“Had a late lunch here on Saturday. It was my first time and I loved it. We arrived around 2pm. Lots of free parking available. We received a friendly greeting and directed to an open table. Every table had a little tablet to order from. You can also request other items. Each table has drawers with cutlery and napkins. We ordered Kim's JJamppong and a new item (white JJamppong). The first is spice and had a deepr flavour from the pork. The second is brimming with smoky flavour. Both are great! And of course the noodles 🍜 are a huge highlight. We also ordered sweet and sour pork. Very unique and tasty. All dishes are great value. Loved the service and the kpop. Would love to come again.“

“The food here was really good. If you've ever been to one of their other locations you know you're getting a big, tasty plate of fried chicken and it will be good. My one comaint with this location is that they don't seem to believe in heating their location! It was so cold inside.“

“This place is a real gem. It feels like it’s run by a husband-and-wife team, and you can tell there’s a lot of care put into everything. The overall experience is always satisfying, and the jokbal is genuinely really good—tender, flavorful, and consistently well-prepared.

The only minor downside is that parking can be a bit inconvenient, depending on the time you go. But honestly, it’s still worth it, and I find myself coming back often.

If you’re craving solid jokbal with a warm, local vibe, this spot is an easy recommendation.“

“The price is pretty good for the portion and it takes gooood!! I ordered more than $50 and they gave me a big plate of pork tangsuyuk. That plate is just half we ate already and I wanted to post a review. We couldn’t finish everything lol I felt bad so I left a review. But I did take some food home!“

“I always love to eat at woojoo bunsik, first time came to this location though. It’s pretty small branch, so if you have more than 4 people, it would be difficult to find a table. We got the new bulgogi chicken bokki as my friend can’t eat spicy, we love it! Such a great combination since we always eat tteokbokki with the original sauce or other spicy sauces. And of course, we got the spicy mayo salmon rice ball, super yummy. And last one, we ordered unagi tofu pocket. I loved all of the food!! Basically 10 out of 10, it’s just my problem it was so cold there but obv would come back here“

Got the koryo samgyetang and it was perfection, i liked the fact that the broth comes entirely unseasoned yet full of flavor, they give you salt and paper mixture to add as you wish. “The quality was unbelievable considering it was a restaurant inside a supermarket. I ordered takeout because I was afraid there would be leftovers, but the packaging wasn't made of Styrofoam, so I just took it home and ate it. There are still a lot of Styrofoam containers, but the packaging was really good. The Jjamppong was just as delicious as it was at a specialty Chinese restaurant. Bibimbap is ordinary. The batter for sweet and sour pork is too hard. It looks perfect in the picture, but when you bite into it, it's so hard that the roof of your mouth cracks, and even when you open it after eating some seaweed from takeout, it's still hard. The sweet and sour pork sauce is very disappointing. I think it would be even better if you paid a little more attention to it. So, even though I used glutinous rice, the batter was not chewy and was rough. It seems like I mixed in too much glutinous rice rather than starch. Anyway, the meat was tender. If the sauce is good, it would be really great.“

“I received stone rice cake (3 types) from a friend today. I found out why I asked what time the pickup would be when I placed my order. The rice cake was warm and delicious, as if it had been made and delivered on time. They beautifully engraved the words 'First Birthday' on the rice cake cake for free, and there were plenty of songpyeon and sorghum red bean rice cakes. I was moved. thank you The price was also better than other places. I highly recommend it?“

“Cute Korean restaurant about 3-5 min walk from Finch Subway station. Tip: exit through the passenger pickup area of Finch station if you're walking, that's the closest exit to the restaurant. I came here specifically to try their Ganjang Gejang (raw blue crab marinated in soy sauce), it seems that they might be the only restaurant that serves this dish in Toronto, that I could find and know of. There is a very slight fishy smell when I sniffed it, which is expected since it's raw crab, but when I was eating it, I didn't find it fishy at all, it was really delicious. The crab roe was soft and rich, the meat was smooth and fresh, everything went really well with the rice. I can see why this dish is called a rice thief now. I was really tempted to order another bowl of rice but on account of my diet I stopped myself. I would definitely try this dish again. I also ordered the kimchi stew and my friend got a spicy beef soup. Although it was not as outstanding as the Ganjang Gejang, Both were delicious and portions were good. The side dishes were good as well. Not sure if there's free refills or not since we didn't ask for any. The service was good, it's a smaller shop, seems like it's family owned. People were doing multi jobs so if you wanted more tea or something you have to ask them, they do really try to check up you though and would walk around once in awhile to refill your tea and see how you're doing. Overall a good dining experience, I would come back to try their raw crab. However if I was just going out for Korean food then I may not specifically go out of my way to come here since although the other dishes were good, it's not super outstanding. Aside from indoor dining they also have outdoor dining, there's a big white tent outside, they provides pretty good shelter, there's also hanging lights out there, really cute set up. We dined inside though since it was windy.“

“My friend is a big fan of Apkujung Restaurant and I finally had the chance to stop by on his recommendation! If you're looking for an authentic Korean meal that feels home-cooked, this is a great spot to check out.

Located on Yonge Street just south of Steeles, there is plenty of parking available at Centerpoint Mall and then you just have to cross the street.

What we got:
- Ginseng Chicken Soup with Noodles and Congee
- Galbi Jjim (Korean Braised Short Ribs)
- Grilled Mackerel

Final Thoughts:
The Ginseng Chicken was nothing mind-blowing in terms of flavour, but it was incredibly comforting and hearty. The pot is served tableside and the staff help you cook each course starting with the poached chicken, noodle soup, and finally turning leftover soup into congee.

The Galbi Jjim is my must-order dish! The short ribs are super tender, and the sauce is delicious. It may be a tad sweet, depending on your taste, but this was great with rice.

Overall, I find the prices a bit on the pricey side but they come with a larger portion and I always leave full. I'd want to bring my parents here or return with a large group to try more dishes.“

“In my opinion, one of the best Korean restaurants in town is this place. They have fresh gobchang and makchang that you should try at least once. Plus, since it’s a family-run business, the customer service is just warm and perfect.

The pancake and cold noodles are another must-try.“

“Just tried out this restaurant for a quick bite. I had the squid fried rice which came with a small bowl of black bean sauce and a small bowl of a red seafood soup. The fried rice was really good! And the black bean sauce was not too salty which was good. It also taste good.

The restaurant looked clean and spacious. It’s not fancy but neat & tidy.

My husband and son had the chicken katsu which came with a large portion of rice and some salad. They also liked their food.“

“We almost didn’t go in because of its 3.7 rating which we just checked last minute but the pork bone soup and the kalbi are actually good with unlimited banchans. You could also select the spice level of the gamjatang which is great.
