But my favorite part was the amazing quality of the service! We felt like we were welcomed into someone's home. Our server was fantastic, but so was every other server we saw. They seemed genuinely happy and proud to be there. They took time to acknowledge everyone, not just their tables. I rubbed my arms a little and immediately had the nicest guy come right over and light the heater.

“I tried the Bean & Cheese Burrito and it was pretty good! I would get it again, the beans had a good flavor and the cheese melted nicely with the beans, both red and green sauce were good but I favored the green, even came with a little bag of chips which were pretty good but they only give you 2 sauce containers. I usually add salt to everything but didn't need it for my burrito, the flavor was great as is! I'll be back, $7.87 with tax out the door paid with credit card and no fee for transaction and pretty quick service through the drive through, thank you :)“

The salsa bar gives a flavor and spice boost that suits your tastes preferences. The entire venue was spotless and the service was awesome.

“This is the best Mexican food in San Diego, maybe in California.

The food is perfect and the freshest in town. I love their veggie tostada so much! And the potato tacos and rolled tacos are awesome, too. The chips have a great flavor and their chipotle sauce goes well with everything and is not a crazy amount of spicy. Their Spanish rice is delicious. Veggie tostada, side of rice, and chips with chipotle sauce makes a great meal!

“Love Sombrero Catering! It is such a great deal to feed a crowd and of course, the best Mexican food so everyone loves it. And we didn't have to cook. We got party platters and they were a hit plus Sombrero delivered them for us. The enchiladas are the best, that sauce! We also got carnitas, beans, rice and all the fixings plus chips and the BEST SALSA ever! YUM! We brought a few party platters to friends over the holidays too. It is always a hit. “First time eating here after passing by it manytimes. They bring chips and salsa ( i prefer a picadillo type) its hot but lacks salt (for me) I ordered the carna asada steak ruce and beans combo for $21 the steak was cooked to order and taste good. It was chewy or undercooked like some places. The rice and beans had a home made taste and they serve food sized portions. I also had the bacon wrapped shrimp. These were tasty but a bit dry and overcooked in the oven. I had a margarita which i felt was a watered down slushy. And lacked flavor which i kinda of expected since this isnt a typical bar but they should blend and add nore flavor as after 5min its pretty much a watered down drink with minimal
Alcohol. My party also ordered the barbeque chicken which i think was baked and rubbed with adobo rub and it was a 5 out of 10 i wouldnt reorder. The cheese enchilada and other plates were good. Server was prompt and friendly overall a good restuarant and staff was nice. They have 1 stall each for men and women restroom. There is a bar inside if you want to watch a game id give it an 8 out of 10. The parking can be a challenge as they only can accommadate about 7 cars unless you park on the street.

“Formerly Sun Tacos I was introduced to this local La Mesa business about 9 years ago when I went down with my girlfriend at that time. It's been through some different names but it's still the same food with some minor additions over that time. Great food at a reasonable price with some outstanding customer service when you order food. Everything on the menu is going to be great and delicious and always fresh. Every time we go down there it's the usual spot to go when arriving and when leaving La Mesa If you're in the area it's a must-visit and enjoy some good Mexican food.“
