“My recent visit to Sari Filipino Kusina with my son was nothing short of a delightful experience. From the moment we walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere drew us in. The restaurant combines modern decor with touches of Filipino culture, creating a setting that’s both stylish and cozy.

The food is the real highlight. We started with lumpiang shanghai, which was perfectly crisp and packed with flavor, a promising start to our meal. I went for the adobo, which was tender, rich, and savory, while my son chose the sinigang, a soup that had just the right balance of tanginess and warmth. The lechon kawali we shared was incredibly crispy outside, with melt-in-your-mouth tenderness inside—a true treat.

Dessert was a shared halo-halo, and it was fantastic. It’s a layered, colorful mix of flavors and textures that ended the meal on a refreshing note.

The difference is that the staff actually care about their customers, and take pride in their food. It’s not so common these days, and is a pleasant surprise. “This is our go to spot for week night dinner! My son wanted Papusas while I wanted a steak and cheese (get the royal with the avocado!! Soooo good!) everyone can get what they want for very reasonable prices.

“We went for Sunday brunch yesterday and our server was CJ. The bottomless mimosas were served in coup glasses and were plentiful (limit of 5 per person 👍🏻). I had the Huevos Rancheros which were served with breakfast potatoes and the order was big enough to share. The service was quick and thoughtful. I’d definitely recommend Drapers for Sunday brunch. The lunch and dinner menu looked interesting and I’m sure we’ll be back. A corner jewel in old towne Fairfax.“

“Wow! Besides the food being exceptional, I was also informed that they cook in exclusively olive oil, use good quality ingredients (no shortcuts), and their meat is halal. The owners are passionate and the food tastes like a lot of love and thought has gone into curating each dish.

I got the guac taco dip, Mexican chicken tacos, and pressed taco- flavorful, fresh and probably the best food I’ve had in a while.

It's conveniently located near one of my favorite theaters, and Andy's Pizza is the perfect spot to meet up with friends before or after a screening to grab a bite to eat and a good drink (Atlas Brewery being part of the same space is a cool touch, and I've had a couple of good brewskis too). Great service, delicious pizza. I love a thin crust and getting a single slice or two served up on a classic white paper plate really hits the spot when you want some 'za. “I've been a happy customer at the Courthouse location for 5 years. The staff are super nice and caring! The food is always delicious and prepared beautifully..recommend the falafel bowl, tofu salad, Greek yogurt items, smoothies, avocado toast, soup, and cookies. Very fresh ingredients.

Dietary restrictions: There are many healthy vegetarian options..none of the super processed mock meats are offered. Some of the side items are a huge portion too. Salads that have meat or dairy could be modified easily with vegetarian or vegan options. Vegan soup option is fantastic.“

“First of all the atmosphere is so cute!! They went all out for halloween but in general you can tell a lot of thought was put into the decor to make it a fun environment. The happy hour was great, 10/10 recommend their spicy margarita. The beef empanadas were so delicious and all of their salsas and house sauce was so good. Lastly, our server Lucas was so attentive and great. Everything came out extremely quick and he was very personable. This will be our new go to spot before EagleBank events!

I cannot thank you enough for setting it all up and for working so closely with them to sculpt the menu, arrange for the upstairs and deliver the hot and delicious food so swiftly upon our arrival – our pre-order menu worked perfectly, and you and your wait staff went above and beyond to be so accommodating. My teachers were stunned at the quality of the food and the ambiance and said it was their top ranked choice of all the places we ate. I am uncertain what the school’s plans are for next year, but if I or the school returns to the DC/VA area, I will certainly call upon you and return to La Bettola. “My husband Adam is on chemo for pancreatic cancer. Today was the first time in three weeks he felt up to going out. Because of the chemo, he has changes in taste and unexpected issues with food textures. The manager replaced his first meal with something he could tolerate and enjoy when he realized he couldn’t eat his usual favorite menu item. Excellent and caring service. “I can say this place definitely does serve Hawai'ian-style poké, as I was in Hawai'i for two weeks prior to trying it out. Their fish is fresh and flavorful! Lots of choices to make your own poké bowl. They even serve the same style drinks as Hawai'ian pokè places, which gives it a more authentic feel.
