50 Best Pizza Restaurants in Dayton

“Originally from Buffalo NY, found it very difficult to find a pizza that even comes close to what I was used to. I've tried many pizzas across the Miami Valley and all I can say is that most were pretty bad, and a few ok but not much more. 2 places were halfway decent but those places went downhill. I finally tried Joe's Pizza last month and have to say, the Absolute Best in Miami Valley. It was the closest to Buffalo Style Pizza I ever had in Southwest Ohio. Told their Staff the same. I will definitely be going back there despite being a little drive from where I live. I would recommend Joe's Pizza to everyone, especially if you're looking for a quality pizza!!“

“Ok so we’ve dined at Old Scratch Troy location about 6 times since it’s opened. Waited a bit to give them time to really get in their groove. While I do recommend the place. Pizza is good, staff is nice (especially Amanda at the bar) and shareables are tasty. That said I would like to see the food’s taste be a little more consistent. My favorite dish is the fire roasted cauliflower but sadly it hasn’t been prepared the same way twice with the last two times it was barely seasoned at all once it was almost raw. Hopefully as training continues they will fix that issue.“

My only complaints were the lamb was overcooked, but still juicy, and the kids running all over the place (and the boy that was hitting his brother with a belt, not hard, but still annoying).“

“Alot of kids running around banging into people, saw no parents with them. It was bad. First visit here loved their food, had senior discount, NO FREE REFILLS ON DRINKS. REFILLS WERE FULL PRICE, WONDER HOW THEY DO THAT WITH PARTIES? NEVER HEARD OF PLACE, WE WERE DRIVING BY AND STOPPED IN.“

I've never left a review here, just never thought to, but when they give you a free small because of a slightly mess up pizza (toppings slid on edge piece on transfer to box) still delicious, I have to. “I LOVE this place. My mom has been coming here since she was a kid. Every time I’m in town now we always make sure to get it to take home w us. They have a patent on their pizza so you knowww it’s good. The staff is always super sweet and the place is always clean. The way it looks is beautiful too! Super cold school.“

“Come with family, come on a date, or come by yourself the food is so good! I have tries mamy pasta dishes and I am happy to say I have loved them all. The Drunken Shrimp is my favorite pasta dish that has a nice kick and tons of flavor. The Linguine Bolognese is so good, the Shrimp Scampi is light and tasty, and even the classic Spaghetti and Meatballs is good. I have not personally had the pizza but my mom raves about it. She customizes her pizza each time or orders the special and has never been disappointed with what she gets. She also recommends the espresso martinis. Great food, lovely place, great service and a must try for the area. I promise you won't be disappointed and order the choclate mousse for dessert.“

“Had a great experience at Mikey’s Late Night Slice! The pizza was fantastic, and I loved all the different sauce options to customize each slice. The atmosphere was fun and unique, and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful from the moment we walked in. Definitely a spot we’ll be coming back to again soon!“

“I was born and raised in Italy, I was also a waitress there and served many pizzas. Troni is by far the closest to authentic Italian pizzas in the entire area. Absolutely delicious and well priced. Our family has always enjoyed it as well as the service.“

“Small pizza place, and venue. The menu is vast, and the portions are large. Certainly a great value ratio. Beers are cold, with a great draft selection. The liquor side isn't giant, so if your particular about sports, you may not get exactly what you're looking for, but they have the basics. Servers are top notch, and let's not forget about the patio!“

“Tried Old Dayton Pizza for the first time today and it was AMAZING! You can tell the ingredients are fresh. The margarita pizza and pepperoni pizza were 10/10. Beth the bartender was extremely friendly and informative (and great drinks). We’ve been looking for a pizza to compare to Western New York and this is it. As a Dayton girl, it’s a sad day to say this beats Marion’s. But SO good.“

“We order from this dominos all the time and the food is always great but I want to give a huge shout to Mike/Michael our delivery driver. He is always so kind and polite my kids get so excited so say hi and he acknowledges them every time. Such a kind gentle man.“

“Ordered from north main store for delivery to Kettering health Dayton and the driver called to see where to deliver it when I put those directions online when I order and they always take it to the wrong entrance so I said it 3 times he got very rude and hung up on me. I love the pizza very good but don’t do delivery from that location they are rude to their customers will never order from there again due to the employees not the food.“

Their thin-crust pizza is legendary—perfectly crispy, loaded with high-quality toppings, and the sauce has the best flavor. We also ordered their wings, which were cooked to absolute perfection and tossed in a fantastic sauce. The menu has a great variety of classic tavern food, and everything comes out hot and fresh.
