“This is well known in the Nashville area. Had lunch there, no wait as we were there about 11:30 am. About an hour later, there was a wait.. but well worth it. It's a place you just need to go to to experience how it was back in t he 50's on Hwy 100! Staff was awesome, food fantastic!“

That didn’t stop just at the start but all throughout our time there. The lady helping us (her name was Isis, I believe) even followed back up with us on something. Her and the manager went above and beyond to take care of us on something we didn’t even ask them to. Btw, nothing happened, they were just out of something, it came back in and they took care of us. A measure most would not do but she found us and made sure to take care. Now THAT is friendly customer service! The food is so amazing, y’all. This is going to be my new joint for every single visit to Nashville from now on. Hot dayum!!“

“We had to come to this institution of Southern Meat and 3 Restaurants. As a Chef, I always seek out the best places in the cities I travel to. They won a James Beard Award in 2009. Met the Owner, Rose, and her son, Cahill. They bought is dessert which was this awesome Bread Pudding and Peach Pie that was just incredible. This is a place that shows what True Southern Food and True Southern Hospitality are all about. Thank You“

The young man that parked my Jeep was so nice and professional. But back to the restaurant. I was 100% impressed with just a burger that we are looking forward to coming back and having a real dinner. Hands down worth the time and energy. “This place is the golden time capsule that Nashville always needs. You couldn't convince me my grandmother (God rest her southern soul) didn't go back there and make my biscuits and gravy.

The food is classic, old-school Southern good-eats. Doesn't get any better or simpler. I got the full Ultimate breakfast platter, and let me tell you that you'd better be famished 🤣. It's so much food for $15, I fought with it for about 45 minutes but lost in the end to it's gargantuan size.

The staff is above-and-beyond charming, experienced, and overall what's missing from modern customer service post-COVID. If you haven't been here, stop what you're doing and go.

“The food was great! I really enjoyed the pork chop along with the amazing chocolate cake I got for dessert. The service was exceptionally bad. My husband and another couple with us got their food and it took almost 25 minutes for them to bring mine. After getting our food our server then disappeared again and and the general manager got involved and did end up comping my entree and sent a bottle of prosecco to our room. While he did make it right we will not be returning.“
