“This spot is Legit, new owners are welcoming and friendly. Celebrated a Friend’s birthday and all the staff was very attentive. They even decorated the booth with a Happy birthday sign and some flowers. They have beer buckets, cocktails, and different selection of beer . We had Chicken mofongo as appetizers, just a quick bite . The nachos were complimentary for the tables/ booth. I really enjoyed the hooka “Love”, kitchen closes at 1am . Also, they have a Dj every night , will definitely come back !!“

“My cousin recommend the cevapi to me a while back. I would always get my cevapi in Astoria but decided to give Bosna Express a shot. I was a little nervous about trying after hearing about the change of chef. But I have to say it was really good. I definitely will be coming back. The owner was very sweet and attentive to how she could make my order. Also highly recommend the chicken over rice!“

“Here's the review Spencer wrote for you: My family and I just visited to celebrate my grandsons birthday- we like to get a bunch of plates and share family style and this menu was perfect for that. You have to get mezze and extra bread (must try the kubane). We also ended up getting three orders of the shishbarak for the six of us, it is way too good! I got the salmon for my entree which was cooked to perfection and beautifully seasoned. Spencer our server recommended the silan and the cheesecake for dessert so we shared those and boy were they something special- I can’t pick a favorite! He brought us a candle and we got some great pictures. I can’t recommend this restaurant enough.“

We had a small mix-up with our reservation, but the manager handled it graciously and quickly got everything sorted out, which made an already great experience even better.

Part of me wants to keep this gem a secret, but it’s too good not to share. Then again, I don’t think they’re hurting for customers—they were completely packed on a Monday evening, and after dining here, I can see exactly why.“

“We are used to eat Turkish food and I can say this place has very good chef. The waiters are very kind and knowledgeable, and the ambience is also elegant and classy. “We LOVE this place. My partner and I were visiting NYC for our Babymoon and had heard Florentin was delicious, but we were blown away. Not only was the food fantastic (we had steak frites), the service was impeccable. Sammy was an incredible host that made our night even more enjoyable!! He was welcoming, fun, and generous. As my partner and I were celebrating, he made us feel so special and taken care of by providing us with mint tea & tiramisu that was to DIE FOR. “I tried their salta, which is a sort of vegetable stew. It was excellent, served the right way in the traditional bowl with the right kind of bread. It isn't meant to be a fine dining experience, more like the ones you find all over Yemen. I'll go back and try some of their other yemeni dishes...and you should, too!“

The octopus from the appetizers was quite a good portion and was cooked perfectly.
The beet salad was a no for me. I felt like it was cut too small and a bit overdressed, so I couldn’t really taste it.

They also have a good wine selection, so I may come again for that octopus and another glass.“

They quickly welcomed us in with open arms and fresh hot coffee. It was one of the best brunches I've ever had, but what made it even more special was Joey the owner overheard our story, knowing we had a rough morning, and gifting us one of his comfort food cookbooks!
