brunch or dinner. Very diverse and reasonably priced menu with well executed dishes - I especially love their gyro sandwich. The back patio is a secret garden hidden gem in Incline.

We had our Friday drinks reception for our wedding at Crosby’s and Russ and the staff were so easygoing and helpful in setting up the event. They reserved their beautiful back patio area for us and we got multiple compliments from guests on the quality of food, ambiance, and friendly staff. Will definitely come back.“

“This is a good place to stop and have lunch during your Northstar ski experience. However, I can't give it five stars because the prices are at least double the normal cost. That applies to everything sold here. Options for vegan or vegetarian guests are very limited. All that aside, it's a nice ski lodge, and the food is fine if you like burgers, fries, pizza, chicken tenders, etc. Lines are usually short, and the staff is friendly and helpful. It is clean and tidy.“

“We ordered two cauliflower crust pizzas and a salad for pick up. The cauliflower crust was not an option on the online menu so submitted the order verbally via phone. I figured the cauliflower crust would cost more but I almost fell over when picked up the pizza and told it was $71! Really not sure why I didn't just walk out and tell them to stick the pizza. At this crazy price, I expected an exceptional pizza however, it was anything but. First of all, it was NOT cauliflower pizza crust! Second, it was cold and the crust was hard, with very little sauce. Extremely disappointing.... pass on this overpriced garbage!“

“Stopped by Cutthroat's Saloon for an after dinner drink and some dessert to bring back to the room. This establishment is located within the Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe, so it makes for a very convenient spot to pick up food if you're staying at the hotel. The restaurant is due a refresh, but I will say that our carmel fudge sundae tonight was out of this world!“

Glad we'd called in to reserve tables — when we arrived, it was packed with lines out the door. Service was prompt, and the food was yum! Our group went with tom yum soup, tempura, rolls (veg and shrimp), satay (chicken), drunken noodles, red curry and fried rice — most of them hit the mark!
We even snagged extra fried rice with tofu, portions were just right, and prices were reasonable. I'd definitely go back, if I were in the area!“
