“I was here for lunch midweek and it seems like the place is ran by whoever has a moment to step out of the kitchen. Didn’t mind as it adds to the atmosphere.
The food was amazing and I can’t wait to come back with friends to try more dishes. Very happy I stopped by.“

“The food was great and when they accidentally forgot one of our Shumai dumplings, they replaced it with 2, which I thought was really nice. The service is quick and efficient, and I appreciated them checking with us. They were nice about any questions we asked and the atmosphere was really nice and cozy. Definitely recommend.“

“It’s 10pm and the customer traffic is still at peak. During my meal they had to tell two sets of new customers that there are no more tables. My chicken thali is delicious. It comes with a variety of items and flavors. They kept checking if I actually need anything more and offered to add rice. Very caring and attentive. One customer there was chilling for a long time after done and they just let him relax in peace while the restaurant traffic is busy. Such patience and respect for customers. The Nepali hospitality really impressed me. Of course the food is amazing. Will come again to try other menu items.“

“Came here yesterday for a late lunch/early dinner. We ordered the Indonesian veggie samba, California sushi rolls and spicy tuna sushi rolls. The food was excellent. Service was good. Food was prepared quickly and tasted fresh and delicious. The atmosphere and the visual effects on the wall makes for a great ambience. Definitely coming back here in the future.“

“I’m so happy we have a halal pho spot in Astoria, and it’s GOOD, the pho is delicious, warm, and comforting, vibes are nice and they have a decent space to accommodate people. We got the lemongrass beef and short rib beef, both were really flavorful, portion size is very healthy, and pricing is very fair on the food. Star of the show was honestly the Vietnamese spring rolls, get those for sure if you stop by!“

“Quick, affordable and tasty dry hot pot. You walk in, grab a bowl and tongs, choose your ingredients and hand it over to the cashier to cook. Price is based on weight, but one bowl around 1.5 lb was enough for the two of us. We opted for the “tiny spicy” level and it was just the right out amount of kick — not too spicy but just enough to get you sniffling. The seasoning the chef put it was great too. Highly recommend“

“The location, atmosphere, and venue are all very pleasant. Just keep in mind that if you sit outside at night, the music can make it difficult for the servers to hear the call button when you need assistance. Because of that, I’d like to give a special mention to *Brian, who was the only server consistently attentive to my table while everyone else kept walking past me! *Carlos was also incredibly helpful and accommodating. And the Bulgogi nachos are a 10/10 🫨“

“It's pretty nice inside and I like the massive selection that you can choose from. Definitely cool for hanging with friends or a casual date because the vibe is pretty chill. I usually don't have to deal with a wait before being seated and the skewers are great for sharing because they're all bite sized.“

“First time at this great spot with non veggie and veggie options so would be perfect for large groups. We had the ginger citrus boneless rib rice on, which was amazing. Nice citrus flavor a little bit sweet and serve with steamed vegetables. The signature bun burger – the oasis Baja and the beat it up incredible. Everything very flavorful and fresh and speaking as a non-vegetarian I would come here anytime.“

“It’s a very Americanised Chinese restaurant (but that’s fine). It’s not as upscale as it looks in the pictures/they make it seem - it’s just a normal restaurant. They had a lot of takeaway orders though it seems.
I ordered the lobster shumai and it was definitely just prawn (shrimp) but they were actually genuinely very good so I won’t complain.
Lo mein was quite a large portion.
Service was very good! I liked my server a lot“

“Great Shish kebabs for insanely good prices. Most $2, some 2.50-$3.00
Cash only, no cards but she does take Zelle.
Sweet couple, extremely nice.
You're going to want to eat a minimum of 4, but if your hungry easy to eat 8 🤣
Its an outside food cart with limited street seating, but these guys were open at 10pm when it was 27° the other night and they still had a line of people. Absolutely worth every cent.
The lamb was odee slamming, the beef was great. They're all good really, but my fave was the fish balls with the spicy seasoning. Give it a try!“

“Asian food, Chinese old school food? Don’t treat yourself bad. Don’t eat the same old food that you eat every day. Try this clean vegan place and you will enjoy yourself as I will always enjoy myself wherever I go. Now they will fix you vegan food. They do not have any beef and pork, but you won’t even miss it. It’s a wonderful place. Thank you so much.“

“I realized I’ve never left a review despite ordering from here for YEARS. E-chiban has some of the best sushi in town for quality and price. It’s one of the few places I get delivery from and the quality and portion size is always great. Their prices have gone up, but I do feel with how much they give you it’s worth it (especially the salmon sashimi dinner)! Their delivery driver (Mok?) is always so kind, remembers my name and order, and is great at his job. It’s nice being a regular here. I’ve tried other places nearby and they don’t come close imo.“

“Party bbq is an Affordable staple in the neighborhood, hitting the best after long days. Nonetheless, be cautious during intemperate weather: the wait time is egregious on cold winter days and doesn’t seem to be a pressing issue now.
Since it is rather cheap, the quality of the meat is most likely subpar, but it tastes absolutely delicious. Once or twice a week is completely fine—just make sure not to over do it.“

“I only get takeout from Joyo in Glendale, and it’s always great. The food is fresh, packed well, and ready on time. The beef dishes are especially good—tender, flavorful, and cooked just right. Sushi is solid too. Quick, reliable, and delicious every time.“
“Came in with my husband for sesame chicken, dumplings and wonton soup on a chilly Friday night. We dined in and had the soup brought out to us in bowls to share, along with a yummy side salad, followed by the dumplings and then our sesame chicken. Every single item was prepared SO fresh. You can tell everything was just made and delicious. One of the owners (I forgot her name) was so sweet and came over to bring us some dessert to try (which was amazing) and talked to us for a bit. Such a nice, friendly atmosphere. We will definitely be back!“
“White Bear is hands down the BEST wonton place. The food is absolutely amazing — fresh, flavorful, and honestly addicting. Every single time I come here, I leave so happy.
The service is what really sets this place apart though. That kind of kindness is so rare and truly appreciated. The guy at the front desk is genuinely one of the nicest people — always welcoming, friendly, and makes you feel like more than just a customer.
You can tell they really care about their food and the people who come in. If you’re thinking about trying this place, DO IT. White Bear never disappoints and will forever be my go-to spot“

“Pulled up to Ten Seconds at 8334 Broadway, Elmhurst like a calm man… left sweating with honor. 😤🍜
Ordered the Spicy Beef Tripe Rice Noodle — fresh, loaded with flavor, and spicy enough to remind you you’re alive. This wasn’t “NYC spicy,” this was Yunnan warning label spicy. Respect.
Then the Crab Meat Pork Soup Dumplings showed up. Pork + crab = rich, slightly sweet, briny perfection. Ginger, Shaoxing wine, white pepper… yeah, somebody back there knows what they’re doing.
Best part? They bring everything out and cook it right in front of you. Dinner and a show. Place is super clean (rare NYC flex), crazy fresh, and doesn’t rob your wallet.
Shoutout to Emily for being mad helpful and kind.
I will absolutely be back. Soon. Possibly tomorrow. 💪🔥🍜“

“We’ve been going here for the past 10 years and due to us moving out of state we have not been back in a long time. We returned last and when I tell you the food still hits!!! The line is always busy so keep calling back. It’s cash only and best to call ahead for pick up. Of course we were so hungry no pics were taken lol“

“I love pho, and I was stoked to find this pho spot in Astoria.
I loved their pho broth; it was super strong, a little salty, but totally good.
I actually finished all my soup, which is rare for me since I usually don't drink or eat soup.
I just wish the portion was a bit bigger for the price. The noodles weren't enough for me; it'd be cool if they had an option for extra noodles or a larger size. But definitely a good place to go, especially in winter, cold weather!“

“I discovered this place through Too Good To Go app. It's a family owned fish market and restaurant. They serve a variety of seafood, Chinese food and sushi. The staff here are very kind and accommodating, which is not the norm with a lot of places on TGTG.
I've been here several times and some of my favorite options are the seafood boil and sushi entrée. The seasoning in the seafood boil is so good! The fish is consistently fresh, which makes sense since it's a fish market. They also use the perfect rice ratio in their sushi. My favorite is the white tuna. The tuna just melts in your mouth, it's absolutely delicious!
Things to keep in mind, this is primarily a fish market so the seating is limited. Best to do takeout.“

“Having just returned from the vibrant streets of Taiwan, my taste buds were still singing with the authentic flavors I experienced. I was honestly a little skeptical about finding anything that could truly compare back home, but this place absolutely blew me away!
From the first bite, it was clear that this isn't your average street food. There's a noticeable elevation in the quality and presentation, but thankfully, the authentic taste remains completely intact. It's like a delicious flashback to the night markets of Taipei – the same incredible aromas, the same satisfying textures, and those unmistakable, bold flavors that define Taiwanese cuisine.
If you're craving a true taste of Taiwan without the long flight, look no further. This spot has managed to capture the magic and deliver an experience that genuinely competes with the real deal. Highly, highly recommended!“

“I absolutely love this place! The food is consistently delicious, which is rare to find these days. It’s tough to come across a Chinese restaurant that truly delivers every time as most are hit or miss. But Jasmine House is a total gem. The Chinese food is fantastic, and the Thai food is a home run too! The meats are high quality as there is no fat or cartilage. What really sets this place apart is their consistency. Every order has been spot on. Highly recommend!“

“Amazing noodle soup. I got the green pepper big bowl with fish. Did not expect the bowl to be so huge. Intense numbing spice that you acclimate to throughout the meals I ate the whole thing and got free extra noodles. I was late to meet my friends after due to the itis but it was worth it“

Reminds me of a small ramen shop you would find in japan
I love their chicken katsu curry ramen.
The chicken katsu is delicious and crispy
The curry flavor is deep and rich.
The prices are the same as any other ramen shop
A perfect place to take your kids if they love anime or Naruto“
“The food served here is delicious, and I have eaten here for many years. The lamb over rice takes the cake for the best food you can get, and there is a generous amount of sauce and meat, with bell peppers too(white sauce + hot sauce is the best option). Best gyro you can get around and I don't agree with the other(older) reviews about bad customer service, as I have been consistently receiving good service.“
“MoLiXian is one of the stalls in the New World Food Court. It offers all kinds of desserts and snacks - from ice cream, egg puffs, to savory crepes and, supposedly, noodle soups. Since this is a day trip for me and this is a food court, I wanted to sample around. Here, there's a dedicated menu section on takoyaki, so I decided it must be worth a try. There are 4 different takes on takoyaki. I took T1, the classic take with bonito flakes. Menu says jumbo, but actually it's just slightly larger than the mini ones I've had else where. Taste is good, but as always everywhere, they don't really put much octopus in them. Their version also weren't sweet which was a good thing. I don't like the fact that many Japanese dishes mix sweet and savory together. Overall, it was a good experience.“
“If you’re looking for a budget-friendly lunch, this place is it. Their $9 lunch boxes are amazing value, especially the Braised Pork Trotter with Soybeans and the Chestnut Chicken. Flavors are home-style and not greasy. Feels like a meal made with care.“

“If you want pretty good sushi, and don't need ambiance, go here. Real good sushi, no frills service and fair price. The menu is fairly broad and the kitchen does justice to both Japanese and Chinese dishes. Definitely worth checking out. Very limited seating. Suggest try a take-out first“
“My recent meal at 家有炖罐 was a great example of how traditional Chinese cooking can be both comforting and deeply rooted in culture and history.
The beef fried rice showed strong basic technique. Fried rice dates back to ancient China as a way to use leftover rice, and doing it well requires high heat and quick cooking. The rice here was light and separate, not clumpy, which suggests it was made with day-old rice and cooked properly over high heat. The beef added a rich, savory flavor, while simple ingredients like soy sauce, garlic, and scallions kept the dish balanced and not overly heavy.
The crab roe soup dumplings were one of the highlights. These dumplings are originally from the Jiangnan region and are known for their delicate wrappers and soup-filled centers. The soup inside is made by mixing meat with a gelatin-rich stock that melts when steamed. The crab roe added a slightly sweet, ocean-like flavor that made the filling taste more complex. Ingredients like ginger and Shaoxing wine are typically used to enhance the flavor and keep it well-balanced.
The standout dish was the black chicken soup with red dates, longan, and lotus seeds. This dish reflects an important idea in Chinese food culture that food can also support health. Black chicken (often called Silkie chicken) is commonly used in nourishing soups. Red dates add natural sweetness and are often believed to help with blood health, longan has a gentle sweetness and is traditionally linked to relaxation, and lotus seeds add a mild, nutty taste and are associated with digestion and sleep. The soup itself was light but full of flavor, likely simmered for hours to bring out the essence of all the ingredients without needing heavy seasoning.
The fried string beans added a nice contrast in texture. They were likely cooked using a dry-frying method, which removes moisture and creates a slightly crispy, wrinkled surface. This method brings out the natural sweetness of the beans. With simple additions like garlic, the dish remained flavorful without overpowering the rest of the meal.
What stood out most was the balance both in flavor and in the idea of food as nourishment. It’s a place that reflects how Chinese cuisine values not just taste, but also tradition and well-being.“

The timing of the ad was perfect - I saw it on the first day of the virus lockdown when takeout/delivery became the only option. Great timing with the ad! “$12 cai pan fan - 2 veggies and 1 meat dish
I come here when I crave rice and something spicy. They offer cold dishes as side dishes or you can have them as part of of your lunch meal. Got the tofu shreds and celery, bamboo shots in chili oil, and the beef tendon & tripe. They were all delicious. I know other places have cheaper prepared rice dishes like this around flushing but if im in NY food court, this is a nice meal as well which includes hot soup.
Ive recommend their hot oil chili hicken, chicken feet, and the fried fish too. I see lots of locals get their hot rice dishes. Might be worth a try too!“

All together $90.00, not bad. The service was good and the server Sandy was amazing, left her a good tip. The other one not so…wink…wink! However, I would definitely recommend this place for family!“
