“Great dinner at Mandarin Yonge to celebrate Mid Autumn Festival. This visit we tried a few new items fro the Small Eats. The teriyaki salmon, teriyaki meatballs and tofu were delicious. Salmon was cooked to perfection. As always Paddy and our server Amy made our evening extra special. Looking forward to our next visit.“

“i CANNOT PRAISE SUNNYS CHINESE ENOUGH. the food? INCREDIBLE, 5 STARS. the ambiance and interior? SO classy yet vibey and chill, 5 STARS. the service? A BAJILLION THOUSAND MILLION STARS — i have never felt so comfortable and happy and cared for 🙃 the servers were super friendly, personal, and well-versed with everything on the menu; the amuse bouche for solo diners seems like a small detail but made me feel so special; and my server even offered me hot water/tea after my meal to digest 🙂🙃🙂🙃
the black sesame french toast and soft serve combination was LETHAL, probably one of the best desserts i’ve EVER had. not only were the edges super crunchy but OH MY GOD THE WARM LAYERS of gooey, rich black sesame jam — infused with an indulgent sweetness from the oolong and soaked condensed milk — were actually divine. i was torn between wanting to scarf down the entire thing in 10 seconds while it was warm , but also wanting to savour every. single. bite. of this heavenly dessert. the french toast was impeccable on its own, but the soft serve was also phenomenal and added an entirely new dimension. it was so smooth and so creamy, and the jasmine flavour was so unique and refreshing — i could actually feel like a coolness / breeze linger in my throat after eating it !?!?!? it was such a great contrast to the decadent layers of black sesame jam.
the dan dan noodles were INCREDIBLE . the consistency was ridiculously creamy and saucy — almost buttery — and the oil coated the perfectly cooked, soft noodle immaculately. it was steaming, spicy, and hot (like numbingly so), but also still so flavourful and addicting.
the charred cabbage (also super spicy) paired well too — the salty chili crisp was my favourite part (especially added onto the dan dan noodles) as the light saltiness was a perfect contrast against the spiciness of the everything else. along with the heat, there was also a hint of sourness, a bit of sweetness from the cabbage, and a strong fragrance.“

“We have ordered for years but unfortunately I am never able to order on line. I have repeatedly tried but once I get to submit my order it will not allow. I live very close to the Parliament Street outlet. I have accumulated loyalty points but ever since they moved to Calibre I have not been able to order on line. Please, can someone let me know how to fix this clich. When I phone to place my order the staff say they will take my concern to the owner but nothing ever happens. I am very frustrated!!“

“Authentic northern Chinese BBQ Skewers with just enough spices. Must have: clams, tendons, lamb skewers and Chinese bread (BBQed)
The service is very fast. We got everything we think a minute after we ordered.
I'm pleased with the environment being near university of Toronto, great number of Asian population.
This is a place that you have to try if you enjoy real Northern Chinese street food.“

“Super delicious and warm noodles! The broth was very flavourful although it wasn’t as spicy as I anticipated. But they also provided sauces and chili that you can add yourself. The noodles were great but the meat could’ve had a bit more flavour. Overall a really great experience!“

“Food/sauce is very flavorful, atmosphere is great and you can watch him making the noodles. What’s not to like?? Oh yeah and the cat robot that delivered our appetizers was awesome! We’re here at noon on a Monday and I can’t believe this place isn’t packed; with this delicious food it should be. We’re on vacation but I wish they had one in Charleston! Two thumbs way up!!“

“My favourite Chinese spot for cheap eats! Everything on the menu is super affordable and EXTREMELY YUMMY. My favourites are definitely the pan-fried pork dumplings, the spicy popcorn chicken, the bean sprouts fried noodles, and the fried milk.

“I really liked these short ribs, kept ordering them over and over. I also like the atmosphere/environment and service/staff, and above all I liked that they offer the option for tables with individual pots instead of a shared pot, I think this place overall is the best hot pot place (I prefer it over bottom-sea-catch)“

“An authentic Szechuan experience. The dishes are rich in flavor, beautifully balanced between heat, aroma, and depth — exactly what real Sichuan cuisine should deliver. The broth bowls are comfort and craftsmanship in one: layered, spicy, and genuinely satisfying. The atmosphere feels like a hidden gem for those who appreciate real regional cooking. A perfect place for anyone seeking true, specialty Szechuan flavors.“

“It was a very delicious experience! My friends and I had a really great time there. All the food was really good. I especially liked the opportunity to mix and match some sauces myself. I would recommend it to others, I will most likely come back sometime.“
“The food here was excellent and really exceeded expectations. The stir-fried cabbage with glass noodles was light and flavorful, the stew was rich and comforting with tender meat and tofu, and the braised tofu was packed with flavor. Rice served in a wooden bucket was fragrant and paired perfectly with the dishes. Portions were generous, prices reasonable, and the service warm and attentive. Overall, it’s a cozy spot with authentic flavors and great value—I’ll definitely be coming back.“

“I ordered the tomato and egg sliced noodles, the broth had such a rich, comforting flavour, and the noodles had that perfect chewy texture. I also ordered the shredded potato and the sesame pancake with egg; both were delicious.
Every dish is very homemade and full of care. I literally saw the man make them noodles from scratch. Also the prices here are not inflated. Will continue to come here.“

“Food was good- very well packed for takeout. BEWARE- there are 3 noodle me locations- each with the items numbered differently on their menu !! (Why??) the Toronto location is inexplicably called just “downtown “- well, the Hamilton location is also “downtown “. Leads to unnecessary confusion and incorrect orders. Make sure you are ordering the menu called “Hamilon “ or you will not get the correct order! ( ask me how I know…..)“

“It was out first time. Based on our preferences the waitress helped us choose 2 dishes. After spring rolls, and chicken chow mien and rice we had eaten enough. The waitress smiled and said she had not put the order in for the second dish until we had finished the first. The plate of food was delicious and our meal came quick even though they were busy. The total bill with a 25% tip was only $27!
P.s They accommodate a wheelchair.“

“Went in at 10pm when they were almost closing, so I was the last customer to be served. The noodles were chewy and absorbed all the delicious flavour from the savoury broth. Ingredients still tasted very fresh and complimented each other well. The individual booths make a cozy and chill atmosphere.
The server was in rush and forgot to bring me water, so they compensated by giving me a free coke when my meal was done. I appreciate the good customer service! I’ll come back again in the winter for a warm bowl of noodle soup.“

“The food here is always so delicious and the service is friendly! If you’re looking for authentic Hong Kong cafe food, this place is it!
Sadly I always devour all of the food before I get to take a photo, but make sure that you go up the stairs for this one as it’s a bit hard to find.“

“This is my 3rd time dining in this beef hotpot restaurant. I also take my friends and colleagues here, and they all like the food. The beef is extremely fresh and the price is quite reasonable. I recommend the rib eye/sirloin and chunk slices. Their beef fried rice is always mouth-watering. 2-3 people is the ideal group size for this restaurant. I highly recommend it.“

“Had an amazing experience at Qin's Garden. Authentic chinese food that was so delicious with each and every bite. From their juicy soup dumplings and buns to their tender beef ribs made from a 260-year old recipe, this place is the spot. Owner was so kind and sweet not just with us, but with all the customer which we love to see. Interior is warm and welcoming and truly added to our experience.“

“Busy spot with a bit of a wait if you go at peak times. Meat skewer portions are on the smaller side, most interesting dish to try is the sweet and sour pork. It’s not like the westernized version and is more sweet and crispy with larger pieces.
Most things are spicy but you can adjust spice level. There’s a 10% cash discount so pay with cash.“

“Why this place is not posted more on social media and review sites baffles me. The dumplings here are to die for, tastes much like the ones I had back in china. I haven’t tried much of the others dishes but I can vouch for their baos and dumpling.“

“I ordered Veg Chowmein, Chicken 65, and Chili Paneer from Wong’s Asian Cuisine, and honestly, this might be the most authentic Indo-Chinese food I’ve had in Scarborough.
The Veg Chowmein was flavorful without being greasy, perfectly balanced with fresh veggies and just the right amount of seasoning. The Chicken 65 had that classic South Indian kick crispy, spicy, and full of flavor. The real standout for me was the Chili Paneer soft paneer with a bold, tangy, and spicy sauce that tasted exactly like the authentic Indo-Chinese you’d find back home.
Overall, the food was fresh, portions were generous, and the flavors were on point. If you’re looking for proper Indo Chinese in Scarborough, Wong’s is definitely worth it“
“The green peppercorn soup was very flavorful, though a bit salty for my personal taste. I was impressed by how fresh all the ingredients and dipping sauces were.
One small suggestion: I would recommend serving the rice with the soup instead of bringing it out at the very beginning. My rice arrived a good 10 minutes before my malatang bowl, so it had already cooled down by the time I was ready to eat.“

“The food was delicious the service excellent, they made sure that was no gluten in the food as one of the meals was all meat but the sauce had flour, the called me on uber and confirmed before making the food. The food is of the best hakka we have had. The chicken was lightly dusted, mostly places we order from the chicken has more dough than meat. This place is a gem.“

“Came here for dumplings and malatang soup, and they did not disappoint. They've changed the name and the sign, so it was a bit confusing heading in. The dumplings were decent, and I had a large selection of veggies to choose from for the soup. There is of course every other item you'd want to put into a hotspot, but I was happy with my vegetarian selection. I would definitely come back.
Vegetarian options: Large selection of veggies, tofu-based items, and soybean-based items.“

“The place is a bit small, but still comfortable enough. Their main specialty is dumplings, but you can also find soups, noodles, and appetizers on the menu. I really liked that they offer fried dumplings and fried noodles with chicken and vegetables — both were tasty.
It was a bit strange that the waitress said the dishes would be too much for two people, but we managed just fine. At the end of the meal, they give you a fortune cookie, which is a nice touch.
As many other reviews mention, dumplings are their signature dish. The only odd thing was that they turned on the air conditioner at the end of the day, even though it was cold outside.“

“We always have an amazing time at any Haidilao’s restaurant. The staff are very warm and well trained. The ambience and the food is always fresh. The hand stretch noodles, the beef tallow with Sichuan peppercorns hot pot, mushroom based hot pot all were amazing. They top it up periodically. The meat was fresh and delicious so were there drinks. They also take care of any allergies that you may have. Definitely recommended.“
