The experience was worth mentioning as the Desi Bar & Grill's Interior was quite impressive, with the relaxed feeling of an entertaining restaurant with the food, bar service, and server courtesy. It deserves a stars (*****) rating except for one suggestion. It is nice to hear the ever-green Indian Songs except for the loudness associated with the noise this created necessitating keeping it low will be dignified and relaxing for distinguished visitors to engage in audible mutual conversation rather than put restraint and blockage by loud music. Running of soft Indian 'Gazals' will add to the environment apart from Punjabi/Hindi songs.”

“i’m not a big fan of Thai food, but this restaurant caugh me and I will keep going back. The service is excellent and even though there was a slightly longer wait time, that’s essentially telling of how good the food is, that people are willing to wait…but then it’s also a small restaurant. The staff are friendly and attentive.
Now, let’s talk about the FOOD! The food is the highlight of my entire week. Everything was flavorful and done just right. I had zero complaints or disappointments of any kind, where the food was concerned. The cocktails are very pretty to look at, but the alcohol to me was not strong enough for the cocktail… But I guess this is just because of personal preference.
The PRICE was less than I thought it would be. My main course, one cocktail and appetizer came to $69 before tip.
The restaurant is very loud. My friends and I were shouting at each other throughout the meal because everybody’s shouting nearby so it’s hard to hear. The decor and atmosphere in the restaurant are not appealing to the aesthetic senses, but the restaurant is clean. I would recommend this for dinner with friends or family on our regular evenings out, but not for special occasions or dating.
I will definitely be going back to this restaurant.”

“The high Google rating is absolutely deserved. This modest hole in the wall restaurant delivers absolutely delicious noodle soup. The pork and pickled vegetable cut noodle soup is perfect. It pops with pickle and fresh cilantro flavour and the noodles and soft and luxurious. The cucumber salad also is perfectly balanced with salt, garlic and sour flavours. I’ll be back!”

Don't have photos of everything I ate, but I recommend the wagyu tataki, any of the nigiri (incredibly fresh so no fishy smell), the maki rolls and of course, the waygu sukiyaki!
The overall quality was impressive. Prices lean on the higher side, but it is quite reasonable given the variety of wagyu options available. Service was excellent and staff was friendly and attentive. Perfect for a celebration meal or a casual fancy meal. Definitely will be returning soon!”

“Arguably the best steak I've ever had in my life. And I’ve been to several upscale steakhouses where the bill was bigger than my bi-weekly paycheque for a party of 4 (fortunately, I didn’t have to foot the bill).

Ruth's is a bit pricier than The Keg, but the quality of the steak justifies the cost.

“I’ve been coming to this Tim Hortons almost every day for over a month now, as my husband has been in the hospital. Being here for so long, you start to notice things—good and bad—and I felt it was time I finally left a review.

First, I want to talk about the young lady who seems to be either a manager or supervisor. She’s tall and always moving around, helping in every corner of the store—taking orders, running food, checking on the staff, even wiping tables when no one else is looking. She carries herself with a quiet grace and patience that truly touched my heart.

One day, when I was feeling overwhelmed and tired, she smiled gently at me and took the time to explain my order clearly when I was a bit confused. She didn’t rush me, and I could feel genuine kindness from her—something you don’t always get in busy places like this. I never got the chance to thank her properly, but if she’s reading this: thank you for your warmth, especially during a hard time in my life.

However, not everything is perfect in this store. On more than one occasion, I’ve noticed some staff members being outright disrespectful to this kind young woman. One time, I was standing nearby when I heard a staff member raise their voice at her in a very unpleasant way. I could see she was trying hard not to break down. She just quietly said, “I don’t want to talk about it right now,” and walked away to help another customer like nothing happened. I honestly don’t know how she does it—with a smile still on her face. That’s real strength and professionalism.

It breaks my heart a little to see someone who is doing their very best, under so much pressure, not always get the respect they deserve—from both coworkers and customers. It’s sad to say, but some guests are not always polite either. Yet, this young lady treats everyone the same—with kindness and patience.

I’ve been around long enough to know when someone’s heart is in the right place, and hers surely is. Tim Hortons, if you’re reading this, please recognize the gem you have in her. She is the reason I’ve kept coming back here during one of the hardest times of my life. And while there are things that can be improved—mainly staff attitude and teamwork—I truly hope she gets the support she deserves.

“I visited this location regularly. This morning I was with 2 of my friends having breakfast and coffee there. We were very disturbed because the cleaning lady came around mopped the floor around us. The smell of cleaning detergent was not pleasant at all while we were eating. After that the lady even came to our table to clean the table while we were still having our coffees. We found it very disturbing, hopefully the management staffs will do something to improve the situation.”

It ended up costing $10.84 in total, which is a bit on the pricier side, but the drink itself was smooth, refreshing, and really well made. Overall, a great experience but just be prepared to pay a little extra for upgrades.”

The flavors were amazing! We returned on a Thursday to try the beef. We were told that beef was only available Thursday and Friday and man was it worth the trip back. It turns out that the gentleman that was serving us was also the owner. His pride and talents in cooking his native flavors will blow your mind. Give this place a try anytime you’re in the area.”

“This location was opened in 2018 and has been a huge hit in the community. The only downside is that their parking area is a little small. Many just go through the drive through for ice cream treats but even that lineup spills out onto the street. If you do plan on going into the store, be aware that if you plan on parking here, the spaces are very limited and a little challenging to get into. There is some seating inside and outside but it is limited so don't except a sit-down table to enjoy your treats. This location also carries more than just ice cream! They also also sell Kawartha Dairy milk, cheese curds, butter, and even ice cream cakes. If your here for the ice cream, each Kawartha Dairy ice cream flavor is a very rich and creamy treat, well worth the money. They have a wide selection of flavours. If you like chocolate, I highly recommend their Death by Chocolate flavour. But, their Butterscotch Ripple is also the best you'll find! They typically have 25-30 ice cream flavors available.

It's safe to say that you won't be disappointed by their consistently outstanding product offerings!”

“Ate here for two days in a row. My son likes the sauce-flavored buns the most, my daughter likes the classic beef noodles the best, and I like the fried buns with fresh meat the best. “I used to work nearby (Warden & Highway 7) and once I learned there was a specialty coffee nearby I made the effort to walk here each lunch I was in the office.

I can say briefly, the coffee is excellent and this is emphasized by the fact they rotate out espresso brews regularly and offer diverse and flavourful pour over service. I did not know there were shops in Toronto that sold Tim Wendelboe (Norway) or Manhattan Coffee Roasters (The Netherlands) or Coffee Collective (Denmark) and many many more.

The baristas are friendly and helpful and know what they are doing. Any request for adjustments to the brew is easily done if you ask politely, in my case, adding very little dairy/milk to certain drinks.

On top of that the shop also offers some small batch wines and doubles as a flower shop.

It's a shame I no longer work in the area but I will say I will be making the trip out there to enjoy the coffee and get more beans for my home brewing that I'd otherwise need to order online and at further cost. Highly recommended.”

The experience was worth mentioning as the Desi Bar & Grill's Interior was quite impressive, with the relaxed feeling of an entertaining restaurant with the food, bar service, and server courtesy. It deserves a stars (*****) rating except for one suggestion. It is nice to hear the ever-green Indian Songs except for the loudness associated with the noise this created necessitating keeping it low will be dignified and relaxing for distinguished visitors to engage in audible mutual conversation rather than put restraint and blockage by loud music. Running of soft Indian 'Gazals' will add to the environment apart from Punjabi/Hindi songs.”

“Stopped by here on a road trip and had an inkling for some chicken. What was only supposed to be a snack turned into everyone wanting full meals of every kind! Chicken was very crispy and the tenders were pretty awesome!! Oh and the onion rings… my fav - I crave onion rings every road trip and get generally disappointed, but I enjoyed these. Staff was super friendly and accommodating. Churros were a nice touch.”
