“We were taken to Carytown Indian Cuisine last night by our kids. We were so impressed with our experience! The food was amazing. I requested a specially prepared curry vegetable dish, and the chef/owner was happy to create it for me. Several of our party enjoyed tikki masala with chicken. We also enjoyed lentils, cooked to perfection and wonderful chocolate lava cake for dessert. The service was impecable. Our waiters were so attentive and responsive, even though it was a very busy night. The ambience was warm and classy. The chef/owner was so gracious and even visited us at our table. “First, our reservation was for 4 and with a few hours notice, they were able to add 2 more to our reservation (on Labor Day weekend nonetheless) and push our reservation back for us. Greatly appreciated the flexibility. We sat on the patio, such a cute vibe. Secondly, service- absolutely phenomenal. We loved our server. She cut up with us, told us what to order (and steered us RIGHT). The experience was just 20/10. We all ordered a ton of food and shared everything (best choice) and everyone loved it all. We had some pickier eaters with us who decided to branch out and try octopus among other things and they loved it. We raved about the food for dayssss. This will be my first stop next time we are back in Charleston. I’m still thinking about the food. 4/6 of us had been to Greece and this was such a great, authentic Greek restaurant closer to home. It really was so good. Well done Stella’s. You were our favorite place during our 4 night stay! I can’t even pick a favorite thing it was all so good.”

“DRR catered our wedding on 6/8/24. They were punctual, professional, and knew what they were doing! I had a stress free day with them at my wedding! The bartender was also incredibly personable! She had even took time to visit my wedding website so she knew what to expect. I was shocked (in a positive way!) it truly shows just how dedicated they are to their customers. From the taste testing to the day of, we couldn’t have asked for better people to work with! We also received lots of compliments on how well the food tasted!! “On 08/03/2022, my wife and I brought our cousins here to celebrate their 50th anniversary. The food and service was excellent. Our waiter was Sean. HOWEVER, during the reservation process, I was asked at least twice if there was a celebration and if so what type. I indicated on both occasions that it was a anniversary. I just assumed that when I was asked about the occasion that this occasion would somehow be acknowledged. It wasn't. (Happy anniversary). I heard the waiter at the table next to ours wish the celebrants a happy anniversary. Also, based on other reviews on this site, I noticed that a dessert was given to the celebrants as a memento. Not to our party. As I said, the service and food were excellent but missing the little "happy anniversary" left me and my wife feeling a little empty.”

“The waiter didn’t seem too happy.? He was short with us and not welcoming. That really left me not wanting to eat there but my kid wanted pho after a long ride from Virginia Beach. (And people have crappy days.) The pho was okay. Broth was okay. Noodles a little over cooked. They did not skimp on the meat so that was a plus. Ordered chicken pho but got veggie pho and that was okay because my other kid was grounded anyway. Veggie pho would definitely make the list of foods to give your grounded kid. She hated it and was pretty mad. I guess that’s a plus.
We paid. Waited for the receipt to sign and tip but there was nothing. All in all, it wasn’t the worse experience -just awkward.

We headed to the restaurant, but when we got there the owner explained that the restaurant had just closed for the evening. He gave us a few recommendations on other places to eat, and we started to search for an Uber. A few minutes later, the owner, Tysean, opened the door and offered to go back in the kitchen and cook something for us. We couldn’t pass that offer up. We waited for a few minutes, and he brought us out some of the best chicken I’ve eaten in a long time along with some, nicely seasoned potato wedges and hot buttery honey biscuits. Along with some honey mustard dipping sauce and sweet tea to wash it all down, we had an amazing meal. I’ll definitely be back, and you should visit if you are in Richmond.”

The Steamed Veggie Bun was very tasty. The filling for that is like eating the filling of a veg eggroll. Both of the above buns were perfectly steamed! The Pan-Fried Pork Dumplings were my fave- so yummy, juicy, and just a great flavor. I would have liked a variety of sauce options instead of the same dipping sauce for the buns & dumplings to jazz things up a bit, but this was a really nice dining experience. Pretty traditional in terms of the sauce. The site is not allowing me to post pics with this review but the filling was pretty generous in both buns as well as in the dumplings. The Chicken Soup was just ok- it's missing a little something, maybe just needs some seasoning.”

“We've been going across town to the Broad Street location for years, but live in Midlothian. We were so happy when they told us they were opening up a sister location in Chesterfield, just 7 minutes from Midlothian! We were NOT disappointed! The place was packed, yet we were seated, offered drinks, asked about ordering, and receiving our food all in a very timely manner. And, just like the other location, the food was sooooo tasty! My apologies to the Broad Street location, but I'll probably eat here more than there.”

“My wife and I went there for our 35th anniversary. We arrived a little early but they sent us upstairs and we were seated immediately. Our server Lindsey was absolutely wonderful. She was very attentive and thoughtful. Our food was delicious and we decided to have dessert and it to was great. When Lindsey brought us the check it was about as I would expect for a nice restaurant and the dessert was free because of our anniversary. When we're in Richmond again I would definitely return to this restaurant and I would ask for Lindsey to be our server.”

I had roasted garlic sirloin, caesar salad and most delicious mashed potatoes. My friend had salmon and crisp ranch rings. But the real reason we had such a great experience is because of our Server, Colton. Not only was he efficient, but he was the most polite, accommodating, thoughtful Server we have ever had anywhere. His personality
and willingness to see that we had everything we needed was much appreciated. It was obvious he enjoyed serving his customers and with a smile. We eat out a lot, and l can say without a doubt it's rare to find a Server like Colton.

After receiving my food and taking a seat to check my food, a cashier approached me with a smile and offered me a complimentary milkshake that they had accidentally made. It was very kind of her to offer it to me. However, I must mention that the chicken tenders were quite small and not worth the price, and they lacked significant flavor.”
