“We recently treated ourselves to AA Sushi and were super impressed by the food, service and ambiance. They had a wide selection of items that were expertly prepared and ready quickly! I was amazed to get an array of salmon rolls at an affordable price as part of their lunch special. The service was friendly and super helpful. I have been looking for a good sushi restaurant in North Seattle over the past two years and I think I have finally found our spot! We will definitely be returning.“

“TLDR: Food was increadible, felt very rushed and unwelcome by the staff.
My wife and I made a reservation and got 12 sushi + 18 sashimi and a bottle of sake to share. The food was increadible and came very quickly. There were many tables empty when we arrived and plenty still empty when we left. From the time we arrived to when we finished eating was maybe 30 min. It felt like after we paid they were trying to rush us out, really weird vibe. We sat for another 15 min finishing our water and left, having stayed for under an hour.“

“One of my favorite Japanese restaurants (not to mention the oldest in Seattle) and it has never disappointed me. The food is delicious and the service is friendly and warm. It’s a difficult time we are in with the pandemic of 2020, but Maneki has transitioned to take out, which it never did before, and is so organized that it blew my mind when I saw how clearly labeled each item was when I got home. I could easily tell which was part of the teishoku 定食 or “set meal.” Support this small business because it needs us now more than ever. 01 DEC 2020.“

“The food at Migaku is exquisite, and everything about the experience is crafted to highlight the food and enable you to appreciate it. We sat at the bar and enjoyed watching the chefs slice the fish and craft the nigiri sushi. The food, served course by course, and included traditional dishes as well as sushi, miso, chawanmushi, and beef. (The staff was very accommodating when we realized one member of our party wouldn't be able to eat the sauce on the beef dish. They prepared the beef grilled instead.) As a diner, you're part of the experience for the entire room, which means focusing on the food and gentle conversation (the chefs are happy to tell you about the dishes they're serving). The night we were there, all of the two- and four-person parties seemed quite tuned in to the serentity of the environment. It's a great way to appreciate food.“

“This is the fastest service for lunch in downtown Seattle. They have delicious food (my favorite is the Radical bowl, with raw salmon and tuna), a variety of options for everyone, and the owners and staff are wonderful. They're so kind and friendly.
The food is always fresh and delicious. I've been going here for 5 years, and the quality has always been good and hasn't changed.“

“This is by far the most authentic Katsu Curry I’ve had in Seattle. 2 weeks removed from visiting Japan and dealing with post trip blues, this was an incredible meal that checks every box. The fried Shrimp (Ebi) was incredible. The Pork Katsu curry set was fried to absolute perfection.“

“So good!! The onigiri were huge and delicious. We really liked the California and spicy tuna. Agedashi tofu was a delightful surprise too. Lychee iced tea was on the sweet side but also very refreshing. So glad to have visited! The wait for 2 wasn’t bad at all, and there’s a nice outdoor waiting area.“

“(UPDATED REVIEW) I visited here in December 2023. Last time, the food was so good and the servicd was amazing. The prices weren't bad either. Im back again, and the food is still top tier. Really good dining place, the service is immaculate. The prices could be a little cheaper but its okay! Love this place!“

“A great meal that was delicious, but here are some pointers. The Area 206 curry is a very rich and like others have reviewed, the rice portion is not bigger enough, so I’m glad I ordered an extra portion of rice so in order to enjoy the curry. The fried chicken was great too, but because I ordered take out and the chicken was on top of the rice, by the time I had walked the 2 blocks back to my hotel, it was no longer crispy. The chicken should be put in a separate none plastic container. The staff were exceptionally kind and the seating was very authentic, but minimal…only 3 hi top tables and a counter top area down the side of the kitchen. Not that it will affect most, be aware too that they take cash, but don’t give change. I would definitely go again when back in town, as I would now love to try the Ramen with the Area 206 curry.“

“Sooooo yummy, I highly recommend! I was really craving the onigiri that I had in Japan, so I found this place in seattle and am so grateful this place exists! Dedicated gluten free, delicious food (the potato salad is amazing and of course the many different onigiri to choose from), and most importantly the lady (owner?) is always sooo incredibly kind, thoughtful, and very nice (it makes you want to support local businesses because there is so much care in the food and overall experience). If I lived closer, I would regularly go there. Definitely check it out!“

“Just went there for the Gyudon and it exceeded my expectations. It was very delicious and on the spot. Down side is nothing to do with the restaurant but parking. It is hard to find a good parking spot. However will be coming back but probably picking up the food rather than dinning in.“

“I’ve been coming to Nasai Teriyaki for just over 10 years for my Teriyaki fix, and they’re consistently the best around. It’s actually hard for me to eat teriyaki elsewhere because Nasai is just that good. Things are made to order (and they ask me for level of spice!), and the resulting flavor is perfectly charred and absolutely delicious.
I always get the spicy chicken & gyoza combo, but also love their chicken yakisoba. My household will always go out of our way to eat here when we have a teriyaki craving!
Easy strip mall location with a parking lot, and the folks running this small business are so kind and hardworking. I hope to continue to visit for many more years!“

“Shiki is our go to restaurant when we have events around the Seattle center area. Best to have reservations as the dining area inside is cozy. Wonderful menu and I love their miso soup as they use a darker miso paste which gives it a richer flavor. Highly recommended!“

“I'll echo what other reviewers have said. Ive been here dozens of times and get the medium spicy chicken teriyaki every time. It's the most consistent and best tasting chicken and sauce of any teriyaki I've had. Very nice family who runs it too.“

“Kid cannot wait to come back after having Kid's first ever Ramune and eating pretty well.
We were there for early dinner bc that's how we do, and I think we overlapped with a younger, late lunch afternoon date cool kid crowd which was probably less fun for them but didn't bother us. Chicken Katsu was great; Tofu poke bowl was well seasoned and the perfect size. Only wish their curry was vegetarian because Japanese curry popping up on a menu is like a mirage; I've been out here in the pork and beef filled dessert, and when I get up close to it's glistening spicy pool... Snatched away again.“

“I Highlight recommend this place. I tried their Beef Bibimbap and it was really authentic and delicious. Don't underestimate the simple look of the small restaurant. They are giving a very good quality/price ratio.“

“Their appetizers are so good I tend to get 2-3 instead of an entree.
- Agedashi tofu: simple but great, they just mastered this one
- The blackcod cheek is astonishingly good, basically half (the protein portion of) a fancy fish entree
- The vegetable or shrimp tempura: solid, high-quality instance of the category
There's also some sort of mountain yam slime option that I would get at least once, just because it's interesting.“

“Koibito is a fantastic spot for delicious sushi and perfectly cooked teriyaki chicken. They also serve some of the best fried rice I’ve ever had. I just wish they were open on weekends too! Really looking forward to trying the rest of the menu.“

“Ordered the aji fry (horse mackerel fish) for $9, and salmon collar. The aji was perfectly crunchy and fried without being too greasy - highly recommend. Didn't come with rice or lettuce as it was served as an appetizer, so I'd suggest ordering those separately if you're looking for a meal!
Salmon collar was supposed to be grilled but appeared deep fried. Still delicious, just sharing for other seafood lovers.
For the price, drinks (good sake selection) and ambience, it was very worth it - hidden gemstone in Cap Hill, and fairly spacious (6+ tables with counter area that could easily seat 6+ ppl). Would be happy to come back.“

The service is always great too, super nice and friendly:) Definitely recommend! Great prices and big portions!“

“I’ve been coming here since I was in middle school. It was always our favorite teriyaki spot in Seattle because the family that first opened it was so friendly, and the food was always delicious.
I’ve seen it change ownership probably 3 times. The quality has gone up and down. Overall, it’s probably not as good as it used to be, but it’s still one of the better Seattle teriyaki shops.
Giving it a high rating in hopes that it remains in operation, and to hopefully motivate the owners to keep up the good work!“

“Food: big portions, quality taste! I was pretty satisfied with the meal. We got spicy chicken and the beef teriyaki. Beef was soft but I felt like there was a bigger portion of the chicken. Happy to get both again.
Service: expect to wait as there is usually a line for orders and the food is being made fresh. Highly highly recommend you call first then expect to wait ~15min give or take.
Atmosphere: community posters for events and old magazines to read while you wait. Lots of plants and kind of in an odd place next to a liquor store and gas station.
Overall, I’d come again for a filling casual meal where I’m not in a rush. Solid place on the radar 👍🏼“
