“Upscale, authentic Indonesian restaurant in the heart of downtown Ashland.

I ordered the rendang, sate’ ayam, and the house made sambal. It was all amazing. The rendang (the chef’s most iconic dish) was unique, super moist and tender in texture, the meat soaked up all the curry flavors which gave it incredible flavor. The vegetables and rice paired nicely with it. Sate’ ayam was some of the best I’ve had. Nice char marks on the chicken and skewer. Peanut sauce was delicious, not too sweet with real ingredients. The small side of house made sambal may have stole the show and paired great with the other items. It has a nice spice level and great flavor, almost smoky. The worker told me they get the chiles shipped straight from Indonesia to make it on house.

Vibe is upscale and authentic. Modern and traditional Indonesian decor on walls. Large bar in front of the restaurant and covey dining area in the back with comfy cushioned seats and pillows, and the best part was the open kitchen where you can watch the chefs at work. Customer service was excellent, very kind and food came out fresh and quickly.“

“We stopped in today and tried the Chocolate truffle and Tayberry ice cream on a cone. I also picked up a creme puff as it looked delicious. I was overwhelmed by every item. The highest of quality, the best of taste, and excellent service from cute & friendly servers. I live in Merlin, but we will definitely be back to try more exciting and creative flavors. There was a short line, but I see why and it was absolutely worth the wait. what an absolute gem this place is.“

“This is my favorite ice cream shop anywhere hands down. Delicious ice cream, so many choices, great portions, and great service. I was helped by a very kind young man last week. I believe his name is Merlin. I wanted to try many flavors and he served me with a smile and great attitude the entire time! All the young servers there are great, but Merlin is one of my favorites! “Delightful experience. Excellent sushi, delicious ramen, and home made kimchi was delicious! Keep in mind though that Google shows incorrect time, we came thinking it is open whole day, but in fact they have break from 2:30pm to 5 pm. It didn't stop them from serving us though and even prepare sushi to go during their own lunch! Incredible hospitality! ... Cat robot is kawaii!“

“We walked in after having to make a quick pivot from our downtown dinner reservation due to the power outage. Joseph greeted us warmly and took us in as “refugees” and sat us at a great little table inside with a view of the garden. Perfect! Joseph was super-attentive all evening long. The craft cocktails were excellent, as was our food. We shared greens and vegetables salad; my wife had the halibut special on an incredible peach romanescu sauce with the crispiest, lightest potatoes ever made. I had a delicious plate of hand cut sourdough pasta. Our dessert was an Egyptian cake that was a miracle of textures and flavors. Thank you Joseph, chef, bartender and the entire staff for a perfect Ashland experience.“

“A great little shop with excellent bagels, cream cheese, and numerous toppings including many veggies and a gluten free bagel. There are several different drinks, water, and coffee on offer as well. Hours are from 7 am to 2 pm so they are limited, but it is definitely worth a (or several) visits.
The people behind the counter are friendly and seem to enjoy their job. Lots of Grateful Dead posters are on display. Come check out Jerry.“

“Ordered the much hyped pastrami zombie. Very good sandwich. Crunchy lightly toasted bread wrapping smoky, flavorful pastrami and coleslaw that must all the homemade. The sandwich was small, in a world of oversized stuffed sammiches. Tasty, but a bit reserved.“

“We stayed at the hotel so we came here often. Usually so the kids can have desserts, and the wife and i can have drinks while we play board games. Got diner here one night after a late outing. It was OK, served its purpose. Decently priced. The staff was very friendly. Let us hang out and finish our games even after they've closed up.“
