“We got into San Diego today and stopped to grab lunch here. The food was amazing and the manager (could have been the owner- not sure) was so friendly and nice to chat with. He was really cool and gave us some great recommendations for things to see. The burgers were delicious, and the atmosphere was welcoming and chill. Highly recommend!Wheelchair accessibility: My dad was in a wheelchair for 27 years and finding a restaurant where he would feel comfortable going into was (and will remain) important to me now in his memory. He would have loved this place.“
“Just looking for a good burger place and STP was suggested. What a great suggestion! Great food, great service and the customers are even friendly! We were eyeing someone's ribs and they shared a bit of their HUGE serving. Deeee-liciuos!!“
“I thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere, and the tritipwas done just right. My sparkling wine gave my dinner an added touch of flavor. My waitress Ren was so polite and ready to serve. SHOUT OUT TO REN!! You're a fine person and server as well. You made our meal more enjoyable. My name isn't Arnold... But "I will be back" bringing more of my friends. My friend came from LA area and introduced me to this Woody!! So glad they did.Just thinking of the delicious food there makes me want to jump onto my car and enjoy another meal there. Reasonably priced, plenty of parking, excellent service, awesome food what more could you ask for.“
“Phil's BBQ undoubtedly holds the title of the best BBQ joint in San Diego, and for good reason. Their Rip BBQ, featuring succulent pork, is a must-try for anyone visiting. The tender, flavorful meat is a testament to their mastery of barbecue techniques.Another standout menu item at Phil's BBQ is their onion rings. These crispy, chewy delights are fried to perfection and generously loaded with onions, making for a satisfyingly crunchy and savory snack. With its unbeatable combination of mouthwatering BBQ dishes and delectable sides like the onion rings, Phil's BBQ is a culinary gem that consistently delivers a top-notch dining experience. If you're in San Diego and craving some outstanding barbecue, Phil's BBQ is the place to be.“
“The food quality and the staff's service are top notch. However, the pricing is way off. After spending $150 on two people I was hungry so went to H Mark down the street and got a pastry. I also ate a spare jerky that was left in my car. The tea was delicious as well.Next time, I'll probably go to the Korean BBQ in the same shopping center and the two of us will eat and be full for 1/3 the price.“
“Love the Q, the service and the vibe here. Liked the brisket and pork belly sandwich (aka The Smok’n J) so much, I came back to try the pulled pork. The brisket is moist, tender and has a rich flavor. The pork belly was crunchy on the outside, soft and tender on the inside and had a great flavor. Also had a side of corn bread which has kernels of corn in it (I like the extra texture that brings) and is served w a side of honey-butter.They make their own ketchup and barbecue sauce which is available to take home. The sauce is a cross between a Kansas City style with a touch of Carolina. I love it. The homemade ketchup is a great on the fries. A heads up on those. They come with either the house seasoning which is a little too hot-peppery for me, or w simple salt fries.I’ll be back a 3rd time before I leave town. Gonna have some more brisket. All in all, a great Q spot founded by a couple of brothers from the east coast who fell in love with BBQ in St. Louis and started smoking meat for us.Came back a 3d time for the brisket. Got it w 2 sides, aka “the Tv Dinner, collard greens and baked bean crack. All were superb. The brisket is moist with a flavorful and crunchy crust. The flavor runs throughout the meat. I didn’t want to use any of the bbq sauce bc the flavor of the brisket is so good. The collard greens aré similarly flavorful with chunks of shredded pork and a smidge of a peppery kick. The baked beans are sweat and barbecue saucy with chunks of meat. All in all 3 for 3 for the night!“
“So tasty! As soon as we walked in we were greeted. She was super friendly, helpful and welcoming. We ordered our food and dined in. So freaking good! Tasted really fresh and the flavors. This was a solid choice and glad we popped in. We will by again next time we are around.“
“This place has just become number 1 in my list. We go to so many different places in a regular week and the meat at this place is so delicious, they deserve like 10 stars. Plus the charcoal BBQ is another game. Best dinner of the month so far. People working were also super nice and attentive. The local was clean and the atmosphere and music is good. I'm definitely looking forward to come back soon. Good job team!Edit to add:I was here yesterday again. Only two days after the first time and again I can o ly say that it is going to be incredibly difficult to find another Korean bbq that can top this one. I shouldn't say this much because the wait might get even longer but to be honest it is realllyyyy good and I can't get enough. I'll be back in another 2 days.“
“Supporting local businesses is the heart of our community! Shoutout to OBMC, Ocean Beach Meat Company, for keeping our neighborhood well-fed and satisfied! Bobby, you're a true hero, working tirelessly to serve up delicious hot food and providing us with local and sustainable meats. Let's show our love and support to this incredible local gem! Drop by OBMC and taste the flavors that make our neighborhood so special!“
“Don’t let the 3 stars discourage you from coming here. The food quality itself is good, and tasteful, and would be willing to come here again. Although it can get a bit pricey real quick. The reason for the 3 stars is due to the staff sometimes forgetting certain items, but overall the service was excellent and fast.“
“I just love Nanays BBQ. The name and ownership has changed throughout the years but their food has stayed the same. They were the first one to introduce me to Filipino barbecue and now I'm hooked. I come here once every 2 weeks to get my Filipino barbecue cravings. The food here is always fresh and delicious. My favorites would be the lechon, longanisa, and all the Filipino barbecue. Whether it's a combo or meet by the pound they always give you generous portions here. The staff here is very nice and love to tell you about the food. I hope to one day try everything on the menu but for now I'm slowly checking everything off the list. This is a takeout spot so either you can take it home or there are tables in the food court. Parking is plentiful but can get busy at times.“
“My experience at the BBQ restaurant was exceptional. The food was undeniably great, bursting with delicious flavors. The menu's cleanliness and organization made choosing dishes a breeze. The service was top-notch, attentive and friendly. The ambiance elevated the dining experience, with a perfect blend of rustic charm and welcoming warmth. It's a must-visit for those seeking a delightful combination of fantastic food and a cozy atmosphere“
“The food and service here was great. Came here ordered the 3 meat combo and they brought out so much food that they made it worth the price. I came here specifically for Makchang and it didn't disappoint. Hope I can get to go back again.“
“Classical Texas BBQ & beer. Beef brisket, pork and chicken are provided. Beef brisket is fancy and juicy. But the thing is, price level rises so fast. The beef brisket+2 sides meal cost $29 pre tax now. We ordered that meal, and paid for $35 after tax and tip.“
“Recently ordered catering for a small event of approx. 30 people. I have absolutely ZERO complaints. From start to finish I was treated with kindness from both Brynna and the delivery driver. They were so helpful with the catering options and delivery availability. Brynna walked me through the different options and everything turned out perfectly. I highly recommend this place for your catering events in the San Diego area!! great food and great people 10/10“
“We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch at Jeong Won BBQ. Love that it is self serve buffet style (no waiting for servers to bring more meat!). The staff were very attentive. The food was extremely high quality and fresh. We got here right at 10:30am and there was plenty of parking but when we left at 11:45, it had filled up quite substantially.Highly recommend trying Jeong Won. It is now our new "go to" KBBQ spot. The owner, Sue, was very generous and nice and spoke with us for awhile.Thank you, Sue! We will be back soon.“
“First time here and no disappointment. The food is amazing!. I wasn't expecting to have to cook my own food, but definitely, a great experience. The service is great! The staff moves fast for sure. On the high end of prices but definitely worth it.“
“This is not only a great spot to enjoy on the weekends but it is an awesome spot to grab a drink and some snacks before heading into a Padres game. They have a wide variety of drinks including fun bucket drinks that are Padres themed so a great thing to enjoy before cheering on the Padres! They have some fun games to play as well while you enjoy some drinks. We came on a Monday so it wasn't too busy and the service was really quick. I will definitely be back before a game as it was a great spot!“
“We ordered a lot of food. The most delicious dish was roasted pei pu duck. Yummy ?. Other dishes like fried noodles were pretty big and well cooked. People are nice. The atmosphere was fair. Price was moderate. Sour and spicy soup was not tasty. The chef added water to make it good enough for 12 persons.“
“I love manna. It's my preferred kbbq spot. I love all the sides and salads and additional options. I love their table set up and how efficient the service is. It's seriously always a good time. I went last night for the 100th time and it was just as great. Jason was our server and he seriously crushed it. He was always around to get us another side, napkin, water - whatever we needed. Not to mention the music they play in there is a serious vibe for girlies who do the little dance when you start eating. It's a real vibe and as always - I'll definitely be back.“
“Attending a mixer function hosted by the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce. It was okay. I did try their whisky!First time for me. I learn from other people that the fermentation process can last couple years and not gone bad.Personally I can't say much of their products being it's my first time tasting it. I want to try it, cuz the night was freezing and I need some alcohol to get me warmer. LolThe parking was a b****. Luckily when I arrived there were two spots left!!! HehheheheI didn't try their food. Or was the food stands theirs?! No clue.“
“Korean barbecues are interesting used to go to one over in the Island of Oahu with my wife it was fun they had some type of a chicken that was amazing have been for a long time this place is a good check out I try it if I was you God bless you and have a great “
“I enjoyed this plate. It doesn't stand out compared to other Korean BBQ places. Definitely a great place! Don't have really any complaints. Our server was super polite and patient with us. They have a decent amount of side options but missing some important sides compared to other Korean BBQ spots. They have plenty of seating and good options regardless. I would come again but wouldn't be my first choice. Definitely not a bad experience. I would visit for your own personal experience. Great staff and nice people“
“Long wait, but open until midnight so it all worked out. Cute little two seater tables. Meat came out sooo quick once ordered. Not sure if this was on purpose or not, but meat portions seemed to be smaller for just us two. Which was nice because we were able to try a variety instead of being hindered with a few huge amounts of the same meat. Highly recommend the bulgogi.Service was great, dishes got cleared quickly to make space, wait staff was attentive and friendly. Seems to attract a younger crowd. (Parking was awful, but did eventually find street parking)“
“AYCE hotpot and Korean BBQ. They do both but the downside is everyone with you has to do the same thing since they split up the option by room. We did hotpot which didn’t come with as many options as you would see in other places but the meat options were fresh. I’ve gone to places where the meats come out frozen and have a bit of an off taste; but not here, everything came out fresh and tasted great. They give a pot split in 2 so that you can have 2 different broths, which I thought was cool. They also have free soft drinks and dessert (ice cream) options. Other than having to stick to one option when dining I thought the tables were pretty small which didn’t allow much elbow room once everything’s on the table. I’ll for sure be back to try the BBQ option.“
“Didn’t know this place existed until I stumbled into Sieu Sieu BBQ restaurant while visiting another store in the same plaza. No frills restaurant but authentic Cantonese BBQ! When they were chopping the roast pig in pieces, I can hear the crispy sound of the skin. 3 hours at dinner time, the roast pig skin is still crispy and the meat was perfectly seasoned (not too salty)!!!Also got a salted chicken. It was cooked just right, no blood still in the bone. Meat was juicy and tender. They also gave a big container of ginger onion condiment for dipping sauce. Yummy!Price is still a little cheaper than other nearby BBQ stores. Plenty of parking spaces. This is the place for roasted pork and BBQ items. We will be back for more!“
“I’ve been in the San Diego area for almost 6 years and this is the first time I’ve had a well prepared Nigerian meal. Although, there’s a bit of a wait as the demand is high but it was absolutely worth the drive and the wait! Would highly “
“Located on the side of Liberty Public Market in the beer hall area is BOPJO. I got the veggie bibimbap bowl. Huge portion and so delicious. The only thing I'd change is the amount of sauce. The rice at the bottom needed more sauce as I worked my way down. The service was super fast. And I will definitely try more items next time!“
“BULL is clean, friendly and most importantly, has delicious BBQ. I was a bit disappointed when I discovered they don't serve ham.Today, I had a smoked brisket sandwich with macaroni and cheese. It was very tasty. I had not been to BULL in over 3 years due to COVID. It's just as good, if not better, than I remember. They may not have ham but they do have smoked lamb shanks and smoked salmon among many other yummy items. I will return.“
“mind you i went christmas eve night looking at the list of food options available around us, but food was ready within 7 mins and they had it ready for me. I just wish there was more sauce on my BBQ beef and that I asked for extra to take. Katsu was juicy and well cooked. The portions are large so we had leftovers of both.Parking is tricky as you need to technically go into the lot next to it, but I just parked on the curb outside to quickly run in.“
