You are greeted warmly upon arrival; the space is neither large nor tiny. It is an open-concept restaurant (you can see the kitchen), and the place is bright and clean.

You order via a QR code, and the food arrives at your table quickly.

The portions are neither too big nor too small; I find them just right—whether you're really hungry or want to take some leftovers home for later.

“I had never been to a noodle house but my son brought me here. I was pleasantly surprised by his noodle dish. I've never been a at noodle fan but the noodles were so flavorful. I couldn't put my finger on it but it was so good!! Not too spicy, perfect blend of spices. I had the beef chow mein and it was absolutely perfect if you are craving chow mein. It felt like each dish tasted just about the same. The wontons and the spicy beef noddle tasted very similar in that the broth was the same. The dumpling and the beef weren’t season too much.

The pork knuckle rice was really good. I enjoyed that very much.“

“We love Burmese food. For years, if we wanted Burmese food, we would have to drive at least 30-40 min to SF or South Bay, so having Burma Spice in our neighborhood is a dream come true!

Burma Spice hosted our daughter's high school graduation luncheon on May 23rd and we couldn't have been happier! We had about 30 guests in a separate area in the back of the restaurant. Kham and Raymond were so nice and helpful in planning the menu for our gathering.

Everything was served family style. We ordered
- Tea Leaf Salad- the perfect ratio of fermented tea leaves and ingrediants.
- Samosas- light, crispy, and so flavorful
- Nan Gyi Thoke- the noodles were perfectly cooked, not mushy, and the curry was creamy and delightful.
- Basil Lemongrass Chicken- fresh basil, and lemongrass really made this dish a popular topic.
- Pumpkin Veggie- Nice ratio of pumpkin and other veggies, very hearty.
- Kebat Lamb- savory, packed full of rich spices, the onions add so much texture and flavor as well.
- Jasmine Rice

Plus plenty of yummy tropical cocktails for the adults.

They set up a little table for the cake, and some graduation items that we brought. They really went out of their way to make our celebration comfortable.

Everything was in generous portions, fresh and expertly prepared. My guests raved about the food and service. Some of my guests had never tried Burmese food before and now in their meal rotation.

We didn't realize that we had stretched into their rest period between lunch and dinner because they were so gracious about not rushing us.

I highly recommend Burma Spice in Redwood City for any meal or occasion. The restaurant is such a gem in our neighborhood and the service is friendly.“

“All the food we ordered is wonderful and tasty. The water is filtered. We had dumpling, baozi, Nanjing salty duck, smoked fish, chao-ma noddles, pork pickle fried rice. We loved them all, especially, dumpling and rice. The portion is large and price is lower than most in the bay area.“

“This is one of my favorite Asian restaurants in the whole Bay Area. The food here is amazing that I always want to come here and stock up since I don't live close. When I moved away, this is one of the foods I missed most. The bao dough is so fluffy and chewy and the filling is amazingly flavorful. The staff is also really kind and gave me a free soy milk with my purchase, and was very friendly in helping me pick out my order.

If you live far away, they also sell on Weee which I love. I think other reviews have mentioned but the store is mainly takeout I think. If I was a college student living nearby I'd probably come here every day haha! It's so convenient.“

“I was looking for a sushi place the other day and found Kai Sushi or maybe it found me. Let’s just call it destiny but hands down it’s now my favorite sushi spot. Service is amazing. The aesthetics of the place is great. The food was the best part. Every dish I had (sushi, gyoza, nigiri) was amazingly fresh, it tasted amazing. I don’t like eel very much but the Chard eel on the dragon roll was so good it changed my mind on eel. I liked this place so much I had to bring my brother with me for round 2 and it was just as good as the first time. If you’re in the area it is a must stop. Did I mention how nice the hostess. She was very attentive but had a great balance of making sure we were taken care of yet still gave us our space to enjoy our meal. I will definitely be returning and making this my new sushi spot.“

“A Canadian company I've been contracting with on a big event in Sunnyvale the past 2 years has held a dinner for all the employees and contractors at XLB Kitchen on one of our last nights together. We reserve the entire outdoor patio seating for our party and are treated to the most wonderful family-style meal! I learned last year to pace myself when they start bringing out the first couple of courses as the portions are huge and you'll want to try everything! Service is top notch, too!

“Fugetsu is a world wide chain of okonomiyaki. In fact, Rokko/Fugetsu has the first location of Fugetsu in the whole US.

Always a good vibe here and possibly the only place to get okonomiyaki in the Bay Area like they do it in Japan. Huge menu and drink selection with the shared Rokko and Fugetsu menu. I like the okonomiyaki sampler a ton as well. Portions are huge for this dish and everything else on the menu.“

“Big Bites is one of those rare spots that just gets it right. Both my daughter and I love the food here. Everything feels fresh, bright, and clean, from the flavors to the presentation.

Our go-to favorites are the chicken and veggie pho and the banh mi. The ingredients taste vibrant and thoughtfully prepared, and you can tell real care goes into every dish. I am especially looking forward to trying the curry next.
