Tonight we ordered delivery and when on the phone she said they have a special. Chicken balls. BEST CHICKEN BALLS EVER. Just say yes to the specials. Also say yes to everything else. The food here makes me happy.

“I’m a regular at Nang Saigon, and it’s hands down one of the best pho spots in the city. The rib pho is unbeatable — rich broth, perfectly cooked noodles, and that huge rib that falls right off the bone. Every bowl has heart, and every visit is consistent.

I made the mistake of wandering over to that new, over-hyped Ossington spot everyone keeps talking about. Pricey, flashy, and more about appearances than substance — the kind of place built for buzz, not for flavor. It’s the textbook example of hype over heart.

Places like Nang Saigon are why it’s better to support real mom-and-pop shops instead of throwing money at the latest fad. They’ve been quietly serving quality pho day in and day out, and it shows. Easily a top 5 bowl in Toronto.“

“Scarborough North just got a new gem — and it’s Pho Anh Vu’s latest location! This spot carries the same authentic flavours and warmth the brand is known for, now closer for Scarborough locals to enjoy.

The Chà Giò (spring rolls) were perfectly crisp on the outside, packed with savoury filling, and begging to be dipped into nuoc cham.

But it’s the soups that truly shine. The Phò Suon Bò Xí Quách was rich and hearty, with fall-off-the-bone beef ribs in a broth so flavourful it could stand on its own. The Phò Nąm offered comforting simplicity, while the Phò Tái Nąm combined rare tender beef with well-done flank for the perfect mix of textures in every spoonful.

“This little run down place has been around for many years. It’s a family owned local joint, hidden in the neighborhood. Come for authentic Vietnamese dishes at reasonable price. We had bun Bo hue and banh cuon for lunch and was delicious as always. Definitely recommend and will be back when we’re in the hood.“

Parking is very tight. Literally the parking spots are smaller than average.

Their service is on par wjth most restaurants. Can they be busy. Absolutely. I wish they remove the tables for take out.

Use the tablet to add yourself to wait list if they are busy. Be patient with others while waiting

Typical family restaurant. Eat and go. Don’t hang around for a long talk. Be considerate and let others enjoy and share the amazing taste of their food

Highly recommended. Nothing can be done to improve the atmosphere unless they undergo major renovation.

“The best Banh mi in town it never disappoints. I love the fresh rolls. It takes a lot of time to make. So why not just buy them instead. I got there ealry before they ran out. Getting there for 9am was perfect. The banh mi bread was fresh and crunchy. The bao was also nice and warm. I was happy with my lunch. The server was friendly and polite. The prices were reasonable and the portions were good.“

“I probably order from Vit Beo virtually once week. They're so good that let's put it like this: I love sprouts with my pho. Vit beo is the only viet place I know that doesn't serve them w pho (or hoisin for that matter). I could easily order pho from any other place in the city and get all the accoutrements, but the quality of Vit's broth and beef is so damn high, that instead, I go out of my way to separately buy all accoutrements while grocery shopping on Saturday so that I can have them with my Vit pho takeout. Also, don't miss out on the chicken Banh Mi--it's SO awesome with extra kewpie and meat! Staff are super friendly, and again, their ingredient quality is extremely high, pure, and fresh. The smaller menu means WAY better ingredients and attention to detail. Definitely a must try!“

“There's a new wave of Vietnamese restaurants opening in Toronto but this place by far is the best. New food items that you won't see at other places. The ambiance is great and beautiful. Staff are polite and friendly. Definitely try this place. They are opening other locations too.“

“Came here for lunch to support a local business (and had a discount coupon). Got the butter beef broken rice bowl. The portions of meat is very generous and the freshness of the veggies made the dish very high quality. It’s alot of rice and for the discounted price, it was well worth it. I would come here again to try the other meats. One complaint is that there are no non-meat options. I came with my colleagues and some didn’t end up getting anything because of dietary restrictions. Should add a tofu option to menu.“

“Great Northern Vietnamese restaurant. Been here many times for dine in and take out. Staff have always been pleasant and food is delicious and portions are big.

“Had the vermicelli with lemongrass chicken & spring rolls. The toppings were so delicious! Super flavourful and juicy. The sauce they gave was too little so I had to ask for extra. The noodles they used were misua noodles, not vermicelli. It was busy so service was a bit slow. Price is really good for the portion size!“

“Pho Lang Van is an absolute gem! The broth is incredibly rich and flavorful — the kind that warms you to your core with every sip. Presentation is spot-on: vibrant herbs, crisp vegetables, and perfectly cooked noodles, all served in a clean and inviting setting. The B02 was a standout, beautifully balanced in taste and texture. Fresh, tasty, and made with clear attention to detail.

A small shop with a wide variety of Vietnamese eats, that take me back to my time in Vietnam. From giant steamed baos stuffed with Chinese sausage, egg and pork, to a mung bean and mochi sticky rice, to tapioca dumplings, to pork dumplings, to pretty much everything else I can crave, they seem to have it despite the small location.“

“Tiny restaurant. Always full but the tables turn over relatively quickly. Wonderful silky smooth Pho. Very nice Bun. And my favourite Laska Pho. Try the hot Vietnamese coffee with milk.“

“I love this Vietnamese place. It's the best bang for your buck while still tasting authentic. The only one problem is if you get the older gentleman as the cashier, he will get your order wrong if you add any customization to your order; no mattet if he says okie or got it. The younger lady and the older lady will get it right.

“I've been to Ca Phe Rang a handful of times since they opened, and my visit on November 10th was by far the best one yet. The pork belly spring rolls are great, as are the wings. Excellent service, thank you so much to the team for all their recommendations and attention to detail!“

“Amazing food, fast service and had good vibes but it was kind of weird hearing staffs swear. The restaurant is fairly small and quiet since I visited early in the morning and staffs were chatting and swearing loudly. Probably wouldn't bring kids here, but overall really enjoyed my meal.

We got the big platter and mango salad, was too much for 2 people. Also an egg coffee. Food was good, chao tom was okay but everything else was excellent, especially good seasonings on the meat. Portion also didn't disappoint.

“Some of the best Pho in the city! So happy the pandemic didn’t impact their recipe. Perfect dark brown, clear and fragrant broth containing tender rare beef, noodles and I add veggies. This was what I’d been craving during lockdown. As usual Viet Thai Kitchen didn’t disappoint! 10/10 recommended!“

“Come here for the food not the atmosphere, as no frill as and as authentic as you are going to get in Chinatown.

C1. 福建米粉 aka Hokkien Noodles / Bún-mì-vàng Phúc-kiến

This very regional dish that is hard to find as this cuisine comes from a cross of the Fujian Region and Vietnamese Region coming together to formulate this dish. Traditionally this dish is served on the lighter side so the condiments such as the pickled garlic (a must) along with the fish sauce is to flavor to your preference as this dish is usually eaten a bit milder for the seniors.

The msg is a bit heavy so I don’t suggest to consume the soup too heavily, however do try at least half of it as it goes with the noodles and shrimp crackers very well.

The overall atmosphere is pretty hole in the wall like and they definitely need improvements on the interior and to get rid of that strong cigarette smell that comes into their shop. However if you are quickly coming here to grab takeout or a quick bite this is one of of my favorite spots to stop by for a nice unique bowl of noodles. If you do get takeout don’t forget the pickled garlic and maybe ask for a side of fish sauce as the broth might be a bit too mild for some. But do give them a shot and please support them as they are one of the few restaurants left that still makes this homey dish.

Hopefully they can make improvements, but for what it is, I’m not going to argue as other places in the area tend to give me a stomach ache and this place hasn’t, so come here for the food, not the atmosphere. And maybe stick with their specialty and don’t stray too far off on trying things they aren’t known for.“

I’ve had a few things on the menu and everything tasted very fresh, high-quality and delicious. “Hands down the best BUN BO HUE in the city. The combination of spices and spiciness in the soup base really hit the spot. I substituted the beef shank and pork bone for lean rare beef.
