“Amazing experience at Corner Place! I forgot to ask for our server’s name, but all of the ajummas (아줌마) working there were incredibly kind and welcoming. The food was amazing and there was SO much of it!

Our server kept taking care of us throughout meal, bringing us more food, cutting things for us, and getting everything ready so we could just eat and enjoy. It really felt like being taken care of by Korean aunties. 😂❤“

Chichen Itza is a small, but confident showcase. There is consistent high quality to the food, which is artfully prepared and served. The dishes include delicacies such as: Cochinita Pibil, Poc Chuc, Relleno Negro, Agua de Chaya, and others. Humble, basic ingredients from the earth and sea, crafted into dishes possessing impeccable flavor and soul.

For those wary of high scoville numbers, the heat is restrained, but you can lay it on too and enjoy the wonderful flavor that can be harnessed from the Habanero.

As it is within a food court, and there is the intensely popular Holbox next door, the smell of ceviche and other uncooked seafood can be present. Finding seating can be challenging as well. Do not let this keep you from going.

Park on the street, and ignore the line out the door for Holbox. The food, and the people of Chichen Itza are worth every effort to come enjoy.“

The food was flavorful. My friend ordered the namesake quesadillas, and I ordered the jackfruit tacos with mango salsa. Double the flavor - we shared our meals. Yum! The portions were large, filling, and pleased my soul. What I thought to be a side of mashed sweet potatoes was warm, smooth mashed beans. Tacos and quesadillas on point. “Broth was delicious. The deep umami and subtlety of clam notes made the ramen stock special. Adding the sides they offer like, garlic crisps, were a plus. However, in my opinion, I felt like the ramen noodles did not give the dish its 100%. My partner said it was good overall and I am just slightly nitpicking due to personal preferences of noodles, which were too dense to my liking. I felt like the noodles took away the broth’s complexity rather than a nice balance. At the end I just kept drinking the soup. The chashu pork was tender and not dry at all.

Aside from the ramen, the appetizers such as the karaage, were crunchy and slightly juicy on the inside. The takoyaki was also nice as well.

Overall, the vibe of the restaurant felt cozy and modern, yet I wish they could have played some music to add a little more atmosphere. Service was prompt and quick.“

wow, i became a loyal fan of the cheonggukjang, which i never had before. The owner is kind, and it feels like we're being taken care of like I'm at their home.

i am not korean, and especially at that early time 10 years ago I was often the only non-korean... but when they saw me eating cheonggukjang not bbq, i got some nods of approval 🤣 One korean man came up to my table after i ate once and asked me how i know this soup because it's controversial with even koreans.

But i loveeee fermented foods. and honestly, anytime i was sick this soup made me better in a day. I miss living so close to it, i have to make special trips to go now.

“I love this pho spot! The ambience is great. The customer service is speedy and you are immediately given a warm welcome as you step in. The food is also really good (although I’ve only ever ordered number 4, the steak and brisket pho 👌🏽). I did try a bit of the shrimp pho when my mom ordered it, and it was good, but I’m more into beef than seafood, so that’s just personal preference. Definitely check it out. This was where I tried pho for the first time and it hits the spot every time.“

“Compared to other Sullungtang places around K town, their Sullungtang meat is more gamey and pungent, especially tripe mix soup. But a lot of OGs may prefer it that way for being more true to the traditional taste. It was still enjoyable but it's just that I perfer more clean and distilled taste, e.g. Jin Sullungtang in Cerritos/Cypress or maybe Sulga. Personally this was not for me.

Also summer radish Kkakdugi has a bit of strange flavor too, a bit dish-soapy. That's a thing with summer radish but this one was a bit strong.“

“Hole-in-the-wall place specializing in simple soups and soondae (Korean blood sausage). It’s run by an older Korean woman who doesn’t speak any English but is super sweet. It makes me sad that I hardly see anyone in there but I don’t know why since the food is good and affordable. It may confuse people that the sign says Golmok Restaurant. I’ve ordered the spicy soondae soup and the small soondae plate. I prefer the soondae plate because I think the soup makes the soondae a bit soggy and the plate is a bigger portion.“

Everything I’ve ordered has been excellent, and the Galbi and Seafood Sundubu stand out.
I usually dine in, though I sometimes order food to go. The quality has been consistently outstanding.
The restaurant is comfortable, and the staff are very friendly.

With so many great restaurants lining Sawtelle Blvd, located in the area known as Little Osaka, it can be hard to decide where to eat. This place is always at the top of my list.“

“I have tried so many Pho places in my little lifetime and all I can say is this is the BEST! This little hidden gem in K-Town serves a flavorful bowl of goodness. I’ve been coming here for years and they are still consistent with the great food they provide. On top of the Pho I also recommend the 4 season rolls which are very yummy and the refreshing and creamy Thai Tea. I always bring my friends and family here and our belly’s are always satisfied. It doesn’t get better than this!“

“It is your typical mom and pop's Korean soup joint. The atmosphere is like a cafeteria filled with photos of the past, simple and clean. It has a small menu, but the soup base is amazing. The beef broth has tremendous amount of flavor, clean, rich, the beef and tendons are succulent. The soup is not seasoned (salted) so you can taste the original beef flavor, and you can add the salt as you like it. The simple meal for two is about $50. It was a great find for us.“

“We ordered both the mul naengmyeon and bibim naengmyeon, and both were excellent. The portions were very generous, and the broth was especially refreshing and flavorful.

I didn’t realize it while I was eating, but I did feel a little puffy afterward, so it was probably a bit high in sodium. Still, that’s pretty common with naengmyeon, and it didn’t take away from the experience.

The food was satisfying, the restaurant was clean and comfortable, and the service was friendly. I would definitely recommend this place if you’re craving Korean cold noodles.“

“Glad Hurry Curry has reopened after closing their Sawtelle location. if you are new and don't know what to order, try the chicken cutlet curry and the Chicken pasta with Alfredo sauce. The curry is bold and savory. make sure to request picked vegetables for the curry. the chicken pasta is also rich and savory. both dishes complement each other without repeating the same experience. the portions are large so bring friends or bring home plenty of portions for leftovers.“

The food is good, love the honey sesame chicken, the prices are fairly low compared to any food location around the area. They're very generous with the amount of protein they give too. This was the place to go if you didn't want to spend money and now it's closing. Going to miss they're water too, it was nice and cool, perfect. I suggest visiting they're sister location in Ktown and giving them support as they're a family owned business that's been in the community for a long time.“
