“Food/sauce is very flavorful, atmosphere is great and you can watch him making the noodles. What’s not to like?? Oh yeah and the cat robot that delivered our appetizers was awesome! We’re here at noon on a Monday and I can’t believe this place isn’t packed; with this delicious food it should be. We’re on vacation but I wish they had one in Charleston! Two thumbs way up!!“

“The crabs were absolutely delicious with just the right amount of crunch and packed with a good kick of spiciness. The seafood lover pot consists of a variety of seafoods such as clams, squids, and some massive prawns. A delightful combination, that is great to eat with friends for a social outing.“

“We ordered 4 dishes. Fantastic value for money with generous portions. Sesame beef was definitely my favorite. The beef was soft and well flavored. The nasi goreng was surprisingly tasty. The ho fun noodles required more sauce but was tasty as well. Dai dop voy was a bit bland for my taste so I’ll order a better chicken dish next time. The ingredients are very fresh as well and the shrimp in both our dishes were huge!
Overall this place would definitely be one of my go-tos.
Their prices are unbeatable and the owner mentioned they haven’t increased the price in 5 years. It’s getting tough out there so please support them! Hope they don’t go out of business.
p.s. there’s no dine in for now“

“Great hidden AYCE hotpot place.
Tons of options at reasonable prices. Crab and lobster aren't fresh, but you're boiling them anyways.
Like how they include a free drink with your meal
Tomato and pork bone soup bases were our default choices and worked out great with the meats available“

“Food 5/5
Service 5/5
Vibe 5/5
New Restaurant on pharmacy and mcnicoll in scarborough/toronto. I think the store originally was a boardgame store in a different unit but now just a restaurant.
They specialize in hubei/hunan food 湖北菜 so its more spicy and fatty but super flavorful.
Overall i think everything taste great, it is slightly more oily, but just a little dab dab and its all good.
Highly recommend their chicken feet, pepper with pork 小炒肉 and stir fried beef 小炒黄牛肉! And if you like picked food, their picked bean with minced pork is also 5/5 酸豆角炒肉沫🤤“

“We are delighted to discover this authentic Chinese snacks and dumplings place in Scarborough today. We especially enjoyed their dumplings, wontons and cucumber salad. The restaurant is tiny and very clean. The nice couple who owns this place is friendly. The husband/chef has decades of experience under his belt cooking Lu cuisine (One of the Four Great Traditions of Chinese cuisines) in Shandong Province of China.“

“Their Liangpi slaps so hard. Great bounce on the noodles, chewy, and the ingredients and sauce all taste so fresh. They're usually prepped in advance, so it's quick and easy to drop in and grab some. The roujiamo takes some time to prep, but well worth the shirt wait.
Staff is also always so friendly.“

“I have been going to this restaurant for over 20 yrs... I remember those days when tooney tuesday was a new thing!. High school lunch was always spent hanging out there.
The prices may have changed but compared to the cost of everything today..... You bet you get great value for your dollar!. My favorite part is that there are no peas and carrots in any daily special. RICE AND MEAT. DONT FORGET THE SAUCE! LOL
2 decades later... I take my daughter, and she will even request Brown Rice for dinner!. (shes 4) I know what she wants.
go too's are number 1, 2 and 7.
For something different, I go with the Cantonese Style Chow Mein.
You got to try this place they are more than than a full belly they are a staple to Scarborough.“

“Seems like a family run restaurant. Interior design can use some work, but I could care less because the food trumped it. They speak Mandarin and English, and provide a Chinese and not so good translated English menu, to which the owner admitted the translation was bad. She was very nice and offered help if needed for ordering anything as my partner and I can't read or speak Mandarin. Regardless, we managed to order what we wanted and I was pleasantly surprised.
We ordered the following: stir fry cumin lamb, pork Tang's burger, spicy cold noodle salad, lamb skewers, and biang biang noodles (has lamb and bok choy).
I expected the food to be as salty as it looks, but no. Everything, especially the deadly looking biang biang noodles, was wonderfully balanced in spicy and salt. The noodles are hand pulled, bouncy, chewy and is the best I've had. Lamb in all the dishes was well seasoned. Their spicy chili oil condiment has good flavour and mildly spicy. Pork Tang's burger was very juicy, but the bread is on the thicker side to my liking. Nevertheless, delicious food all around. Recommended for sure.“

“Went here to grab some food after several days of passing by the store. Out of curiosity, I went and ordered general tao since I wanna start basic and see if it’s any good. Sirrr! I have no regrets! The food’s definitely good when you see an old store with high ratings! Will be back for more! 🫶🏻“

“Arrived slightly before 12PM with my girlfriend and managed to get our names first on the waitlist. Promptly after, it started getting packed with tons of people signing up for the waitlist. Was very surprised to see how busy it was on a Wednesday afternoon at opening.
We both went for the $26.99 AYCE lunch special. Soup bases are included in the price and you can choose up to 2 different bases. Items to choose from were a bit limited from a protein perspective, but we were more than happy to inhale beef brisket slices and seafood. Veggies and sides were great too. Ice cream cone at the end was great and the perfect way to end the meal. Wasn’t the biggest fan of the Hokkaido pudding.
Service was exceptional. Staff members were very attentive, consistently topping up our soup pots, pouring water for us, and getting our food orders. Seating time is limited to 1 hour and 45 minutes. Ample time in my opinion.
Overall, we really enjoyed our time at Daimaru. I highly recommend it, especially for their lunch special. We both ate for just under $60 including a tip!“

“My wife and I went out to Scarborough, and while we were there, we got hungry and stopped in for some Chinese food. We ordered the General Tso’s chicken and the Sweet and Sour chicken, and both dishes were absolutely amazing. The portion sizes were generous—more than enough to feed the two of us. Thank you!“

“Hidden gem of a restaurant. The prices of their noodles are reasonable and there are free noodle refills. It was a chance encounter as the restaurant was in a hidden corner of a large plaza, and we had originally planned to go elsewhere, before deciding to give this place a go. There’s also a 5% off cash discount. I will definitely be coming back to try other soup bases and proteins.“

“One of the OG BBQ spots in Scarborough.
Supper affordable, big portions and delicious!
Just look at all the roast duck they made for the day, still drooling thinking about it.
My fav is the crispy pork (medium fat) with cha siu (bbq pork).
Everything is made in perfection.
It is an older plaza, so dont expect anything fancy, but the flavors are still there 🤩“

“This place is hard to describe because it might sound like a paid ad. The atmosphere of this restaurant is like a cozy 90s Chinese restaurant that all locals would go to for their family events. The food is classic, with a heaping amount of ingredients (Seafood Fried Rice had more shrimps, pieces of scallops, and squid than 99% of Chinese restaurants in Scarborough), and the service is perfection. The main serving gentleman serves and greets everyone and radiates family restaurant hospitality energy that you see in the 90s movies. This is the first restaurant that I am returning to due to the service being so stellar.“

“Hole in the wall hidden gem for nofrills chinese food. Tucked away in a tiny plaza, ordered the mushroom efu noodles which was a bit plain but their salad fish and chicken fried rice was absolutely delicious!
With most items being under $10 its hard to find a better deal for classic Chinese dishes. Definitely going to go back to try more dishes!“

“I lived in Lanzhou and NW China for over a decade, I walked into this restaurant and my mouth was watering. The niu rou mian aka traditional Lanzhou noodle soup, was absolutely authentic. The boiled lamb also spot on (except the seasoning dip should have had some other things in it compared to what I was used to) complete with raw garlic. I'll be back to sample other dishes but I definitely recommend this place if you're looking for Lanzhou noodles.“

“Our experience at Street Momo was amazing!
I will start by giving a shoutout to our amazing amazing server. She was so attentive, helpful, and kind to us. She gave great recommendations since it was our first time, and they were totally incredible!
We had the jhol momi and the Thai Basil Noodle (recommended by our lovely server), which were both so so delicious.
The price was affordable, and the food was amazing. Would recommend this to my friends!“

“Yo, just rolled through Scarborough and lucked out finding Panda Wok-what a vibe! Got the beef and broccoli with rice, and wow, it was crazy fresh, served piping hot, and the portion was so generous I'm still full. Not from around here, but this spot's got me hooked. Gotta come back to level up with something fancy like their Chili Chicken or Manchurian. Total hidden gem!“

“Good food, don’t expect to have typical western restaurant customer service since this is an authentic Hong Kong/ Asia restaurant.

“Awesome restaurant in non-desceipt area. Gem of a find. All boiled dumplings were great. The fennel were particularly outstanding. Ordered beef and onion for something simple, and it was delicious and flavourful. Even my picky toddler are some. For the English menu, don't be deceived by the "with chili" description. Each dish uses chili but has a different flavour. We ordered the shrimp house special (absolutely outstanding and our favourit dish so far), shrimps-deep fried chili (shell on, I don't know how they did it but it's thin and flavourful and easy to eat it), spicy crawfish and sliced fish in hot chili oil. Highly recommend this restaurant.“

“This place has been one of our regular spots since 2015, and it never disappoints. It’s tucked inside a food court, so the vibe is pretty basic — no fancy seats or decor, just a casual, no-frills setup. But don’t let that put you off — the food here is the real deal.
We usually get the white cut chicken rice or soy sauce chicken rice. Both come in classic takeaway-style boxes and taste just like the dishes you’d find in Guangdong or Hong Kong. The portions are solid — enough to fill you up without breaking the bank. The soup that comes with it is kind of bland, but honestly, it’s not the main event.
The service is fast, even during the lunch rush, and the cashier is always friendly. It can get a bit hectic, but that’s part of the charm. Most of the crowd are middle-aged Chinese locals, which says a lot about how authentic the food is.
All in all, this spot offers great value and consistently tasty food. If you’re into Cantonese flavors and don’t mind a casual setting, this is absolutely worth checking out. We’ll definitely keep coming back.“

“I just ordered a combo today. It comes with noodles, vegetable, orange chicken and pepper chicken and I also added 2 pieces of fried salmon for only $18 after tax. It's my second order and I would say the serving's pretty good for the price. Food tasted so good specially the chicken. Even the broccoli was cooked so well. Kudos to the owners too, they are so welcoming and friendly.“

“Chai Kee has similar style as the previous Jim Chai Kee in Richmond hill. The difference is that this one is self served style with a famous speciality - pork liver noodle. Pork liver is something you cannot make it well and at Chai Kee, it is very well made. Their menu is somewhat specialized a beef, pork liver and fish ball (more like fresh fish paste) . They have nice noodles , deep fried fish skin and for some reason, they have condensed milk toast with milk tea. I have been there at least four times :) At the beginning , it was very crowded but now it is a nice busy pace. I love their pork liver and beef noodle . I also had fish ball and liver noodle too. What I liked about them: 1. Amazing price 2. Good food and the pork liver is amazing 3. Very clean 4. Nice service So I’d recommend chai Kee for a good wholesome noodle place For an amazing price“

“Chinese comfort food
Hidden in the corner but worth the find! The pan-fried pork buns are always freshly made, crispy at the bottom, juicy inside — comfort food at its best. “Went there for dinner over the weekend. It's a large restaurant and easy to get a table. The restaurant bills itself as a hot pot restaurant and that is what the four of us had. The hotpot ingredients were good. Not spectacular. In hindsight, a different soup base would have been better tasting. We had the kitchen stir fry the lobster for an extra cost and it was very well done, as was the clay pot rice dish that came with the set dinner. Also with the dinner was a plate of chicken wings and french fries which was very tasty with whole dried peppers in a Szechuan style stir fry style. All of us thought that the kitchen cooked food was very good and better than the hot pot. The exception may be the deep fried milk which was ok and was served too soon as we were still munching through our food. The raw eggs that several of us ordered too a bit long to arrive at the table. Other than that, the service was quite good. We all said that next time we go back, that we will only get the items from the kitchen as it was quite well done.“

10/10 recommend. This is hands down our go-to spot for Sichuan food in the GTA. We’ve tried most of the dishes on the menu over time and loved every single one. Everything is super flavorful and satisfying. Just a heads-up—it’s not shy with the spice!“
