“Went here for the first time and got the Maple Leaf Burger, Blue Jays Burger, classic poutine, regular poutine, and Twister fries. I can’t explain how delicious the food was — everything was amazing.
The service from both the owner and the servers was excellent as well. They came by to check on us and made sure everything was good throughout our visit.
Will definitely be coming back and spreading the word to family and friends.

“Had an amazing and positive experience here. My husband and I were looking at the options and we were greeted by Christine who asked us if we wanted to try the new questo cheese and we loved it! We ordered The Works and we substituted the regular cheese to the questo one. There was also a spinning contest and we won 2 for 1 fries for our next visit. Amazing customer service, quick service and great quality as well! Will definitely visit here again!”

“The flavours offered at this bakery are uniquely innovative! We got an iron goddess and pistachio cake. It’s a beautiful cake. Although, we were glad to have tried it, we found the tea mousse too bland (not strong or sweet enough) in combination with the salted (and sage?) spiced pistachio. By themselves, the different layers were delicious. Together, I wish the flavours were better balanced and the chiffon replaced by a denser textured base —perhaps a biscuit, cookie or crumb.”

The experience was worth mentioning as the Desi Bar & Grill's Interior was quite impressive, with the relaxed feeling of an entertaining restaurant with the food, bar service, and server courtesy. It deserves a stars (*****) rating except for one suggestion. It is nice to hear the ever-green Indian Songs except for the loudness associated with the noise this created necessitating keeping it low will be dignified and relaxing for distinguished visitors to engage in audible mutual conversation rather than put restraint and blockage by loud music. Running of soft Indian 'Gazals' will add to the environment apart from Punjabi/Hindi songs.”

“So so so good! Serves vegetarian Chinese cuisine and most of them are vegan as well! Just be a little careful as the fried rice do contain egg. But the dishes, especially the mushroom stir fry and Thai fried rice are so aromatic and flavourful. You can tell that they have really made good use of its vegetables. The coconut milk sticky rice dessert is the cherry on top! It was so good that we asked the waiter for the recipe and she kindly explained it to us! That’s so sweet. “It’s more of a mix of a Korean and Japanese izakaya. It’s Korean-owned, so I wouldn’t say the food is fully authentic Japanese, but everything I’ve tried has always tasted great. I also love their beer and umeshu.

The service was just okay - nothing special. The location is a bit difficult to get to without a car. Overall, I really enjoyed all the food I tried and would definitely come back, although it’s still a bit pricey.”

“This is a fantastic location!

I had the pleasure of visiting there this morning during the peak of the morning rush around 8:15 AM….. The drive-through must have had at least 15 cars and the staff inside were serving many customers

I submitted my order thinking I would pick it up through the drive-through, but after seeing so many cars I made a dash inside and had the pleasure of speaking with the manager that was running an incredible operation

He was kind enough to change my order to pick up and fulfilled the order within several minutes

I stood there in amazement for several minutes watching the 12 or so staff members working in unison to prepare and fill orders faster than I have ever seen at a McDonald’s location

And the best part is, they were doing it while being present with every customer and truly calm under pressure and working well together as a team

As I was leaving the restaurant after less than five minutes, the entire drive-through line had being served - amazing!

“I was there last night to celebrate a special birthday for my friend. Service was great and overall a good experience. I was,however, disappointed that they didn’t seem to be aware that it was her birthday even tho I made a point of telling them that when I made the reservation. She is not a dessert eater but I still thought it would have made it more special if they had surprised her with a bd cake of some sort (I know this is done as have had it done for myself). I tried to hint to the waiters a couple of times that it was a birthday and was not acknowledged until the end when they said they weren’t aware it was her bd and could they bring her a dessert. I knew she would decline but would have been more meaningful if they were aware of the reservation details. Overall the meal was good. Caesar salad was excellent but much too large for 2 people - would serve 3-4 people who were having main course. I ordered beef tenderloin that was described as blue cheese crusted with a fig sauce - there was 2 large dollops of blue cheese on top of steak which is not “crusted” in my opinion and fig sauce was too sweet for my taste (perhaps my fault that I didn’t realize how sweet figs were). I enjoyed the plain leftover steak today much more than original meal. She had prime rib, ladies cut which was huge and said it was delicious as well as the escargot starter which she also enjoyed.”

My very first memory of visiting this location goes back to when the Canadian government temporarily removed the HST to encourage people to support local businesses. Because of that special tax break, enjoying a meal here was way cheaper at the time. It is honestly too bad those ultra-affordable days are gone now that regular pricing has returned. However, even with the higher costs today, the incredible quality of the food makes it entirely worth returning to.”

I usually try the Pho Dac Biet on the first visit to any Pho restaurant. The soup was flavorful and rich, tripe, rare beef and beef balls is cooked well and the fresh noodles have a good balanced texture.

I was here for a quick lunch on a Saturday afternoon, it gets quite busy but I didnt have to line up or wait long.

The owner is friendly and I had a good chat with him about the pokemon cards.

“I’ve been to Milestones many times and have always had a good experience. The food has consistently been delicious, and I’ve really enjoyed coming here. I went again a few days ago, and while our server was very nice, the experience was a little disappointing this time. When I sat down, I noticed some dust or residue inside the water glasses that were already on the table, so they didn’t seem to be properly cleaned. The fries were also unusually hard throughout and quite difficult to eat.

I thought about whether to mention it since my previous experiences here have always been good, but I still wanted to leave some feedback. Hopefully it was just an off day, as I’ve always enjoyed this location otherwise and would still come back.”

“Been coming here ever since I found out about True Boss and its healthy and delicious vinegar enzyme drinks. I was into learning more about gut health during that time, and I realized I really dislike drinking apple cider vinegar (on its own) from those health food retail stores.

True boss has at least 4 different types of fruit vinegar enzymes on the menu (apple, cranberry, peach, plum) and I absolutely fell in love with the Sparkling Plum Vinegar Infusion drink with added aloe dices. (If you are adventurous, go for 30% to no sugar!) There are also tea versions; you can pair it with sparkling, yakult or tea on its own.

From all the overeating, my stomach (bloating) feels better after drinking True Boss. It is definitely a healthier alternative as compared to regular bubble tea. My gut thanks me :3”

“I came here during Korealicious to try traditional Korean soy-marinated crab and shrimp.

The complimentary side dishes were great. My favorites were the sweet soy-braised tofu skin, japchae, and spicy cucumber salad. The hot barley tea also paired really well with the marinated seafood.

The platter comes with six half pieces of soy-marinated crab and six half pieces of spicy marinated crab.

The soy-marinated crab tasted very traditional, with a strong sweet soy sauce flavor. Compared with another Michelin pop-up restaurant I tried before, this version was much richer and saltier. The blue crab meat had a soft, jelly-like texture from the curing process, which was impressive. However, the soy sauce became quite dominant after a few pieces, so I highly recommend pairing it with the beef tendon soup or barley tea to balance the flavors.

The spicy crab, however, wasn’t my favorite. Instead of the sweet, savory heat that I usually associate with Korean gochujang, it leaned more toward the direct heat of Korean chili flakes, similar to the spice level in tteokbokki. I felt the spiciness overwhelmed the natural sweetness of the crab rather than enhancing it.

Marinated Shrimp 🦐

I was worried that eight shrimp wouldn’t be enough, but the plate was huge. They use giant tiger prawns, each about the size of my hand, so two or three are already quite filling.

Because the prawns are so large, they are only lightly cured, so the meat stays firm and springy instead of becoming soft like the Cantonese-style marinated shrimp I’m more familiar with. The sweet soy marinade penetrates the meat very well, making every bite flavorful. However, after a few shrimp, the soy sauce becomes increasingly dominant and the flavor starts to feel one-dimensional. Personally, I prefer the layered flavors of Cantonese-style marinated seafood, where the freshness of the seafood is complemented by ginger, garlic, cooking wine, and fish sauce.

Beef Tendon Soup 🥣

This ended up being my favorite dish of the meal.

The broth was rich with beef flavor and had a wonderful silky texture from the collagen released by the tendon. It paired perfectly with the marinated seafood. A sip of the soup cleansed the palate from the strong soy sauce, making the next bite of crab or shrimp taste fresh again. The tendon itself was tender and well-cooked. The only thing I didn’t enjoy was the mustard soy dipping sauce served on the side.

Overall, this meal felt more like experiencing two very different marinated seafood traditions. Korean-style marinated seafood emphasizes the deep savory flavor developed through soy sauce curing, while Cantonese-style marinated seafood highlights the natural sweetness of the seafood with layers of ginger, garlic, cooking wine, and fresh aromatics. Even though I personally still prefer the Cantonese style, I enjoyed experiencing this traditional Korean approach.”

“Tried Meetrice Noodle recently and really enjoyed the experience. They’re well known for their sour pickle fish noodle, and it didn’t disappoint. The rice noodles are freshly made — bouncy, chewy, and very satisfying.

You can choose between basa fish or snakehead fish, and the fish was very fresh and tender. A nice bonus is the free unlimited white rice or grain rice, which makes the meal even more filling.

We also tried their new stir-fried clams and razor clams — super flavorful and great with rice.

The space is clean and spacious, making it comfortable for families or groups. Overall, a solid spot for noodle and seafood lovers. Would definitely come back to try more dishes.”
