“Today my daughter and I enjoyed the most delicious lunch at One 13 Social in downtown Carlisle. Small plates are elegant and perfect for lunch. Mine was Spoonbread Shrimp, extraordinarily creative flavors : salty olive tapanade, savory grilled shrimp, and sweet cornbread with honey butter. New to their terrific menu, hope it stays!! I tip my hat to the chef.”

“Hazy Galaxy is the best beer in Carlisle! The food is limited but there is something for everyone. I suggest the porky cheese it and the blind bonnie!”

“We travel from South Jersey to Pittsburgh often. 1794 is our half way spot. We stay overnight so we can indulge on everything they have to offer. I think we've had everything on the food menu. We really don't have a favorite, as everything is delicious. We always start with a double old fashion and are slowly working our way through the scotch and whiskey menu. Wonderful restaurant!!”

“My high school class had a 50th year reunion event in September at Fiddlers and they did a fantastic job!! We were to be in the pavilion; however, rainy weather forced us indoors. Jennifer, the restaurant manager, went above and beyond to accommodate our large group in one of the banquet rooms and ensured that we were provided the best service possible. The food was awesome and the servers were superb!! Everyone had a great time!! Thank you for all you did to make our reunion a success!! We will be back!!”

“This place could be so much better if they would get new chairs (they’re all coming apart and wobbly) - the staff is not that friendly - the atmosphere is nothing desirable - the food is good (not great) - it’s dirty esp in the bathrooms - the sink in the ladies room is falling apart and the faucets are coming out of the vanity - I asked for an extra napkin and she brought me the cheapest tiny napkins I’ve ever seen - the guy cooking was not very happy which is not good - no interaction with the customers - the silverware is cheap - honestly if I can find another hibachi grill place I don’t need to go back. They can do so much better.”

“Ordered take out for 4 adults on Saturday evening. First time we ordered food from this establishment but we checked other reviews and decided to give it a try. . Excellent. We ordered a couple of some evening specials: 1/2 Rack of ribs with chicken and 2 sides; another night special, pork and kraut with mashed as side. I might add if those mashed were not home made, I want the name of them--delicious, others ordered a cheesesteak sub. and the roll was absolutely delicious., with onions and peppers, fries and also another of mozz sticks with marinara, plain cheeseburger and fries. Everything was delicious and order perfect and they said only 15-20 time for pick up. The only thing that could have been better is if the pork and kraut meal and the rib & chicken meal came with dinner rolls or garlic bread. But no biggie. Would highly recommend and the 4 adults who ordered for this meal have all said will definitely go back. Great Job Mays!!!”

“The best experience provided by Garret, a Carlisle history lesson combined with awesome samples of great beers and articulated exactly what to expect with each beer and food selection. He knows his stuff! If you like a bit of spicy try the Philly burger! We have never had a burger prepared that way and is the best we have ever had. The Turncoat stout was a complete surprise to this beer snob! Loved it despite it looking like a cloudy IPA. Loved the red coat and peanut butter stout enough to take some home. Thanks to Garrett we will be coming back to visit with friends!”

“Okay, we might have a problem… we’ve been coming to Marcello's for a few years and always eat in the dining room and order their delicious Italian food, but we’d never tried their pizza. Last week we had their pizza for the first time and we are now having it for the third time in a week. It’s a problem! This white pizza… 🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼 They gave us these funnel fries and we’re weak in the knees. Cant recommend this place enough. My favorite part is that every time we come in we feel like family. Our new fav! 🍕”

Also, can be a hassle finding a place to park. Lots of antique things to see around the establishment. Friendly staff and great service, had the breakfast special for $9.99 , comes with 2 eggs your way, bacon, toast, pancakes and a coffee or tea. Will be coming back if in the area again.”

The BBQ Nachos were next-level amazing. Crisp chips loaded with creamy cheese sauce, tender pulled pork, pico, jalapeños, pickled onions, and so much more. Every bite was perfect! Their mac and cheese was super creamy, and the coleslaw was just as delicious — the perfect sides to round out the meal. “We were in town for 1 night and we had our pups with us. We saw they were dog friendly and sat outside. The blacked salmon tacos were fantastic and beer selection is extensive. Hubby had fish and chips and he liked them. The service was good. Atmosphere outside was fine. Only complaint was that the street is super busy so it can be loud, but nothing the bar can do about that.”

That’s the extent of the negative. The French fries were outstanding and plentiful. Many places serve cheap blue cheese with wings-not here. Once again tasty and plentiful. Best of all, they have PBR on tap. The clientele is friendly. The wife and I had an enjoyable time. Plan to go back.”

The restaurant was also very clean. All the sushi rolls we ordered were delicious and the mango mochi was a great dessert to finish with. Arrived the day before my appointment. Parked on street, walked to receiving and checked in. Was told they would call when they were ready for delivery. Did not receive a call. Went back to receiving 1 hour before appointment to check on status, was told they were ready. Backed into bay, pumped out the load. When it is complete, go tell them, they will shut their valve and get paperwork completed. Staff was professional but not proactive in any way, if you have questions, don't delay, go to receiving. “Sunday August 17th my wife and daughter and I were trying to decide on dinner. We agreed on popeyes. We pulled up to the ordering position and was greeted very politely and pleasantly. We placed our order and pulled up to the window. I was greeted by a pleasant young man who took my card and promptly handed me my food shortly after. At this point I normally would've driven off, but I felt compelled to inform the young man by the name of Marco that his gracious attitude and pleasant demeanor made the drive through experience better than other places we've been. It was refreshing to talk with someone like Marco. I'd say I would definitely go back not just for the food but to be greeted by Marco as well. This young man deserves recognition for his efforts and amazing attitude and effort he puts into his work.”
