The experience was worth mentioning as the Desi Bar & Grill's Interior was quite impressive, with the relaxed feeling of an entertaining restaurant with the food, bar service, and server courtesy. It deserves a stars (*****) rating except for one suggestion. It is nice to hear the ever-green Indian Songs except for the loudness associated with the noise this created necessitating keeping it low will be dignified and relaxing for distinguished visitors to engage in audible mutual conversation rather than put restraint and blockage by loud music. Running of soft Indian 'Gazals' will add to the environment apart from Punjabi/Hindi songs.”

They have vegan, vegetarian, and meal options available, so you can come for the amazing drinks but also get fed good treats here. The indoor portion of the cafe is not dog-friendly, however the patio is and they have a window to the outdoor area so you could technically order from outside. :)

The team here is very friendly, so feel free to ask them questions and explore their seasonal menu items - they're all hits!”

“We came to this restaurant on a Saturday night as a larger group and came away very satisfied. The food was well prepared and delicious. There was enough variety that everyone ordered something different. One surprise was that there weren't more ramen noodle soup options. As the night was busy, it seemed there might have been a shortage of wait staff. But when they came, they were cordial and attentive. The only thing was the background music was a bit loud making it hard to talk. Otherwise, we recommend this place to others.”

“We hosted my daughter Hanna’s 9th birthday at Boston Pizza for the “Make Your Own Pizza” party and it was absolutely AMAZING! From start to finish, everything was so well organized and stress-free for us as parents.

The kids had the BEST time making their own pizzas and the sundae bar at the end was such a fun and memorable touch. The atmosphere was lively, kid-friendly, and perfect for a birthday celebration. The decorations they provided made it feel extra special and festive.

Our servers went above and beyond — they were kind, patient, and so attentive with a big group of excited kids. The service, food, and overall experience were all 10/10. Every child left happy (and full!), and Hanna said it was her best birthday party ever.

“I’ve been coming to this Tim Hortons almost every day for over a month now, as my husband has been in the hospital. Being here for so long, you start to notice things—good and bad—and I felt it was time I finally left a review.

First, I want to talk about the young lady who seems to be either a manager or supervisor. She’s tall and always moving around, helping in every corner of the store—taking orders, running food, checking on the staff, even wiping tables when no one else is looking. She carries herself with a quiet grace and patience that truly touched my heart.

One day, when I was feeling overwhelmed and tired, she smiled gently at me and took the time to explain my order clearly when I was a bit confused. She didn’t rush me, and I could feel genuine kindness from her—something you don’t always get in busy places like this. I never got the chance to thank her properly, but if she’s reading this: thank you for your warmth, especially during a hard time in my life.

However, not everything is perfect in this store. On more than one occasion, I’ve noticed some staff members being outright disrespectful to this kind young woman. One time, I was standing nearby when I heard a staff member raise their voice at her in a very unpleasant way. I could see she was trying hard not to break down. She just quietly said, “I don’t want to talk about it right now,” and walked away to help another customer like nothing happened. I honestly don’t know how she does it—with a smile still on her face. That’s real strength and professionalism.

It breaks my heart a little to see someone who is doing their very best, under so much pressure, not always get the respect they deserve—from both coworkers and customers. It’s sad to say, but some guests are not always polite either. Yet, this young lady treats everyone the same—with kindness and patience.

I’ve been around long enough to know when someone’s heart is in the right place, and hers surely is. Tim Hortons, if you’re reading this, please recognize the gem you have in her. She is the reason I’ve kept coming back here during one of the hardest times of my life. And while there are things that can be improved—mainly staff attitude and teamwork—I truly hope she gets the support she deserves.

Parking lot is often busy and a little awkward to navigate, especially when the semi-truck rolls in for food delivery.”

“One of the cleanest washrooms I’ve ever seen in a restaurant, which immediately stood out. The milky broths are rich, fragrant, and very comforting. I especially loved the coconut milk broth. The desserts were also great, and it was a nice surprise to see matcha ice cream on tap. They’ve now switched to an all-you-can-eat format instead of ordering items separately like before, which makes the experience even better. Overall, great food, great value, and a very enjoyable meal with lots of options”

“Never thought to pay a visit here but was looking for a local greasy spoon to support - came here for breakfast and noticed that a lot of line men and construction crew come here so you know you’re in for some good value and decent food. I was shocked to know that I was able to order wings so early in the morning but decided to be that person and try something new while sharing a breakfast platter. Food was fresh, made to order and service was fast and friendly. Happy to know that they are open on the weekends so there’s more opportunities for me to swing on by to support a small local business”

“This is my mother-in-law's favorite fried chicken place. It's less oily than other fried chicken brands and the fries are also delicious. The only thing was that the last time we came here, if we wanted to buy more Chicken, we had to wait about 20 mins, which beats the purpose of being fast food.”

“Pho Metro is one of those places I keep coming back to because everything is consistently good. Parking is generally easy, and service is friendly every time. The owner remembers guests by name, which makes the place feel very homey and welcoming. The menu is classic Vietnamese food with a good variety.

I always order their deep fried spring rolls and fresh rolls with grilled meat, chicken is my favorite. Their pho broth and noodles are delicious, and I usually rotate between the large spring rolls, pho, bun bo hue, and vermicelli bowls depending on what I’m craving. They also have a great Thai Iced tea! Everything is flavorful, filling, and very consistent from visit to visit.

I’d definitely recommend this spot and I’ll continue coming back. It’s a great place for a satisfying, comforting meal that you can always count on.”

“My go to place for crepe cakes. The taro purple rice was unique and we really enjoyed it. Felt like a fusion Chinese dessert in a cake format. The only downside is where the shop is located. If it’s your first time coming here it’s quite challenging to find. The entrance is in the parking lot and you can’t access it on the outside.”

We had a new server serving us and knowingly incorrectly charges us Bibek or Bivek his name, when i even pointed out to him, still had to come back three times to get it right. Made it really an unpleasant experience after dinner. Regardless I still left a tip which I felt he didn't deserve, but other people also helped with our table so I wasn't sure if it was shared and don't want to put the blame on your other staff. She clearly explained the options between sale pricing and the referral program, which is an amazing incentive for both the new purchaser and the referrer.

Theo, the manager, was also instrumental in making this such a great overall experience. This location is now my favourite and a must-go for anyone considering a Nespresso purchase.”

Bearing in mind is so difficult to find Pecking duck in Canada (even Chinese people in supermarkets do not know here what this is, while in the UK you find it not only in restaurants but in chain of big supermarkets too) we decided to access this place, located on the second floor and have the duck:\n- very friendly servers from China with basic English yet way friendlier than many older Chinese servers I came across in other restaurants; they are a true credit to this place as they were paying attention to when we needed little things\n- this restaurant is more upmarket than the other places in Byward market and I am so sorry I messed up their white table cloth with the sauce\n- the duck was great but what a pity the pancakes were thicker than usual and also placed in folded squares which made it very difficult to unfold and even our server could not do it \n- the place was empty as we arrived but 2 more tables got later occupied and we liked this quiet ambiance as we were positioned near the fireplace and window noticing the Beaver's tail across the road for our dessert we love so much!!!”

“Really awesome place! Haven't seen a menu that offers this type of variety of Korean food (and we're always on the lookout for good Korean). Only suggestion is to make the 보쌈 a little less sweet. Understand it's catering to the western palette, but a little less and I think people would still appreciate the authenticity of the dish. Definitely going to be one of our go to's.”

I love how unique the menu is compared to other sushi buffets I’ve had (i.e. tuna tartare, duck confit, foie gras).

The sushi and sashimi tasted fresh and there was a wide variety.

There were also many desserts to choose from. I recommend the mango pomelo sago.”

Somehow the staff got my order mixed up and they remade another one. And when it came to payment it was 47$, I gave 60$ (for tip and the other bowl they made wrong) but they said it was too much and only took what they thought fair ❤️ I really appreciate their honesty & superb customer service.

The vibe of this restaurant is cozy and there is a self served section. Their fish bowl is cooked to just right. I personally liked their fried items. I can tell the oil is fresh. You can taste it in the food.
