“A random, last minute find on a Friday night with no wait and can accommodate a party of two with an infant in a carseat.
Quaint and no frills restaurant with omakase. Our omakase sashimi order was about 107 dollars, a bit pricey and presentation was not very impressive but every bite was so fresh! Their miso soup was quite delightful, better than most miso soup I’ve had.

Kid-friendliness: We brought our infant in a carseat in, placed the carseat on a chair and tucked it between the wall and the table. I see other families with small kids dining comfortably there too.“

“Recommend getting a reservation before going. Service was a bit lacking, no welcome, and a bit rude. Luckily, most everything is automated. Food was decent. There was one issue with us not getting one of our orders but it was eventually resolved by staff, albeit again, not in the most friendly manner. “Good selection of healthy foods. Their beef is so tender . Fried rice is to die for. The chef Heli is so professional, very precise and amiable. Our waitresses/server , Maya, was so pleasant and attentive to guests . Next time I go back I have to try their seafood selections. My only complaint is the location . It should be out there along Stevens Creek like in Santana Row rather than hidden in that dark corner of the complex. But definitely I will recommend it to my friends.“

“I took my son to Sushi Jin for his 14th birthday as a birthday gift while my wife was out of town. We both got the Omikase, along with the uni flight and a dessert. The food was outstanding in every regard and the best sushi I have had (including Japan). My son loved it and enjoyed the experience (yes, he appreciates fancy food, as we cook with clean ingredients every night at home except on special occasions when we eat out). The service was excellent and each course was well presented and explained by the chef. Most importantly, the fish was super fresh with a variety of flavors. I will take my wife there next time we have a special occasion. Highly recommended.“

“Hamachi shots were insane. The tofu was some of the best I’ve ever had, super soft and fried just a bit for the perfect thin, crispy texture. The sauce for the tofu was also so yum!!! Crab was pretty good, though both the crab and tofu got soggy quickly due to the sauce. The o toro nigiri was honestly the best thing from this dinner. SO. TENDER. Salmon toro and Ebodai (butter fish) were also tender, but the o toro was unmatched. Honestly could’ve passed on the yellowtail maki, it was very rice-y but still good. Yuzu cheesecake was a great way to end this magical meal. We are moved.“

“First time after a referral and it did not disappoint! The food was fresh and delicious. The atmosphere was clean and modern. The staff were so nice and came by multiple times to check on us. “The food tastes great! There are a lot of options, so even if you don't like sushi there's plenty of options, like miso and udon. The staff are always patient and attentive. There are many affordable roll options, and the menu is decently priced for the area as well. Great place to go with a partner or a group of friends.“

“This sushi spot is down the street from my house and it's quickly becoming a favorite of mine. Granted I usually come in for lunch and order a bento box. I love the spicy chicken teriyaki, veggie tempura and California rolls. Their Chile. Matsu was good but I prefer the teriyaki. Their miso soup is tasty.

Restaurant is typical sushi restaurant size. They may accommodate larger parties with notice. The art on the wall is movies, action figures, and things of that nature

I haven't tried too much outside of that so I will have to order more when I go next time. I want to order specialty rolls. Will update the review after the fact.“

“The sushi here is seriously good - fresh ingredients, creative rolls you won’t find anywhere else. The Fuji Roll? Absolutely delicious. Prices are reasonable, and the staff is friendly, even if the vibe inside feels a bit cramped and could use a deeper clean. It’s a small spot, so I’d recommend takeout or delivery over dining in. “Ate here last month and still thinking about how fresh the sashimi was. I got the lunch bento with 3 options and chose; sashimi, saba (mackerel) and tempura. It came with a small salad, rice and miso soup. The total was close to 25 dollars and well worth it. The saba was grilled perfectly and the tempura was light, crunchy and not greasy at all. I came with a class group of maybe 10+ people. The students loved the menu also and the staff were so kind and accommodating. 10000% wish I could eat here every week. 1000% will be coming back.“

“A few super authentic Japanese Restaurants in the Bay Area. Main Chef Eric is experienced 20+ years. You can ask his Omakase (Chef Choice). Once you taste Mikado’s super fresh Sushi and Sashimi, it is really hard to find the satisfaction from other places. Their Kitchen Items (grilled items, tempura, and Udon) also absolutely good.“

Salmon Sashimi was so fresh and nicely cut, very generous sushi special - eel was great -- , gyoza fried perfectly, niku udon delicious.

“I think it's good to be able to eat a lunch box for this price considering the location.
They also serve brown rice tea for free. I had the lunch bento box with a choice of 2 sides, $17.50. You can choose sushi rolls or nigiri sushi on the side, but there's plenty of white rice, so I personally recommend choosing a side dish. Personally, I'm concerned about the quality of the white rice. There's nothing wrong with vinegared rice, but that white rice is a no-no in Japanese food. The female staff member was very kind and managed the whole thing by herself. I think there was one craftsman who seemed to be Japanese.“

Depending on the day, the texture of the rice can be improved and sometimes the offerings on the sushi train are limited, but the excellent service more than makes up for it. “This place has a good variety to choose from. I ordered rainbow and it had a strange aftertaste, which is probably from the crab mixture inside the roll. The rolls that my friend has ordered were fine and didn’t have that aftertaste. The fish was fresh, the food was ready pretty fast. Service is long, the waiter didn’t check on us after he brought the food for a while. Overall, it’s worth trying but service should be improved.“
