“I lived in KG for about a year, and this was a must anytime I passed by. It is in a convenient location near the Union Turnpike Subway Station. I moved out of NYC at the end of 2019, but I do find myself in the area from time to time. I always make a point to come visit this cart whenever possible, even if it involves a 40 minute ride on the Q10. Yes, it's that good. I like to get the platter combo with half chicken, half lamb, extra white sauce, light hot sauce. Pita on the side. I love this type of food, and have had it from many different spots all over the country, some mom n pop, some chains. This is BY FAR my faveourite one. I tell everyone about it, if you are anywhere near this cart you absolutely must go! What my stars mean: 5 is outstanding, a must-experience, someplace I would bring/recommend to a tourist 4 is great, someplace I would love to go back to again and again. Backup options to bring/recommend to a tourist 3 is good. Someplace I would return to if in the area. I probably wouldn't recommend to a tourist, but possibly to a local. 2 is ok but only because it is either cheap or convenient. 1 means I would not return“

“Oh my goodness, this might be one of my favorite restaurants in the world. To be honest I was never a fan of injera or Ethiopian food but this place has made it a top 3 cuisine for me. The food is truly exceptional. You will wonder how they made the humble chickpea so creamy and flavorful. Get the shiro, seitan tibs and kitfo. Man oh man.Our server was perfect. Just attentive enough, so kind and warm.The ambience!!! I absolutely love the aesthetic. Just makes you feel like you’re having a fun night. They do bring the vibes, as they say. “I've been going to HDL consistently for 2 years now and it's still one of my favorite hotpot places in nyc. In terms of cleanliness, service and food quality it is top notch. In terms of price it is on the pricier side ($50-$75pp). The servers are very attentive and offer to make you a soup and dipping sauce. I always leave feeling full and satisfied. The Chinese opera show, dancing noodle and birthday singing also make the dining experience more fun and memorable.Parking: Paid parking lot“

“I came on a Monday evening and I got a reservation the day before. There were plenty of reservations available. The servers were nice and came to refill our water often. The food was unique and I don't get a chance to eat elevated Mexican food that often. I ordered: * Swordfish Tacos - 9/10 - The charred flavor on the swordfish was really good, and the spicy sauces added heat and a slight tanginess. The taco didn't have many toppings but the simplicity of the dish is what made the individual flavors shine. * Lamb Barbacoa Tacos - 7.5/10 - These had good flavor, but I felt like they were missing something. The meat was a bit dry, and all the ingredients were soft. I think adding another texture would elevate it. * Soya Marinated Tuna Tostada - 8/10 - The chili oil paired nicely with the soy marinade on the tuna. I liked that they put fat slices of tuna. The tostada was perfectly crunchy. * Oxomoco Guacamole - 7.5/10 - The chips on the side are the same tostada that comes with the tuna. The guacamole itself is delicious but it's hard to justify almost $20 for guacamole, no matter how good it is. * Recuerdame - 8/10 - A fun drink to order with tacos. I liked the aesthetics and that it was a blended ice drink. The alcohol flavor wasn't too strong and it was sweet. Overall, all the food I had was really delicious and for a Michelin-starred restaurant the vibe was pretty casual and chill. However, it is quite pricey for the amount of food you get, so I would save it for a celebration or special occasion.“

“This is the best pizza I have ever had, nice crisp, light crust with just the right amount of toppings, no grease at all. I live in CT and thought no pizza was better than our New Haven ones, boy was I wrong!!! Looking forward to returning……soon!“

“This is such a gem! I have been craving pork belly for a while now so I went to ssam tong today and let me tell you this place is amazing! Ordered a pork belly, pork jowl and beef~ the meat was tender and delicious! The staff is the best~ they are cute and hilarious! Love it!! Rico and the owner helped us with the grilling! They are so sweet! The atmosphere is so friendly and comfortable that it made the whole dining experience beyond excellent! I will definitely come back whenever I crave Korean bbq around the Murray Hill area! :)“

We've been staying in the Franklin Guesthouse (hotel adjacent to Madre) for a couple of nights and decided to give Madre a shot - boy were we in for a treat! Firstly, shout out to Armando, who made us feel immediately welcomed with his warmth and energy! For food, we got the Frutti di Mare, Croquetas, Brussels Sprouts, Cornbread Madeleines (compliments from chef) and Chicken - massive MASSIVE props to Chef Bryan and his very talented team. To say that they cooked "well" would be the understatement of 2022. They absolutely blew our minds with top quality medley of ingredients, depth of flavor, and masterful execution in every way. Cocktails were fun and delectable, which added the perfect "pop" to the culinary rocket ship that Madre served up. Just when my wife and I were ready to call it a night, Chef Bryan and Armando were kind enough to bring out the Pot de Creme for us, which was the bow and ribbon on this very special dinner. My only regret of the night was not having enough stomachs to enjoy more of what Madre could serve up. We will definitely be back! Thank you, Madre!“

“We went for Thanksgiving, not expecting much. Understanding they would be busy at 7pm, we decided to take our chances and walk in. Super friendly service. We got a welcome eggnog, brilliantly cooked 3 course price fix menu, great service. There were some hiccups (soup came out crazy fast, while the drinks took the normal time. A little odd) loved that they had a kobe steak as arn option, very moist turkey too. Pumpkin creme bruleee was tasty-not too "pumpkiny". They even have us a free champagne with dessert. Really worth it“

Yemeni dishes are characterized by rich and unique flavors, which attracts many other nationalities to try them.
