“Went with family for a Birthday. We were a party of 6 about 5:10 or so. They said we could be seated right away and we were. All appetizers were excellent--fish tacos, mozzarella planks and chicken queso Dias and salads. All excellent. Various dinners of a special Filet mignon wrapped in bacon, risotto, blackened shrimp skewer and asparagus. The steak had a glaze of steak sauce of some sort blended with red wine. Another two persons chose the crab cake and New York strip with two sides, another lasagna dinner and last person ordered the honey infused broasted chicken half with mashed and vegetable of the day which was Veggie medley. We were al delighted with our dinner fare and apps and totally full but opted for deserts to go of Peanut Butter pie, Coconut cake and Creme Broulee. Everyone was verbal in saying they were so glad we went here for Birthday dinner. Thanks for the great time, quick table and excellent service. Hats off to Jordan our server.”

Mine was Spoonbread Shrimp, extraordinarily creative flavors : salty olive tapanade, savory grilled shrimp, and sweet cornbread with honey butter. New to their terrific menu, hope it stays!! I tip my hat to the chef.”

“Hazy Galaxy is the best beer in Carlisle! The food is limited but there is something for everyone. I suggest the porky cheese it and the blind bonnie!”

“Excellent all the way around. They made my birthday special. Our steaks were cooked perfectly (ribeye and filet). The roasted broccoli and pickled veggies were spot on. The decor makes you feel like you are in a 1794 tavern/inn. It's quiet enough to have a conversation. If you have the opportunity ion, ask for Savannah to be your waitress. She will take very good care of you.”

“My high school class had a 50th year reunion event in September at Fiddlers and they did a fantastic job!! We were to be in the pavilion; however, rainy weather forced us indoors. Jennifer, the restaurant manager, went above and beyond to accommodate our large group in one of the banquet rooms and ensured that we were provided the best service possible. The food was awesome and the servers were superb!! Everyone had a great time!! Thank you for all you did to make our reunion a success!! We will be back!!”

“This place could be so much better if they would get new chairs (they’re all coming apart and wobbly) - the staff is not that friendly - the atmosphere is nothing desirable - the food is good (not great) - it’s dirty esp in the bathrooms - the sink in the ladies room is falling apart and the faucets are coming out of the vanity - I asked for an extra napkin and she brought me the cheapest tiny napkins I’ve ever seen - the guy cooking was not very happy which is not good - no interaction with the customers - the silverware is cheap - honestly if I can find another hibachi grill place I don’t need to go back. They can do so much better.”

“Ah man! Everything was wonderful. Curried goat, rice and peas, plantains. I should have gotten a to go box for the leftovers, but I ate the whole thing! Plus I tasted my partner's meal too. Cole slaw, mac and cheese and fried chicken. All very good.”

“I had such a wonderful, unexpected experience at this pizza place! By chance, I met the owners and they invited me and my husband to try their pizza, and it is now definitely my favorite pizza I’ve ever had! The pizza was fresh, flavorful, and every bite showed the care they put into it. The prices were comparable to corporate owned chains but the quality was astronomically better than any other place I’ve been to. Having moved here from the West Coast I have been enjoying the opportunity to try new restaurants especially cuisine not as easy to come by back in our hometown. The owner spun the dough right in front of us, and it was clear how proud he is of his restaurant. He welcomed every customer with genuine warmth, making the atmosphere truly enjoyable. It felt like an authentic Italian experience, full of heart and passion. I can’t wait to go back and I am happy to know they even offer delivery! Looking forward to trying other items on their menu as well!”

“Stopped at Redd's today to see how their brisket stacked up. At first I was a little concerned when I pulled up to a storefront on Mainstreet Carlise PA to what looked like an entrance to a breakfast diner but then when you open the door that smoked goodness smacks ya in the face like Mike Tyson in the 90's KAPOWWW! When you get your meet its so juicy you better not be wearing your Sunday best or Jesus or Buddha or whoever will still be smelling ya next week. Stop on down if your in the area or hell drive a couple hours.... what else ya doing”

“Ordered take out for 4 adults on Saturday evening. First time we ordered food from this establishment but we checked other reviews and decided to give it a try. . Excellent. We ordered a couple of some evening specials: 1/2 Rack of ribs with chicken and 2 sides; another night special, pork and kraut with mashed as side. I might add if those mashed were not home made, I want the name of them--delicious, others ordered a cheesesteak sub. and the roll was absolutely delicious., with onions and peppers, fries and also another of mozz sticks with marinara, plain cheeseburger and fries. Everything was delicious and order perfect and they said only 15-20 time for pick up. The only thing that could have been better is if the pork and kraut meal and the rib & chicken meal came with dinner rolls or garlic bread. But no biggie. Would highly recommend and the 4 adults who ordered for this meal have all said will definitely go back. Great Job Mays!!!”

“We were there for dinner last night for Mother’s Day and, as always, the food was absolutely amazing! The restaurant was extremely crowded, and those waitresses were HUSTLING all night long trying to keep up with the rush. Honestly, I was shocked to see some people get up and leave before their food came because let me tell you — this place is 100% worth the wait. We stayed until closing and even went back into the kitchen just to personally thank everyone. They told us it was the busiest they’ve ever been, and despite that, they still delivered a phenomenal dining experience. A huge thank you to the entire staff for another incredible Mother’s Day dinner. If you love Italian food, you absolutely must check this place out. ❤️🍝”

“The best experience provided by Garret, a Carlisle history lesson combined with awesome samples of great beers and articulated exactly what to expect with each beer and food selection. He knows his stuff! If you like a bit of spicy try the Philly burger! We have never had a burger prepared that way and is the best we have ever had. The Turncoat stout was a complete surprise to this beer snob! Loved it despite it looking like a cloudy IPA. Loved the red coat and peanut butter stout enough to take some home. Thanks to Garrett we will be coming back to visit with friends!”

“I ordered a couple of pizzas today via DoorDash to feed my team. The quality of the pizzas and the flavor was top notch. My only issue was the “large” pizza is tiny. Which normally I would be ok but trying to feed a group at work with those tiny pizzas was a bit rough.”

This poor business owner has been battered by the ongoing construction on Hanover street; including taking half the guy's parking lot away...to the point I think Carlisle needs to step in with compensation for this poor guy before he calls it quits. I know the construction may not have been entirely their doing, but if they value a community staple like this, something should be done.”

“When I was there the peach milkshake wasn’t available even though it’s after Memorial Day. Tried to order from the breakfast menu to be told no because they stop serving breakfast at 10:30am. It wasn’t until i was waiting at the side counter right under the breakfast menu that I could read that in tiny tiny print that you cannot see when standing in line. That should be much bigger since the menu stays up and is not served all day. I ended up just getting the Mac and cheese which was really good.”

“This could be the best Italian sub in Carlisle with the quality of meats that they use. The only thing that's holding it back from being the best is the bread. They need to either make fresh bread or use Amoroso's or Liscio's rolls.”

Arrived the day before my appointment. Parked on street, walked to receiving and checked in. Was told they would call when they were ready for delivery. Did not receive a call. Went back to receiving 1 hour before appointment to check on status, was told they were ready. Backed into bay, pumped out the load. When it is complete, go tell them, they will shut their valve and get paperwork completed. Staff was professional but not proactive in any way, if you have questions, don't delay, go to receiving. “I know Hardee's in New Ulm MN has had some issues, but I went there today and was more than impressed! there were at least four people working there and they were so friendly and the food came really fast. it was fresh and hot and delicious! We had supplies for her, but what if we didn’t, ya know? It was so incredibly thoughtful of them to do that! They didn’t have to and could’ve ignored the hot dog outside! Thank you guys!”

“Like a lot of people I’m grateful for such a convenient location. If you stick to the menu’s greatest hits, quality is fine. But their iced tea tastes stale even at 8:30 am - not sure they’re thoroughly cleaning that carafe. No complaints about service, they’re not super warm but they get the job done efficiently.”

The food is always prepared quickly and ready in time not to mention it stays piping hot from the time you pick it up until you get back. I’ve never had anything get cold from there! “On May 6th, Firehouse Subs gave away a feee sandwich for anyone named a derivative of Michael. What they don’t tell you until you are at the register is that you have to pay for it unless you give them a 5 star review and 5s for Food, Service, and Atmosphere. And yes, they watch you so the review on your phone. I would have given them 5 stars if they had just asked instead. I suspect that the average rating of this restaurant will jump up today from all the Mike’s giving their reviews to get a free sandwich.

Again, the food was really good, the service was fast and friendly (the line was long but moved quickly), and the restaurant was clean. So yes, I would give them 5 stars in each category. I just find this practice to be deceptive and a bit unethical.”

“Arrived at 7:30 right before closing. We were traveling. As we looked over the menu, server informed that we 5 minutes to get our order in because the grill closed down. We quickly scanned the menu and placed the order. The food was good and hot. The salad bar is very pricey. It is around $14 and that didn't include the drink. I did like that they had a lighter menu. I ordered from that. This is not a date night restaurant.”

“We have loved this Starbucks mostly because of the employees. Every time we have gone there, the customer service is fantastic and they are so kind and easy to work with. I have my same grievance that I have with every Starbucks which is that I believe the coffee and food is way overpriced. I usually only go to Starbucks when I have a gift card because I don’t feel good about spending so much money on something that isn’t that great and is a huge chain. I’d rather spend the same amount at a local coffee shop that has far better coffee and bakery items.”
