“Today my daughter and I enjoyed the most delicious lunch at One 13 Social in downtown Carlisle. Small plates are elegant and perfect for lunch. Mine was Spoonbread Shrimp, extraordinarily creative flavors : salty olive tapanade, savory grilled shrimp, and sweet cornbread with honey butter. New to their terrific menu, hope it stays!! I tip my hat to the chef.”

“We recently rented the winery for a bridal shower. Absolutely loved the atmosphere and the owner of the establishment. It’s a beautiful place. They were very accommodating and wonderful to work with. I would highly recommend checking them out if you are looking for a place to rent.”

“I recently had redds bbq cater my wedding and they did an amazing job! I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for catering their special day at a good price! Brent was super personable and made the whole experience really easy. They cleaned up the food us and gave everyone good sized portions. There was definitely no one going home hungry. All of our guests raved about their food. I would definitely support this small business again.”

“My high school class had a 50th year reunion event in September at Fiddlers and they did a fantastic job!! We were to be in the pavilion; however, rainy weather forced us indoors. Jennifer, the restaurant manager, went above and beyond to accommodate our large group in one of the banquet rooms and ensured that we were provided the best service possible. The food was awesome and the servers were superb!! Everyone had a great time!! Thank you for all you did to make our reunion a success!! We will be back!!”

“This place could be so much better if they would get new chairs (they’re all coming apart and wobbly) - the staff is not that friendly - the atmosphere is nothing desirable - the food is good (not great) - it’s dirty esp in the bathrooms - the sink in the ladies room is falling apart and the faucets are coming out of the vanity - I asked for an extra napkin and she brought me the cheapest tiny napkins I’ve ever seen - the guy cooking was not very happy which is not good - no interaction with the customers - the silverware is cheap - honestly if I can find another hibachi grill place I don’t need to go back. They can do so much better.”

“I frequent the Grill often. The owners Terry and Chris are fantastic. The food is amazing. Stopped in last night 5/10 and received a recommendation to try the bourbon sirloin and shrimp, AMAZING!! My steak was cooked to perfection, medium rare. The Brussel sprouts are my favorite veggie. Kudos to this establishment and the owners and their wonderful staff. Love you all.”

“We were heading up to Hershey, Pa. this past week and found this gem of a diner. So, upon returning home four days later, we wanted to stop there again and we were delighted to find it again! “Ordered take out for 4 adults on Saturday evening. First time we ordered food from this establishment but we checked other reviews and decided to give it a try. . Excellent. We ordered a couple of some evening specials: 1/2 Rack of ribs with chicken and 2 sides; another night special, pork and kraut with mashed as side. I might add if those mashed were not home made, I want the name of them--delicious, others ordered a cheesesteak sub. and the roll was absolutely delicious., with onions and peppers, fries and also another of mozz sticks with marinara, plain cheeseburger and fries. Everything was delicious and order perfect and they said only 15-20 time for pick up. The only thing that could have been better is if the pork and kraut meal and the rib & chicken meal came with dinner rolls or garlic bread. But no biggie. Would highly recommend and the 4 adults who ordered for this meal have all said will definitely go back. Great Job Mays!!!”

Craving some eggs and potatoes to kick off the day, I was thrilled to find a spot that mixes it all together in a skillet—making it even more satisfying to dig into. The service was wonderful, and the food was even better. We arrived a little after 8 a.m., and by the time we left, it was clear why there was a line out the door. An awesome stop to start your day or recover from the night before!”

The young wait staff were attentive and engaging.
Salad is delicious, with the perfect amount of dressing. "Bunt Ends" were flavorful.
The delicious "Cuban" sandwich was a hot presentation of spicy meats on a toasted baguette.
Enjoyed a luscious dry-hopped local beer on tap.
Arrived at eight when the later guests filled the place, and enjoyed a meal while people -watching.

Parking: At 8pm on Friday several street spaced were available within the block.”

“She was able to accommodate three different types of gluten free cupcakes for a birthday party. And all different types were delicious!!!!! People were raving about them. And you could never have been able to tell that they were gluten free!! Chocolate with peanut butter icing, carrot cake with cream cheese icing, and red velvet with cream cheese icing. All amazing and all made from scratch. Thanks again!”

“Okay, we might have a problem… we’ve been coming to Marcello's for a few years and always eat in the dining room and order their delicious Italian food, but we’d never tried their pizza. Last week we had their pizza for the first time and we are now having it for the third time in a week. It’s a problem! This white pizza… 🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼 They gave us these funnel fries and we’re weak in the knees. Cant recommend this place enough. My favorite part is that every time we come in we feel like family. “Wife and I went to John's Hideaway Restaurant for the first time on Saturday. I ordered the chipped beef over toast with hashbrowns. I have to say, it was the best darn chipped beef breakfast I ever had. It tastes like homemade, was nice and creamy, didn't need any extra seasoning. Well done!”

“I ordered a couple of pizzas today via DoorDash to feed my team. The quality of the pizzas and the flavor was top notch. My only issue was the “large” pizza is tiny. Which normally I would be ok but trying to feed a group at work with those tiny pizzas was a bit rough.”

It's a little loud and spacious so hearing your company is a challenge.

Food is a little pricey for what your getting, but no more than anywhere else.

My last point is that the menu posted on google maps did not match their fare. Older menus pollute the Internet. They should put some effort in to keeping their image current.”

“I had the Angel roll and my mom had the Golden Dragon roll. Both were delicious. Probably some of the best sushi I had in this area. I'd definitely come back here again! Also, they’re open on Columbus Day which came in handy.”

“I've been here twice and love the place. It's a smoking bar so just know that going in and if you don't like that go somewhere else. The food is great and the drinks are cheap! You can go there with $20 and eat and drink for a while. I'm not a super chatty guy but I sat at the bar and made some friends anyway because everyone there is super nice and love to make you feel at home.
There's pool tables, live music, and touch tones music. Love this place!”

“I would absolutely recommend George's! This restaurant was founded on the American Dream! 66 years is a long time y'all! This is such a treasure in Carlisle! Besides that...The staff is amazing, down to earth and friendly (which is very important to me), the dining area/ restrooms were clean, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu and I especially love all their new options for catering! And how sweet is it to look at all those old vintage pictures, and say "hey you see that picture of the kid with the eye patch and busted up teeth, and looks like they belong on a sad commercial raising money... that was me!" haha. It's nice that they have tables instead of just the booths to accommodate more people with parties. And the soda self refill option is nice so you don't need to wait in line anymore to fill up your cup. Their 3 foot Sub is excellent for any event and is a crowd pleaser and a great price too! My absolute favorites would have to be the burger sub on homemade roll, white pizza, onion petals, fries, and milkshake.. okay like everything is good there haha.”

The portions were large. I couldn’t believe how low our bill was for the amount of FRESH food we had. They weren’t very busy with dine-in customers but there was a steady flow of take out customers. I would definitely recommend dining in to get the full experience. I should also add that it was very clean.”

It was our first time there and she explained the menu very patiently to us. As we came in and left, all the staff greeted us and you don’t get that experience very often in most restaurants. The restaurant was also very clean. All the sushi rolls we ordered were delicious and the mango mochi was a great dessert to finish with. The Mozzarella Sticks (4 ea.) are a fave of my daughter's. They disappeared quickly. Thought we'd try the Potato Cakes (3 ea.) & they were as delicious as expected. Definitely recommend!”

“We have been going to this location since they opened up. It has gone downhill over the years with the employees. Never go through the drive thru it will take forever. Went the other night and it took 15 minutes to get 3 arctic swirls and a mix cup. The girl screwed up the order and gave me attitude when I said it should of been cookie dough not whatever she made. When she put in on the counter for my daughter to pick up it had a huge hole in the center of nothing. Not sure where the custard n cookie dough went. Plus her shorts were a little short that her “cheeks” were hanging out the back when filling up the machine. The only reason we keep coming back is because of the product not the customer service. Maybe management should spend some time at this location and get these kids trained to be able to multi task instead of doing 1 thing at a time. And less talking until the customer are serviced.”

“Dietary restrictions: The menu is marked gluten sensitive but for someone with celiac it needs further explanation. It said the fries are gs but when asked if chicken is fried in same oil the answer was yes. That is not gluten sensitive or gluten free. The manager Did come to our table explained about using their menu online and getting allergy items. However we already placed our order.”

“I visited this pizza bolis because the Mechanicsburg location reportedly experienced a fire and closed down. Their pizza was satisfactory, although a bit oily. They do have a restroom, but it's accessed through the kitchen; I'm unsure about their policy on restroom access for customers.”
