“So a quaint and beautiful bakery. Had the chocolate almond croissant on sourdough bread. It was such a beautiful combination of sweet and sour flavors. The pastry was buttery and the chocolate filling was sweet, maybe little too sweet. The proprietor of the business is such a sweet man. He helped me picked out a good pastry and billed me up right away so that I don’t miss my train. Overall, loved the pastry and business.“

“A very cozy place in the financial district. Even though we went on a weekend, there were still a lot of people working there. Their pour over coffee is reasonably priced and they also provide coffee beans in the shop. I like the paintings they have inside. The coffee also comes with a postcard telling us where the coffee beans come from and the history, which I think is very nice. If you like coffee, I recommend giving this place a try.“

“I am Italian. We passed by here by chance in 2017 and apparently 8 years later we are still talking about it. A dive into the past and a focaccia to remember; a bit on the soft side compared to the way we have them where I am from. Packed with care.“

“Absolutely loved the egg tarts. The crust was perfectly flaky and the custard was smooth, rich, and not overly sweet. The surprise add-on of cinnamon on top made it even better, it added such a cozy, unique flavor that really stood out. Fresh, delicious, and definitely worth coming back for. Highly recommend.“

“Cute parklet shielded from ocean breeze on lower bench. Higher bench allows ocean view. Also tables and chairs outside. Excellent apple/ginger scone, everything squash scone. Sesame bun needs something on it which is an option. Bathroom very clean and easy to access.“

“Came on a Sunday around 10 am and waited in line for around 15 minutes to order. The interior is super cute but very limited seating so we had to wait a while for seats to open up.
Maison Nico had an amazing selection of pastries but my friend and I decided to get some classic ones- a plain croissant and a brioche slice. We both loved how airy and light the croissant was and the brioche slice was also amazing- it had a perfect sugar glaze and was super crisp on the outside yet light and airy on the inside. Both paired well with the lattes that we got!“

“Without a doubt the best breakfast sandwiches on thee planet! I have referred a friend who said “it’s in a league of its own.” I will start with the buttery yet still flakey buttermilk biscuit. When you take a bite it’s just goes perfectly with the bacon and egg. It’s like a party in your mouth! They also have amazing blueberry & Apple cinnamon muffins that are unbelievably moist! The banana nut bread is just as fabulous. I can’t wait to go back and trie a scone. The best part is they also made fresh home made dog treats! So you can bring your friend along amd not feel bad eating your treats in front of him. While he looks droopy eyes. Your dog will love them too! We drive out from the eat bay(Pleasanton, ca) just to stop by!“

“The chocolate babka was transcendent! I wasn't quite as enthusiastic about the chickpea tarragon bourekas.
Parking is a nightmare, as you probably already expect in San Francisco. But the shop is worth it - so cute and welcoming. The staff behind the counter were lovely.“

“The bakery here is at the elevated level of beauty, aroma, and taste. People said that good bakery can look like jewelry boxes. I am not fond of jewelry, but I of course love bakery! The marcipan, almond paste, and meringe in each piece of the pastry is rich and aromatic. The price point is reasonable compared with the quality. I now would love to try all other items as well. Worth stopping by to make your weekend more special.“

“Edit in response:
The muffin is great, sausage is good, egg is perfectly fine. But especially at $15 for a breakfast sandwich, the flavors need some brightness to balance them out, at least for the standard 'breakfast sandwich' option.
- Mayo
- Arugula
- maybe some tomato or onion?
- Other hot sauce (maybe a bit of a condiment bar?!)
I am nearby so I walk a few blocks home to add the missing ingredients and bring the whole thing together but it would be great if I didn't need to.
Original review:
Great (and large) english muffins!
Sandwich was good if a bit plain.“

“Crumbl cookies are famously large and incredibly sweet. While many of their flavors are enticing, I'd love to see some less sweet options introduced to balance the richness.
Peanut Butter Crisp featuring Butterfinger (4.5/5): This cookie delivered on its promise with a great peanut butter flavor and a satisfying crunch from the Butterfinger pieces. A truly enjoyable fusion.
Cake Batter (4/5): This was less a cookie and more a mini cake! The confetti cookie base was delightful, and the cream cheese-like frosting added a nice touch, but it was exceptionally sweet.“

“If you’re looking for Chinese baked breads, this is the place to be. Their bbq pork buns are so good that I’ve driven out of my way multiple times to eat them. The one catch is they sometimes sell at various points in the day which means sometimes having to wait 10-20 minutes for the next batch.
Cash only.“

“Cannoli was pretty good. Definitely not bad but not the best either but well priced for $6. Cavelli's has a better tasting filling for my taste and all around better at $9-$10 and is a bigger shell. But definitely a decent cannoli here at Victoria.“

“Of course Black Jet has amazing pastries and food, but what I really want to highlight are their cakes to order! I ordered my partner’s birthday cake from them (the Boston Cream Pie flavor) and it was incredible. I also recently ordered their heart-shaped Devil’s Food Cake for my best friend’s engagement party, and it was perfect! Everyone has loved the cakes both times. Both cakes were beautifully decorated, fun, and absolutely delicious. I highly recommend ordering cakes from Black Jet for any occasion. Thank you, Black Jet! 🙏🏾“
“We went straight here after getting into town and were highly satisfied! We arrived around 8:20 in the morning on a Saturday and there was a small line out the door. However, that line moved quickly and was efficient. The staff quickly greeted us and took our order and everything looked amazing. We settled on the ham and cheese croissant and then I got a vanilla latte. The ham and cheese croissant was good but be ready for it to be extremely flaky and get everywhere. The latte was good as well. Our main disappointment is the lack of seating. There is a bar top inside, but no seats, and only 4-5 tables outside. So if it got any busier (which it started to as we were there), you have no seat. It was also very pricey, ~$60 for the three of us.“

“𝕻𝖚𝖒𝖕𝖐𝖎𝖓 𝕾𝖕𝖎𝖈𝖊 ~ '𝖙𝖎𝖘 𝖙𝖍𝖊 𝕾𝖊𝖆𝖘𝖔𝖓 (Sunday edition/addition) Okay, this one is completely not my fault. Whenever I do my laundry (Hey! I only have enough clean underwear to last me a month or so.) on Balboa Street in my neighborhood early on a Sunday morning (gotta make sure I am done by 10:00am for any NFL games that might be watchable... "Go, Bills!" today), I will normally head on over to Butter Love Bakeshop, which is just four to five blocks away along Balboa from the two laundromats closest to me, to get one or two of their awe-some fresh-baked items (and sometimes a cuppa Coffee[1] if I had not already made some earlier at home in the morning). Anyway, back to the 𝕻𝖚𝖒𝖕𝖐𝖎𝖓 𝕾𝖕𝖎𝖈𝖊, this is a post about 𝕻𝖚𝖒𝖕𝖐𝖎𝖓 𝕾𝖕𝖎𝖈𝖊 (it sez so right in the d*rn title, after all). They always have some great baked goods from which to choose, and usually make them with whatever is seasonal, etc. If I do not see anything that completely catches my eye, I always get one of their Monkeybreads as a fall-back, which are very tasty all on their ownsome, anyway. However, this morning there were several good items that I had to make a decision which to get. I ended up going with a Pear Cuppie (they call 'em "Cuppies", but they are basically muffins) and an Apple-Cherry Scone. They also had an Ube Scone this morning, which I have had before, and knew to be very good, but Apple-Cherry always trumps Ube, Donald. When I ordered my Coffee, the lady at the front counter asked me if I wanted any cream or sugar with it. I gave her my normal rant, "Never ruin a good cuppa with cream and/or sugar!" to which I added jokingly, "... unless you happen to have any 𝕻𝖚𝖒𝖕𝖐𝖎𝖓 𝕾𝖕𝖎𝖈𝖊 cream to go with it." Well... the main baker-lady in the back overheard me and came out with a pastry cream bag-thingy and asked me if I would like some of the 𝕻𝖚𝖒𝖕𝖐𝖎𝖓 𝕾𝖕𝖎𝖈𝖊 cream filling that she was just getting around to filling the weekend doughnut special with... (No she didn'!!!) Apparently, I had arrived too early that they did not have the 𝕻𝖚𝖒𝖕𝖐𝖎𝖓 𝕾𝖕𝖎𝖈𝖊 doughnuts even prepared yet and in the front counter display case. So, of course, I not only took some of the offered 𝕻𝖚𝖒𝖕𝖐𝖎𝖓 𝕾𝖕𝖎𝖈𝖊 cream on top of my Coffee, but I also bought one of those doughnuts to enjoy later in the day. She even had to make it fresh-stuffed for me while I waited. Let's see Dunkin' Donuts do that kinda customer satisfaction! _____________________________ 1. They only have Mr. Espresso, which is a decent enough local Coffee. And they only offer it as regular Coffee only ~ black or with cream or sugar. No Lattes or Half-caff-caps here; it is a bakery, not some d*mn St*rbuckery joint. I forgot to ask what roast/blend they were pouring this morning, though. Mr. Espresso has their roastery over near Jack London Square. One of these days I really need to check out a mini-tour of their operations.“

“I’m not sure I need to review this place. The number of 5-stars speaks for itself. I just want to give a shoutout to the consistency of the hundreds of Strawberry Shortcake, Princess, and Neapolitan slices I’ve gotten in the 10 years I’ve been coming here. Decently affordable for the quality you are getting. And Thanks for the numerous holidays saves; I can’t count how many times the pumpkin pie was cleaned up at holiday potlucks. Worth every penny.“

“Ordered Claire's Crunch Cake through DoorDash for pickup, and the experience was equal parts surprising and delightful. The pickup location is actually someone's home, which definitely threw me off at first, but any hesitation disappeared the moment I met the team. They could not have been friendlier or more welcoming, and the whole exchange felt warm and personal in the best way.
The cake itself absolutely lived up to the buzz. The standout is the crunch layer, which adds a texture and flavor you just do not get from typical bakery cakes. It strikes a great balance between sweetness and richness without being overwhelming, and the cake itself was moist and well made. You can tell a lot of care goes into both the baking and the assembly.
This is very much a made-with-love, small business operation, and that shows in every aspect, from communication to the final product. It feels special knowing this is coming straight from someone's kitchen rather than a commercial bakery line.
If you are looking for a unique celebration cake or just want to support a local business doing something genuinely different, this is absolutely worth trying. I would not hesitate to order again, and now that I know what to expect, I am already looking forward to the next excuse to do so.“

“As an Oakland native, this is the best (and cheapest) egg tarts you can find PERIOD. They’ve never changed since I was a kid and the prices…it’s $1.75 as of 2026. The pastry selection is the same, the recipes, the grandpas drinking dollar coffees. Although it’s not as popular as the Napoleon bakery right next to it, the real ones know they have better egg tarts. It’s really part of the Oakland Chinatown history!“

“The bakery is located in a quieter part of Clement Street, and offers a really nice outside patio to try their goods. I had their famous koya toast, and it was good — especially their bread (made in house) that was perfectly toasted. It had a small line that ran pretty fast, and their store and staff are very welcoming.“

“蛋撻 I tried their egg tarts and overall had a good experience. Both the yellow egg tart and the white fresh milk egg tart have a very nice egg flavor. They are not overly sweet, which I really appreciate—the sweetness level is just right and well balanced.
The filling is smooth and flavorful, and you can tell good ingredients are used. However, the crust is where it falls slightly short for me. The pastry is more like a combined or pressed flaky crust, rather than the traditional old-style egg tart crust with very distinct, visible layers. It’s still pleasant, just not as crisp and layered as a classic version.
Taking everything together, I would give it about a 7.5 out of 10. If the crust could be improved to have that classic, multi-layered flaky texture, these egg tarts would be close to perfect. That said, they are still very enjoyable, and I would recommend trying them if you like egg tarts that are flavorful and not too sweet.“

“Based on the rating I wasn't expecting much, but after two months of going dairy free, these pastries more than hit the spot. It's not that easy to find this many pastry options in one place, with so many details on dietary restrictions. The berry muffin looked a little flat but it was moist and full of berries - delicious, the apple turn over had a good crust and filling, the pop tart was a little too sweet for me with the glaze but also good crust and filling. I bought the day old, 25% off items and they all still tasted great. I'm a fan and this was a 5/5 for me. Staff were nice and patient with all the questions. Thank you Mariposa!“

“Yummy Italian-style cafe and bakery serving a wide variety of viennoiserie , cookies, cupcakes, pies and cakes. Perfect to enjoy with espresso or coffee.
Ready-to-go Italian sandwiches served on housemade focaccia are solid. A simple Mortadella with Sun-dried Tomato, yum. A constantly revolving soup of the day as well as breakfast items make for a full-service cafe, with options for anybody.

“I was following Google map and got lost right in front of the factory, as I didn't expect such a small humble entrance. 😅😅
Inside of the factory was even more humble than I expected, but it was interesting to see how to make fortune cookies right in front of my eyes. You will be standing close enough to feel the heat from the machine 🤣
When you pay $3.50, you can write a personal message on a paper and the staff there will put that paper in a fortune cookie, which is so cute!
If you go to Chinatown in San Francisco, which is the world biggest Chinatown in the world, it is worth to stop by this factory to bring a little fun to your friends and family.
My usual experience of fortune cookie was dry and tasteless, but their fortune cookies were like Japaness soft senbei. YUM!“
