“We ate haidilao at this location first time today, and we have a great experience. Our server Lauren was super friendly and nice. She helped us with the menu and all the promotion, and constantly checking on our table. Really appreciated. Would come back again.“

“Amazing food. We ordered the Husband + Wife Beef. Absolutely loved it. I could eat that all day. The Dan Dan noodles was ultimate comfort food. That was probably my favorite dishes out of all of them. The silver needle noodle was so different and provided that umami flavour that I never had. The cabbage was good, the topping saved the dish. The short ribs and steak were ok. The short ribs weren't as tender and the steak was so chewy, that we to return it. But the staff was apologetic and compensated us with another Dan Dan noodle dish. As for dessert, delicious! Both the French Toast and their soft serve ice-cream, inhaled it! And they make amazing cocktails, I loved the Pear Vesper. Overall, great evening and food, would definitely go back again.“

“This is the best Chinese food I have ever had always fresh my favorite is the chicken balls and vegetable fried rice they are very friendly clean place. ?“

I didn’t expect much from this restaurant, but I had a really enjoyable experience for quite cheap.

The skewers are standard. The meat seems good, and there’s nothing concerning food hygiene. The flavors aren’t too extreme, as if to cover a weakness in food quality. Drinks are also affordable.

I wouldn’t go here just for a casual meal, but for a night out in a bustly environment, paired with decent food and cheap drinks. An easy go-to in the Yonge/Wellesley area.“

“I recently came back from Japan, and when I discovered this restaurant, I was immediately drawn to the individual seating booths. Although this is a Yunnan-style Chinese restaurant, the concept reminded me of the ramen shops I visited in Japan, where you can enjoy your meal in your own little space. I actually found the booths here even nicer than the ones I experienced in Japan! Such a great concept, especially for solo diners.
I ordered the braised beef noodles, and they were absolutely delicious! The portion was HUGE. I managed to eat only about a third of it, so I asked for a takeaway container to enjoy the rest for lunch tomorrow. The best part is that they even offer extra noodles if you finish your bowl!
I also want to mention the lovely waitress who served me. Unfortunately, I did not catch her name, but she was so polite, friendly, and helpful. She really made my visit even more enjoyable.
Overall, I had a wonderful experience. Delicious food, generous portions, a lovely atmosphere, and excellent service. I will definitely be coming back whenever I visit the Art Gallery of Ontario on Dundas Street. This place is going to become my regular stop for a delicious solo lunch! 🍜❤“

“This is among the restaurants that we've been coming back to the most in Toronto. Very friendly staff, excellent service. Great value for money considering both the quality and portion of food. There is a wide variety of menu items to choose from — my go-to order is the Hai Nan Chicken Rice, but friends have tried and also loved others like Pork Chop and Fried Noodles.“

Make sure you are ordering the menu called “Hamilon “ or you will not get the correct order! ( ask me how I know…..)“

“Went for dinner last night before going to a show. The menu was a bit out of our normal experiences but we wanted a different experience. Or booth was comfortable. Jason answered all of our questions, no matter how silly they probably were for him. He was engaging but not over the top - very likeable. We tried four of the spicy dishes and they were all exceptional! We did not try the skewers, which we now regret, but we will go back to do that for sure. What a great dinner experience! The fried rice on the other hand was great. Highly suggest that one, and the spring roll was pretty good as well. 4 is a fair score for the food I got here.“

“Came here for a late-night dinner and love that they’re open 24 hours! It’s so convenient when you’re looking for food at odd hours.

We ordered the pickled cabbage fish noodles, naengmyeon, chicken cartilage skewers, and house special pork steamed buns. We also got a free sausage through the Fantuan app, which was a nice bonus!

My favourite was definitely the chicken cartilage skewers! They also offer complimentary rice, pickled vegetables, beef soup, and drinks, which is a great plus.

We got steamed chicken, roast duck, and roast pork. It was delivery but some of the roast pork skin was still crispy. The duck wasn't soaked in goey sauce like some places. The chicken came with yummy ginger onion sauce on top. The rice wasn't the best but was good and not mushy... and it came with a few pieces of broccoli. Only downside was we got many fatty pieces of roast pork so couldn't eat those. Will definitely try dine-in soon.“

“Not normally a fan of Northern Chinese food that usually have a lot of offals, but I saw they had a pork knuckle meal that is only $11.99 and I do love me some pork knuckle.

Holy value for money, you get a ton of food for that $12. Pork knuckle, cabbage, pickled mustard greens, tofu, rice and half a tea egg. All for $12. The rice was made really well too (not mushy).

The wife wanted to try the half/half meal which had half knuckle and half intestines ($12.99). I tried a piece and it only confirmed to me that I do not like intestines 😂. The pork knuckle can be a bit heavy as some people have noted. But at these prices how can you go wrong.

We were able to order online ahead and paid when we picked up. Will definitely order from here again the next time we're looking for some cheap eats!“
