“This is my neighborhood bar! I don't get to go often, but when I do Travis and the other bartenders are so nice and welcoming. I recently had my birthday party at their private back room and Travis checked in to make sure everything was going well! The room had amazing atmosphere and was very clean and well designed. We weren't able to hang decorations on the wall, but was allowed to hang them on the back curtain and use balloons. Service is always amazing but most importantly the drinks and food are top notch. I accidentally left a bday gift at the party and they were able to find it for me later that weekend. Thank you for a good time and hope to be back soon!!“
“Amazing staff and food!! We ordered the grilled pork appetizer and it was so delicious! The meat was super tender and flavored. It just melts in your mouth! For our entrees we got the seafood pad cha which comes with a good variety of seafood ranging from shrimp, scallop, squid, and mussels just to list some. The flavors just blended really well. And the classic drunkin noodles are always good ??“
“Do not sleep on this place. Food was great, plenty for 4 of us with just a couple apps and two mains. They're all over the top nice, and I was kind of surprised the cocktails were solid quality.Overall great; no notes. Happy we chose it.“
“Hidden Gem in every sense of the words. This tops the list of one of the best meals we’ve ever had. Chef Jeremy does absolutely everything possible to transform his tiny space into the best part of your trip to Dumbo. The food is next level, we were blown away by the braised beef noddles. Dont skip on the dumplings, they are some of the best dumplings we had in NYC. The matzah ball soup dumplings were an innovative showstopper. Mad respect for this place, thank you!“
“I like this place a lot, the ambience is mostly what you come in for, but check your bill! They add the service charge to the bill and then the terminal asks for MORE as you’re signing. In my experience, service charge if it’s above a certain number of people, I was just with 1 other friend. I think their menu says gratuity is included, so just keep that in mind. Also, don’t order the tacos, it’s 16$ with such small portion of lettuce, guacamole and meat. The tortillas are hard and it’s disappointing for it to be so expensive. The meal was so simple for it to be so bad and expensive. The shrimp tostones are delicious though! When they opened, they used to give you 3 tostones. and now they decreased it to 2. I think it the food might decrease in quality as this place gets more popular unfortunately. Hopefully not! The drinks are great! Join the WhatsApp chat and you’ll get special deals!“
“Highly recommend Bubo for your next dinner option or happy hour! The food is delicious and offers much more variety than your typical bars. The ambiance was warm and cozy and a great spot for a date night or hanging out with some friends. It’s located near a great area with the subway close by which makes commuting that much easier. Would love to come try their brunch next!“
“I don't usually book reservations at places with only a handful reviews, and as of the day of our reservation, Via Toscana had 12 reviews. We loved the menu and decided to check it out for ourselves. Plainly put -- Via Toscana was a delight from start to finish. The service was impeccable, and the chef owner greeted us, sat us, and took our orders. The drinks were delicious, and the meals were *chefs kiss* Get more patrons in this place! It was fantastic!“
“The combination of Spanish and Venezuelan cuisine is perfectly executed in this restaurant! Henry our server helped to recommend us some of his favorite dishes, I highly recommend the arepitas. They came out pillowy and soft with a wonderful crust on them. A person in our group was a vegetarian and there were more than enough meat free dishes for them to enjoy themselves alongside us. The atmosphere, food and service were all 10/10!“
“I had an exceptional dining experience at this restaurant! The atmosphere was buzzing with positive energy, thanks to the lively pop music and vibrant neon lights. As for the food, the Yakitori skewers were so flavorful; the asari no sakamushi was delicious, with the garlic/butter sauce. I would def come back. Also, the service was top knotch!“
“I cannot even begin to explain how INCREDIBLE my night was here. First of all, the drinks are some of the best i’ve ever had and don’t even get me started on the food. THE BURGER!!! it’s a must. But all that aside, the staff and the ambiance are really what make this please a must. Everyone is so nice and keep the vibes up!!! I highly recommend this spot for a first date, an anniversary or even a birthday!! They can do it all.Dietary restrictions: Very accommodating when it comes to a gluten free kitchen.“
“There is not much variety of food, the atmosphere is good but there is no place to give celebration surprises, I didn't like that. I went to celebrate my first year anniversary and I couldn't give the surprise because they didn't do that there. That's what I liked. I'm quite disappointed.“
“Her food is really delicious! ! ! ! The ingredients are all very fresh, the food is served very quickly, the food is beautiful and the portions are large, and the service quality is super nice! The fried eel slices are a must-try. The eel slices are so fresh and bouncy when eaten, and they go perfectly with the bamboo shoots! The pickled fish is also super delicious, the meat is tender and firm, and the pickled cabbage is soothing and refreshing! ! Super recommended! !“
“Absolutely!"Fantastic experience at Hongdae Korean! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was inviting and authentic. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed throughout our meal. The food was simply outstanding - each dish bursting with flavor and prepared with care.Overall, Highly recommend Hongdae Korean for anyone craving delicious Korean cuisine!"“
“I love the vibe of this tiny standing wine bar. It reminds me of a traditional Japanese izakaya. You don't get much cozy neighborhood bars in Manhattan anymore, especially not in Chelsea, which is flooded with trendy cocktail bars serving $20 pre-tax/tip cocktails. Somehow the food served manages to be simply delicious as well. And no, that's not the wine talking.1. WHITE ANCHOVY (marinated in vinegar + sicillian olives) $72. GRILLED CALAMARI (sauteed kale, bottarga) $163. GRILLED BRANZINO (shredded carrots, celery, onion dressing) $174. PENNE AMATRICIANA (applewood smoked bacon, onion, parmesan, tomato sauce) $16“
“Gurume is a hidden gem in the heart of NYC theater district. It offers a delightful fusion of traditional flavorful Korean cuisine with a modern twist. The ambiance provides you a young bustling vibe, warm lightning and vibrant murals. Staff were very knowledgeable, friendly and courteous.Gurume offered Korean inspired cocktails, premium soju and traditional teas to accompany the dishes.Vegetarian options: Most dishes can be customized for vegetarians. Staff were very considerate and knowledgeable to enquire any restrictions before they place the order. It was impressive when staff came to let us know one dish has fish oil which was unavoidable. They go a long way to make customers feel special“
“It is always to come back to this great place. I love stuff there and the atmosphere they are making there. Unique drinks, with great flavors you'll never think off. Amazing food, always tasting delicious. Highly recommended to visit while being in Greenpoint.“
“This is some of the best Mexican food I've ever had. Everything tasted so fresh and homemade, especially the tortillas. The Birria Nortena was juicy, tender, and delicious! Plus the portion size was very generous. The three other people I was with got steak tacos, chicken enchiladas, and Carnitas Michoacanas. All were amazing! It looks like a small place when you see it from the front but the restaurant is actually downstairs.I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a nice sit down Mexican restaurant.“
“Perfect for date night. It was our first time here and we loved it. We attended a wine-pairing dinner with wines from a special region from the north of Italy. However I can see us coming back for a laid back night. You can order from a thoughtfully curated wine list while enjoying a nice dinner in a warm and inviting place.“
“My friends and I had a great experience here. The service was really good, friendly and attentive. I love the Balearic sunset cocktail and the food was amazing, I highly recommend the eggplant, one of the best things I tried this year so far. Also, the ambient is really nice, with live music on the background but not too loud, so you can still enjoy the conversation with your friends. Will be back for sure.“
“Stopped here for a quick bite. The mussels fra Diavlo were excellent. The sauce hit all the right notes, I finished every bit of it. Just perfect! The menu is rather small, but it was my understanding, that you can ask for different dishes, and they might be able to cook them for you.Great place, will come again if in the area.Parking: It's hard to find a parking in the area, but if you go a couple of blocks from Arthur Avenue, it gets better.“
“Wow. It’s a little gem of place. My husband I shared 1/2 doz oyster, cheese plate, ceviche, scallops and finished with flourless chocolate dessert. Everything was so delicious and beautifully presented. Service was excellent and fabulous atmosphere. We will definitely come again.“
“My friend and I had a girls day in nyc. We found this restaurant on Google and we absolutely loved it. The minute we walked in the service was wonderful. Our server Juan went above and beyond for us with excellent service. We will definitely be coming back to Bonsaii NYC!“
“Cafe Camellia is amazing! Great addition to the neighborhood with really fresh and original coastal seafood and excellent drinks. The environment is really warm and the service is fun and great! Highly recommend the margarita, truffle old fashioned, and great wine list! For food, we love the ribs, crab cake, shrimp and grits, and basically everything we've had. And make sure get the both desserts every time!“
“5 stars, hands down! For $56 a pop, Traif’s tasting menu is a steal. Think tuna tartar on fried eggplant and strawberry baby ribs that are just chef’s kiss. Whether you're all about that seafood or craving some land meat, you’ll walk out of there more than satisfied. Just a heads up, indoor seating’s the way to go unless you’re cool with mosquitos joining the feast.“
“Stopped in late for brunch and were wowed. Service with a smile from everyone. Don't miss the ginger chai tea latte, the Bellini and the Paloma. The country frittata and the komplet lepinja (homemade bread with baked in scrambled eggs) with prosciutto were great; fresh ingredients, hot, filling. Their homemade bread is airy with a bite and reminded me of a bialy. The brunch menu is limited, but you can order off their dinner menu where there's so many options from soups, salads, to oxtail cavatelli. There's about six or so comfy bar stools, seating in the front, a few smallish booths across from the open kitchen and a large dining area in the back with high ceilings and a staircase to a second level all decorated similarly. There's a tile pizza oven in the back too.Two snags, the music was a little loud for us. It also seemed the acoustics were off because a couple of times there was a loud boom that sounded like a speaker dropped and the music got louder-ugh-yes, we gettin' ole. The lights were also too bright near the booths. Since it was after 5 the chef lowered the lights but not the music. The menu looks great and can't wait to try dinner.“
“Currently $56 per person for tasting menu. Delicious, unique, amazing flavors!! All waiters were nice. They were transparent about adding 20% tip to the bill. My 1 year old baby ate guac, duck, bone marrow and more and loved it! One of the best restaurants I have EVER been to! I will come back!“
“We come here kinda often, can’t believe we never left a review. This is such a complete bar. Snacks, great cocktails, friendly service…This time we stopped by before and after dinner at Chavelas. We had a bunch of drinks and we had fun. The bathroom is bigger than my 3bed apartment “
“I was really excited to finally try this place, had high expectations, and it was just alright. The whipped feta was kinda too thick, almost like cream cheese? Idk I wasn’t a huge fan. Ordered the Barbari bread to eat with it and it was fantastic, but not even feel close to enough bread for the amount of feta (for two people). Then we had the eggplant & yogurt kashke bademjan - I enjoyed the flavor on this but it was a little too saucey for me. Lastly, tried the short rib and definitely liked this one the most. It was tender and flavorful but the combination with beans was unexpected and slightly weird. Our waiter was helpful and attentive, and the atmosphere was fine. We sat in one of the back rooms so it’s sort of tucked away from the rest of the restaurant. Overall this place kind of missed the mark for me!“
“I had an absolutely amazing time organizing my 30th birthday party at Tuffet! Alicia, Tyler, and the rest of the staff here were absolutely lovely to work with leading up to and during my event. I reserved the indoor back room along with several plates of food and some sangria pitchers, all of which was perfect to keep the party going for hours. Everyone loved the rest of the drink menu too and the cozy set up in the rest of the bar. I'll definitely be back, and highly recommend Tuffet for hosting events!“
“Stopped by here while waiting for an event I had to go to - it was freezing out and the staff were so kind. Food came fast and was delicious, the pork was melt in your mouth tender, the noodle had great texture and the miso broth had an excellent flavor depth! It felt very bright and cozy, will definitely be back!“
“We've eaten a lot of korean food in NYC, including various price points and tasting menus, and this is hands-down one of the best we've experienced. The dishes are inventive, but have a balance of flavors that are both familiar as well as new. Dishes are well seasoned, cookery is excellent. No complaints. Would eat here repeatedly.“
“Little gem of a restaurant. Wonderful service and cocktails. Everyone's food was superb except one person's as the steak special was expensive and the meat was tough. Nice charcuterie board for an appetizer. Great, attentive waiter.“
“best tapas outside of spain, and fair prices for the quality and taste, freshness too.used to be on 19st pre pandemic this location is beautiful. staff very friendly. we’ve been all over, to thousands of restaurants in the city and this is one of our favorites.Kid-friendliness: lots of families and lots of space“
“I’ve visited twice and had several items on the menu and not a single one disappoints. Cozy atmosphere, and very friendly waiters and bartenders. The service is really great as well. I’m so happy to have Fito as a great addition to the neighborhood.Vegetarian options: The nachos can be prepared vegetarian, and there are many pescatarian options (shrimp ceviche, tuna tartare).“
“Delicious panini and baked goods! Service is always very friendly and welcoming. One of my favorite places in Astoria! Great for dine in, takeout, or delivery. They have a lovely outdoor patio in the back, and the indoor dining space is cute as well.“
“Good upscale style vegan Asian fusion restaurant, although portions could be bigger. If you want a big satisfying meal I wouldn’t recommend coming here.I do highly recommend the Japanese sweet potato and sushi (can’t remember which roll). I wouldn’t normally order vegan sushi but this was surprisingly delicious even though there was no fish, so definitely worth it! We also had the Singapore noodles but that was just alright, very light and not much vegetables.“
“@soogilnyc for #Valentinesday. Still one of the best value in town for fine-dining/ chefs-tasting-menu.@soogil is an under-the-radar hidden gem. The beef tartare with Asian pear was just out of this world. The mango sorbet was an out-of-the-park home run to finish off the evening. And Chef Soogil Lim came out to greet us. That was a special treat! We were so surprised we’ve forgotten to take a picture with him. #chefstastingmenu #tastingmenu #finedining #koreanfusion #culinaryarts #nyc #foodtravel #bestrestaurants #hiddengems #foodie #foodienyc #foodblogger #foodies #foodiesnyc“
“I would say the ambiance is great, I can see why people have date nights here. The service is decent. The food is okay. I came from queens to try the unagi don because I didn’t see any places that will give you a whole piece like this. The eel was hard to break apart I would say, like kinda rubbery? Not sure how to explain it. The sauce is as expected. There are a lot of reviews saying the food is oily and I would say those are pretty accurate (especially for yakiniku). There’s not that much rice. We don’t drink so we can’t really comment on that. Either way, our overall experience was okay and it’s sort of try it once type of place.“
“I've been a fan of Domino's sister bar, Pinkerton, for a long time, so I was excited to finally this place a try. Perfect, cozy spot for a well-curated but unpretentious glass of wine and thoughtful small plates to accompany your pour. Staff is knowledgeable, helpful and on-point. The space is really well-designed. Great for dates.“
“Had a small tasting of cheeses that came with quince jam(Mahon Curado and Idiazabal), crusty soft bread with pure tangy EVOO, and a pear cardamom mezcal cocktail that was so juicy and balanced; They have a full dinner menu and many options for tapas and drink; Food is fresh and flavorful, great atmosphere, LIVE music, and service, a great place to come whether you're apart of the building community, on a date, or with family and friends.“
“Highly recommend the ribeye (steak and mashed potatoes) and chicken wings. With over 90 beers to choose from, it's impossible to go wrong with this place. We were taken care of by Rina, who is there Fri and Sat. Amazing and attentive waitress who knows her beers. Visit this place!“
“This is my favorite neighborhood bar. All the bartenders are super nice. The backyard is gorgeous. While the cocktails are pricey, it’s a higher end bar so it’s expected. Also they have a great balance to them and the pig names are adorable. They have a solid happy hour and their wine Wednesdays are a great deal. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. It has the perfect lighting, which is a weird thing to notice but it works for the mood. The owners are often there and they clearly care about their bar, staff, and patrons.I want their business to do amazing but low key don’t want it to blow up too much because this is my go to neighborhood spot. I’ve been here for my birthday, after buying my wedding dress, to celebrate a new job, to plan our move, the day after my city hall wedding, a few days after my big wedding and so so many nights.Vegetarian options: Plenty of GOOD vegetarian and vegan options. No sad side salad for you here.Dietary restrictions: Have been really good about my dairy allergy and will speak to the kitchen staff. They will deff not give you an attitude.“
“My favorite neighborhood wine bar in Kips Bay/Murray Hill. The staff are soooo friendly, service is quick and the decorations/ambiance of the inside is adorable. They have oyster/wine flight happy hour that is 100% worth it. The dry red wine flight (cote de Rhône especially) and the dozen oysters for under $35. Have been and will be back!!“
“Went by Despaña for what was supposed to be a quick lunch stop, but we ended up having lunch inside to enjoy the lovely ambience. The place is run by people that truly care about their produce, and you can taste it as well. We went for two toasted sandwiches, I really recommend visiting!“
“I have to say that I was so pleasantly surprised at how great the service was at this very popular wine bar. We went in on a Friday night before seeing a play across the street. The staff could not have been nicer, very helpful with our selections and very professional. The manager even remembered us after we stopped back in after the play. The wine selections are nicely curated and the food is delicious. Will definitely stop back again.“
“Great little spot! I had some extra time while waiting to meet up with others and popped in for a drink. The servers were really sweet, especially Gigi! She helped me find a wine on the happy hour special that I really enjoyed. They weren't serving food the night I was there, so I can't comment on it, but Gigi let me (and others) know as soon as I sat down which I really appreciate. The drinks are yummy, the music is fun, and the decor is a super nice modern cellar feel. I definitely recommend stopping by to check out Cello!“
“Excellent food, excellent service, and great selection of adult beverages!A very convenient way of reserving a table at this rather small place, where you can call 20 minutes before you arrive, and the kind staff will hold a table for you for about 10 minutes. Exactly what we did for a table of four for a Sunday late brunch. The place is tiny and while it has outdoor seating, it's probably best for the same in summer. They have good cocktails and a good selection of beers on tap.We ordered coffees ($3), Grilled Cheese ($17) which lacked taste, Burrito Wrap ($17) which we ordered with Chimichurri truffle fries (extra $4) - which were absolutely delicious, a very tasty Portobello Burger ($15) which also felt light on the stomach, and Tacos (3 for $15) which were good.Service was good and food arrived within 20 minutes. Noise level was on the average side, and our server Joseph ensured that everything went smooth during our stay here for about an hour or so. Overall, a good experience, and we will certainly drop by again during summer!Vegetarian options: Limited Options for Vegetarians“
“We celebrated our wedding ceremony and reception at MyMoon in October 2023 with a party of 75 people. We cannot fully express how wonderful the whole experience was for us. The venue was everything we wanted- Spanish decor, moody, romantic, cozy, and beautiful greenery in the courtyard and deck. The food and cocktails were delicious! Our event coordinator, Lee, is knowledgeable, super responsive, and organized. The staff was well equipped, attentive, and knew how to run an event. Our wedding went smoothly and Lee was there to address any unexpected concerns and provide support throughout the day. Our guests were surprised by this hidden gem in Brooklyn and expressed how much they enjoyed their time! We would love to attend a wedding here as guests!“
“Really solid Iranian food @ a great value, in a place with great service & a cool ambiance. I was really impressed my first time going and expect this to be a go-to! I heard they served sosis bandari at one pt - if they bring that back I’m there immediately ??“
“It’s a great vibe here. You can smoke cigars whether you bring your own or they offer you one. they have hookah, amd drinks and for affordable price. most likely great music. A place to bring your partner or home boys for good times to relax listen to music you wont regret “
