It's a bit off the beaten track if you're driving, but I recommend finding this place and stopping in!”

Someone steered us to The Coffin, and we had an excellent time. The food was delicious, and we were particularly delighted with the bao buns. They were just as good as the pork belly buns that were our favorite dish at an LA Asian restaurant that closed during the pandemic. Service at The Coffin was prompt and cordial, and the decor was a kick. Highly recommend.”

They were fantastic. BUT the chicken corn chowder was even better. In fact: the best I have ever had, and we live in Lancaster County. There was a nice little picnic area on wood chips right next to it, which was nice.”

As soon as I came to this unassuming shop in the park city mall I got the most pleasant smack in the face of nostalgia ever. The staff is great, friendly and extremely polite and punctual. I was never without water or a drink and she even got our app order in before the happy hour special ended! The crab dip was big and cheesy with warm, soft pitas for dipping, or shall I say, scooping. Could have used a few more since the dip was big, but they do offer extra for a small fee. Main courses were plentiful. I tried the chicken souvlaki which came open-faced with 2 full skewers of perfectly grilled chicken kabobs. The poor pita they rested on got a little soggy, but I pushed through and ate it open- faced and cut into pieces 😉. The Parmesan crusted salmon was thick and cooked perfectly served with creamy Parmesan sauce and the Cuban panini, huge! Wonderful meal, didn't try the bar, but it looked good, too.”

I had a client in need of seat, and an outlet for his portable O2 in a standing room only Butter & Bean. So, one of the staff hears my plea for help and Jessie, the owner comes out. She makes arrangements for not only a seat near an outlet but grabs an extension cord to allow for some movement. The patrons in the entire cafe made way for Jessie and my client. I ask if we can just chill for an hour or so, till he gets charged up and she wouldn't hear of it. "Stay as long as you need to", she said. So, I bought my client a coffee and a sandwich, which was amazing, bought some coffees for those that made space for him, and invited the entire bus group to join us and support Butter and Bean. And we sure did. The food and coffee were great, but the spirit, the vibe and the whole experience I needed to share. Oh, did I mention it was Black Saturday, November 25, 2023, at 1230p!!! Who does that??? Well, Butter and Bean does! So, get great coffee and really good eats, and support a business that we will proudly support in every way.”

“We live in Los Angeles. We were visiting family in Philly and came to Lancaster for the day on a Monday when most of the restaurants were closed. Someone steered us to The Coffin, and we had an excellent time. The food was delicious, and we were particularly delighted with the bao buns. They were just as good as the pork belly buns that were our favorite dish at an LA Asian restaurant that closed during the pandemic. Service at The Coffin was prompt and cordial, and the decor was a kick. Highly recommend.”
