“Very friendly and attentive staff that go above and beyond. The food is very tasty. They have a wide variety of food, including a wide selection of fried food, all of which is all you can eat. They have smoothies and other menu items to purchase if you still have room in your stomach.“
“I can’t describe how amazing the food and staff were ! The person who I believe was the manager was very attentive and mad us laugh so much. The person who was cooking our meat tonight was also super friendly. I would definitely recommend this place to all of my friends. Thank you so much SSAM TONG !!!!“
“Gan Hoo BBQ offers a tantalizing taste of Korean BBQ delights. As soon as you enter, the savory aroma beckons you into a world of culinary bliss. The diverse selection of meats ensures there's something for everyone, and the interactive grilling experience adds a fun twist to the meal. With attentive service and flavorful side dishes, Gan Hoo BBQ is a must-visit destination for any BBQ enthusiast.“
“Located in Queens, K-pop music video and Korean television playing in the side, with a nice selection of beers ? Love their juicy chicken!!!Great depth of flavor in everything!!Please don’t forget try Korean Ramen and spicy rice cake!! You have to add cheese in the rice cake OMG!!- Special Combo with Spicy Rice Cake- Rice Cake Skewer- Corn & Cheese- Sausage Rice Cake- Korean Ramen“
“Food is good but they raised their prices and it's only worthwhile if you can get them to actually bring the dishes you order. Sometimes we have difficulty getting orders in even when they're not that busy. Still, very solid place.“
“Highly recommend this place. Good food and drink selection. Must try their pork belly and rose tteokboki. Also, they have a variety selection of Korean traditional, high quality, craft drinks. Cozy atmosphere allows you to have an intimate date night or great time for friends gathering. Definitely will come back here and the service was very excellent.“
“I'm no expert on Korean food but I do know delicious and this place definitely hit the mark. Upon walking into the place I knew it was going to be a good experience. The staff were super friendly and also helpful with food selection which I needed. The restaurant has a light and airy feel to it with a nice layout with an ability to accommodate smaller groups. The bar seating is a great choice if you're on your own or with a friend. The make all types of cocktails and have a nice selection of beers including some Korean options. The food menu offers some classic Korean dishes from what I learned. I went with the Spicy Squid Bibimbap for my main. Before that came out they brought me a free appetizer which hit the spot. I'm not certain what it all was but I didn't leave much behind. Apparently this is one of three locations. I really hope to be back again in the future. Enjoy!!“
“Absolutely!"Fantastic experience at Hongdae Korean! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was inviting and authentic. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed throughout our meal. The food was simply outstanding - each dish bursting with flavor and prepared with care.Overall, Highly recommend Hongdae Korean for anyone craving delicious Korean cuisine!"“
“It was my first time dining here with friends and the meal did not disappoint! The seafood pajeon was so crispy and the seafood/flour ratio was perfect. The braised spicy chicken was flavorful and filling. The service here was also friendly and attentive too! Our server checked on us frequently and the owner was sweet and generous, making sure we enjoyed our stay. I can’t wait to come back here!“
“my favorite place to eat. i eat here multiple times a week the food is so good. my gameplan is always start off with a fatty cut of meat like pork jowl or thin brisket and ask for lots of onion, liberally salt the meat and onion and let all the fat render and rub the onion and meat across the pan to get the flavor all over. all your meat afterwards will have an amazing flavor“
“Highly recommend the ribeye (steak and mashed potatoes) and chicken wings. With over 90 beers to choose from, it's impossible to go wrong with this place. We were taken care of by Rina, who is there Fri and Sat. Amazing and attentive waitress who knows her beers. Visit this place!“
“Food: 100/10 Service: 100/10 I tried here with my best friend the very first time. We got Hambuger Steak & the Rose Spicy Rice Cake. When I came here the second time I got the same thing as the first time I came (I came with my husband) and because WE were on a time frame to go home after dinner. We ended up getting the same thing. I just wanna give the server a very very loving review. Because the 2 times I've been here, the server welcomes and greets you with the friendliest smile and the warmest "hello". The food here is great. I really wanna be a regular customer to this restaurant. Not only the food and the service is great. The place feels like home. It's so cozy. Its not TOO dark OR too bright. And If I'm being honest I would recommend Bunsik Korean Street food OVER KIMGANAE.“
“dang!!!!! i’m not the one to crave a burger or even american food in general but nowon just hits different. kimchi lovers PULL UP!!not pictured, but i love the chop cheese tteokbokki. get that too.atmosphere is fun and hip. the bushwick location is much better for dinner with multiple people. the menu pricing is up there, so bring friends to share apps with & be prepared for a pricy burger. it’s worth it though“
“I was craving boneless chicken and came across Don Chicken. Don Chicken is a chain with multiple locations throughout NY and NJ. If you love eating boneless wings packed with a lot of sauce, this is the place to go. Service was OK and the restaurant was a little small. Definitely seems more like a place to pick up your food and go.“
“Amazing food, very homemade, and they import the good stuff from Korea! They were out of tteokboki because they hadn’t gotten their shipment from Korea yet. Planning to go back soon and show everyone what it’d be like to live in a Korean household.“
“i'm so sad to hear that this place is currently closed because they had such great food! they were located inside the new age market grocery store and had a cute little stand set up. the food just looked so good on their instagram page, and i remember how excited i was to visit flushing just to try them out! at the time you could've ordered for pickup on their website, but i ordered in person. i'm unsure if they accepted cash, since i paid with card. the only downside of this place is that i had to wait for a long 15-20 minutes for my food each time i came by. but it's okay; my orders were also long and i'm pretty sure they didn't have many staff working at the time anyway. in my opinion, most of the food was decently priced, especially since they tasted fresh. 9/13/20 -galbi ssambap: this is apparently their most popular ricebowl on their menu, and i could tell why. the grilled short rib was cooked just the right amount and had a great taste to it. the cucumber and corn went well with the bulgogi glaze. i think there was also mayo in the bowl, which made it really creamy once everything was mixed together. the sesame seeds on top also added a crunchy texture. their portion was also pretty decent for $12. i appreciated how they provided a side of seaweed, so you could eat it with the ssambap. this was definitely one of the best dishes i've ever had! (5/5) -gochujang tuna baproll: this one has a slightly spicy kick to it and i believe it is also their most popular baproll on the menu. out of all the 3 baprolls we bought, this one had the most flavor to it and tasted good with the rice inside. i liked the balance between the spiciness of the tuna, the pineapple, and wasabi that they added. the cashews added a slight crunch too. even though the baprolls are 3 for $12, they are pretty small and mostly filled with rice and veggies. i think they're worth a try, but i wouldn't buy them again. (4/5) -squid baproll: i didn't like this one that much since i'm not really a seafood fan. the squid didn't have much of a sweet chili flavor, and i mostly just got a chewy texture from it. it also has rice, grilled onion, and sesame leaf. apparently it also has peanut butter sauce, which i didn't really notice. (3/5) -brisket baproll: this one kind of had a similar taste to the galbi ssambap, but the bulgogi flavor was just mild. i didn't get much of a "smoked" flavor from the brisket. this one was also filled with rice, pickled daikon, buchu, and sesame. (4/5) -grilled banana leaf and black sesame soft serve swirl: i saw this on their instagram and had to try it out; the flavor of banana leaf intrigued me. they made it look super cute and photo-worthy by topping the ice cream with almonds and yuja injeolmi. for only $4, this was one of the cheapest and best soft serve purchases i've ever made. even though i couldn't really taste the banana leaf flavor, i loved how refreshing it was. the black sesame flavor wasn't that prominent, but it was slightly there. the toppings added an extra layer of texture which i also appreciated! definitely worth its price, especially since the portion was pretty generous. (4.5/5) -sesame sweet bun: this one was just like your standard red bean bun that you'd find in an asian bakery. i wish that they had more sesame cream and red bean filling, but i still enjoyed it! it was kind of dry otherwise, but tasted a lot better and softer once i microwaved it. for $5 i didn't think it was anything special, but the portion size was okay. (3.5/5) -soboro ube korean streusel bread: this one looked literally so good when i first saw its picture! it's filled with ube sweet potato and coconut. i didn't get much coconut flavor and the ube flavor was kind of subtle. i think the best part of this bapbun was the streusel topping, since it added a nice layer of crunchy texture. the bapbun also wasn't too sweet or dry. i didn't regret spending $5 on it, especially since it also tasted great once microwaved“
“Oh my goodness. What a wonderful experience with their friendly staffs and more importantly delicious foods. There are a few Korean bbq's in this area so the standards are pretty high in order to compete. Daori certainly meets these standards so i definitely recommend trying it out.“
“My partner and I came to mad for chicken after the movies after craving the soju lada which I have had before in the forest hills location and the flushing one. I ordered kimchi fries which were great and I would like to mention our waitress (she had the Medusa piercing) was very VERY sweet. My main problem was with the bar service. My soju lada barely tasted like what it was meant to be, a pina colada. It had mint and possibly just the lightest splash of their colada mix. When I brought this up the bartender came to our table and told us that the drink always included mint which was not true since I have been here before and have gotten the same drink with absolutely NO mint. Realistically what pina colada ever includes mint leaves, the menu itself didn’t mention mint at all in the cocktail which could be awful for someone with an allergy to find out. The bartender did politely ask if I wanted something else but since I already started the drink and I am a massive pushover I just finished it.Again overall the fries were great, waitress was very lovely it was just the bar service. Don’t add ingredients in food/drinks but not include it in the menu ??♀️“
“It tastes good, the quantity is large, the price is cheap, and all the other foods are delicious.I ordered pork cutlet from another place, but the quantity was too small and the taste was not good. So I ordered pork cutlet again from I am kimchi. ?“
“This review is for take out on a Thursday at 11:30am. There was parking in the front. No diners were in the restaurant but there seem to be a brisk business on takeout. We ordered the Jjambong which was spicy (like the Shin Ramen). It was a huge portion that fit in a large ramen bowl. It was filled with vegetables and noodles. We ordered the beef. The Stir Fried Udon was on the sweet side. It also had a lot of different vegetables. Many places just use onion and carrots. This place gave 6 different vegetables. We ordered this with chicken which is not on the menu but they accommodated us. It's an extra $5. Overall I would go back because they have a lot of traditional foods I want to try. They charge a surcharge for credit cardsParking: Metered Street Parking“
“Very good foodie experience with a fun fried twist.I ate the potato mozzarella cheddar which was so delicious that I forgot to take a picture of it and I also bought the hot Cheeto mozzarella which kids love, very filling I must say because I had no room for the second.Vegetarian options: Im glad there was options without meat it was delicious.“
“I went to the Sweet Sap today with my mom. We were having a lunch for her birthday. The restaurant’s beautiful, spacious, and clean. My mom drank a Sprite. She ate Chicken Katsu with Rice. Whereas I drank a lemonade and ate a Fried Shrimp Burger. Overall, I paid under $60 (including a $10 tip)!Definitely coming back one day.“
“The salads were crisp and refreshing complement. The soups, a comforting highlight, added warmth to the dining experience. A good spot to dine with friends on a casual night. Super friendly servers who were attentive but not overbearing ? The steamed egg was *chef's kisses*“
“Came here on a cold rainy Thursday for lunch. Looks like a mom and pop restaurant that seats a total of 13 comfortably. We ordered the Combo Ramen and the Yoodon Kimbap. The Combo Ramen (medium spicy) wasn’t that spicy, but good enough for me. It definitely hit the spot on this rainy day. The Yoodon Kimbap is a kimbap that is wrapped in a thin sliced pork cutlet topped with a sauce that they made. This combination worked really well and the soup that it came with paired perfectly with it. I hope to visit again and try their other dishes.“
“This is a great place to go out to eat with a group of friends. The portions are large and nicely priced. Drinks were plentiful and there was also a large array of beers and seltzers available for self service. Everything we ordered was tasty and fresh. Would come back again.“
“If you’re trying out a new Korean-Chinese restaurant then all that matters is the Jjajangmyun and jjambbong. Tried both and they were delicious! Classic taste and healthy serving. My only critique is the potatoes in the jjajang sauce. Not a big fan. Other than that looking forward to coming back.“
“The first time I went here, they had an all you can drink beer special for $15 and that was pretty amazing. They don't do that anymore.I went a second time to eat with my wife and it was really good. They had a birthday special so we went on her birthday. And we got like eight pieces of fried chicken for free. We also got some drinks and some fries. Everything was really good. We sat in the back and brought our baby. The people taking care of us were high-quality. We also got the mochi donuts. I have come back multiple times to pick up the mochi donuts since then. They are super greasy. They are crazy good. I'm looking forward to checking out some more things from this place in the future.“
“The owner and staff are all friendly and each dish is prepared with care, making it all delicious. The roast duck is even more delicious because it is fresh roasted duck, not frozen. The sundae is delicious and the ecological stew is also delicious. When you grill the meat, you grill it with ripe kimchi, which is awesome! Above all, it's clean. I've never seen an owner in Flushing who cares more about cleanliness than Pine House. The ice machine is also thoroughly disinfected, so you can eat with your child with peace of mind. ? Thank you always ?“
“A hidden gem for amazing Korean food! This restaurant is cozy and narrow with decently priced food. There isn't too much seating though - about five 4-seat tables and three 2-seaters. The chairs were kinda uncomfortable, and the cushion wouldn't really stay in place. There also wasn't much space at the smaller table for all the food and side dishes, so it was very cramped.Aside from the poor furniture choices, the food was well worth the discomfort. First, there's a simple QR code to scan for the menu. The menu is simple and each dish has a corresponding photo. The special combo was very worth it, as it came with two dishes.I got the 'Bulgogi or Spicy Pork + Tofu Stew' set. The tofu stew was incredible. The broth was so flavorful and addicting. Plus, it came with lots of ingredients - tofu, mushrooms, egg, and kelp (?). The bulgogi was also very flavorful and sweet. It came out on a sizzling plate so make sure you let it cool down a bit.And ofc, every Korean restaurant has unlimited banchan (side dishes). Normally I only like one or two at other restaurants but l liked every single side dish that I literally cleaned up the plate.“
“I recently went here after hearing from a friend about their food and how great it is. I have been to many of these cuisines but this one is probably one of the best ones yet. Their food is very traditional and some of these reviews are bad because they probably don’t know what traditional korean chinese food cuisine food is. I will be coming here a lot more often now.“
“Third time ordering from Dokebi Kitchen and each time has been excellent. Fried chicken is delicious and well priced. Only mistake we made was not ordering more! Ordered the bibimbap this evening as well and enjoyed. Vegetables were fresh and rice had nice texture. Staff is friendly and attentive and the online ordering system is a breeze. Go check it out!“
“From the service to the food and even the music playing, it was all top tier. Miss Lucy was so sweet and catered to my groups little needs. Even with the language barrier I still enjoyed what she had to offer. Visit Ju Bang Jang and do forget to tip!“
“Kalguksoo is good for sure, seafood oko pajun is great too. But pajun was about $30 and noodles were about well over $20 lol. Expect to spend about $50 per person. Although, one individual can't finish pajun.. $30 is wild lol food itself is great but if you're ok with paying that price, go for it.“
“First I worried because it looked not many people inside at 5:30. However each side dishes tasted great. Grilled mackerel tasted so good and fresh. Bossam, steamed pork was good. Ssambab was great with full dishes of fresh vegetables ( I didn’t expect that much because it was winter. All veggies are expensive)Potions enough. I was so satisfied. I will happily recommend this place to my friends. Owner lady looks pride if her food and not so fast but enough kind to refill side dishes. We cleaned all our orders.“
“I ordered cheonggukjang this morning, and after eating a bowl of cheonggukjang, which was better than the cheonggukjang I used to eat in Korea, I felt like I had a very happy start to the day.I think it would be a good idea for everyone to give it a try, so next time I think I should come with my wife~“
“One of the best Korean fried chicken places in the area. The price to portion is very good, and the flavors are amazing. My normal go-to is the soy garlic wings, but the curry flavor was very good as well. The spicy had a little too much spice for me, but I'm a baby when it comes to that sometime.Another thing I like about this place besides the food is the location. Easy to park and then go to the grocery store when you wait for your fresh food to be made.Parking: Nice lot right there.“
“Compared to actual Korean restaurants, it's similar or more delicious. The price is also cheaper compared to the large amount of food, and the restaurant's unique atmosphere is good. And more than anything, the staff is kindIt was good.I think I'll be a regular. ?Compared to actual Korean restaurants, it tastes similar or even better. The prices are cheap compared to the large amount of food, and I like the unique atmosphere of the store. And above all, the staff are friendly. It was good.I think I will become a regular. ?“
“We love coming this family style Korean place for dinner. Their food is so delicious and the lady there is very friendly. Tonight, we ordered a seafood pancake, a dumpling soup, an omelette rice, a Kimbap, it’s less than $50. I highly recommend this place. Too bad we forgot to take photos?Vegetarian options: They have vegetarian dishes.“
“Very cute vibes instead that I didn't expect looking in from the outside. Great for a group of friends for late night drinking and snacks! We got a couple of things to snack on to pair with our soju and beer and everything was very tasty.Would say something's are overpriced but that's expected when you go out for drinks.“
“My first experience with Yetnal Tongdak and the original fried whole chicken was very good. Crispy skin and moist meat. If they’re able to maintain this consistency, I’m sure they’ll stay in business for a long time. I added both mayo and sweet spicy sauce on the side. They were kind enough to send a small amount of sliced onion that normally goes with their mayo sauce chicken. Their pickled radish is just right for my taste. Not too sweet and not too bland. Can’t wait to try their jokbal next time.“
“Despite the store name, these donuts are a great reminder of the age old lesson - it's what's on the inside the counts. The red bean filled donuts are game changing. With the cinnamon sugar, it's nice and crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside, and most importantly, not too sweet. And there's no DAIRY. How is that even possible. Staff are super friendly. Everything is fresh and made to order, so I would suggest eating it as soon as possible. Also order online so it's ready when you get there.“
“Crispy Cloud opened at the beginning of November where TMB used to be. I had the beef bulgogi and spicy squid kim bob. I thought they were as good, if not a little better, than the same at Rolly Kimbap. Will have to try their customizable bibimbap-like rice bowl next time.Update - went back the next day and had a bulgogi rice bowl. It was great!“
“We booked the room in the back for a bday party. The room fits a party of 20 comfortably. Our server was friendly and worked diligently to meet our requests. We ordered quite a few things from the menu and they came out quickly. All the food was delicious and their portions were good. This was our second time coming here as a group and they did not disappoint me.“
““if i love you, what business is it of yours?”i do not particularly enjoy the vibe of the interior, and i had to wait longer than expected for a donut, but my feelings about either of these things immediately were forgotten after the first bite. the dulce de leche donut topped with cinnamon sugar transported me back to eating burger king french toast sticks in the car on 00’s road trips. there’s a certain crunch and a flavor i can’t describe which only has been captured for me by (now) those two items.“
“I went there with a friend for the first time last week. The staff and owner were all friendly and the food was delicious. The monkfish stew, ribs, and cold noodles were all delicious, so I have to go again and try other dishes. Highly recommended!“
“Came here with my family for the first time, and we were not disappointed. My family and I were very skeptical of this place because of the mixed reviews but this place is definitely worth a shot.Let me start off with the service. The service was probably one of the best service I’ve ever received dining in a restaurant. They’re quick to take your order, food comes out relatively fast, and they are very kind. Constantly asking if we need refills on the side dishes, sauces and beverages was a very good gesture. The meat was all very flavorful and tasty.I can see why some of the meat can come off as bland or “flavorless” but that’s why the sauces come into play.I’ve never tried anything like soy mayo in my life and that sauce was a really big boost in flavor. All the side dishes were also very flavorful as well and my whole family loved it.The atmosphere was also very welcoming with a diverse set of music playing in the background. Ranging from Korean pop all the way to American hip-hop.Definitely will come back and also is worth a try!“
“Beef soup is all they serve. Soup is flavorful and delish. Comes with side dishes spicy turnip, fried eggs, white rice, and a small package of seaweed. I always get takeout. The ladies up front have always been pleasant to deal with. Please note they get very busy and wait times can sometimes be long. I try to call my order in ahead of time before I pick up.“
“First off the food here is great. I've been here once before and had to bring the extended family to try and as remembered the food is excellent. It's a new spin on Korean food, you will find traditional also. There is just so much on the menus that I have not even come close to scratching the surface of it. Our server Jennifer is very attentive and offers opinions on what is popular since there is so much to digest. Must try and highly recommend it to anyone looking for good creative Korean food.“
“Inflation must have bypassed this restaurant. The price was a steal for sure, especially for pork belly. Meats were of high quality. I was surprised to come across pork rinds on the menu. My favorite was the pork jowl. Mmmmm delicious! No complaints on the service. It was pretty clean inside; no sticky tables, etc. You have to finish the meal with some fried rice! Watch how the server mixes on my video. For add-ons, they charge $1- $1.99 (eggs, spam, cheese and so forth). Will definitely be back when I’m around.“
“Came here for lunch after a day out with my mom and my kids. Decided to try this place after my mom said she heard good things about it. The service was okay, didn't like the waitress that was serving us but the other waiters were good. We ordered shrimp fried rice, fried dumplings, jam poong, and jap chae bap. I really liked the jam poong the soup was amazing and just right not too salty and not too spicy. So much seafood and veggies. I will definitely come back and try something else on the menu.“
