“First time here. Ordered the pizza focaccia and the rosemary garlic focaccia. You can taste the aroma of the tomato sauce and the light texture of the bread. The sauce didn't make the bread soggy as I was thinking it would. The garlic/rosemary was my favorite of the two. For you garlic and rosemary lover, this is the one you must try. Fresh garlic taste with the awesome smell of the rosemary. This would go great with balsamic vinegar and olive oil. You need to go early before they get sold-out. I will be back for other selections.“

Best berry scone I’ve ever had - I’ll be thinking about it for awhile.“

“Had a great experience at Maison Nico today! I ordered a Pain au Chocolat and matcha, and both exceeded my expectations. The Pain au Chocolat was beautifully made - so light and delicate with those perfect flaky, crispy layers on top that you expect from a well-crafted pastry.
What really stood out was their matcha. Finally found a place that serves it the proper way - no added sugar at all! It's refreshing to taste the pure, earthy flavor of quality matcha instead of the overly sweet versions you get at most cafes.
I was fortunate to walk in without a line, but within several minutes there was a steady stream of customers forming a queue. That's always a good sign that locals know this place is worth the wait. The quality of their pastries and attention to authentic preparation definitely shows. Will be back to try more items!“

She was so excited when we presented her cake and she loved the bee, lady bug, and butterfly decorations, which were an extra special touch added by the bakery! The cake was delicious with a soft cake, fresh strawberries, and a subtly sweet whipped cream. Thank you Schubert's for helping make my daughters birthday special!“

“A very cozy place in the financial district. Even though we went on a weekend, there were still a lot of people working there. Their pour over coffee is reasonably priced and they also provide coffee beans in the shop. I like the paintings they have inside. The coffee also comes with a postcard telling us where the coffee beans come from and the history, which I think is very nice. If you like coffee, I recommend giving this place a try.“

She got 6 dozen buns in total, including roast pork, pineapple custard and green onion. She said she preordered the day before since she was getting so many. So, I had high expectations. I ordered 10 pineapple and roast pork buns and asked for 1 to be set aside so Mom and I could sample it in the store. It was delicious. Unfortunately, they were out of the other buns or else I may have gotten some more. Next time....

“One of my favorite bakeries in the city. The pastries here are all so unique with them all being Korean inspired. My favorites are the galbi and injeolmi croissants but you can't go wrong with any of the pastries here. If you do go here though I'd go as early as possible because they sell out of things fast. Coffee and tea here are great as well with the honeycomb toffee latte being a favorite of mine. The actual bakery itself looks very nice with a minimalist design but it's very small so they have you wait outside if you order a drink.“

“The best babka I've ever had. Incredible texture, chocolate quality, and baking skills on presentation here. I would go so far to say this babka is an achievement on the levels of the great SF bakeries (Tartine, Jane, b. patisserie). As an at home chef, I know how hard making things to scale can be and I commend the owner for scaling something this special.

Had a picnic with the babka pie, cake, and rolls. Cardamom, chocolate and hazelnut, and pumpkin. My personal favorite was the chocolate but everyone in my group had a different favorite. You can't go wrong at this wonderful bakery!“
