“Josui is the most authentic tasting Japanese ramen restaurant I’ve found in Torrance. My personal favorite is the Abura Soba, especially in the warm summer months, but the Josui ramen both with and without garlic is fantastic. My co-workers go nuts for the Tan-tan men.

“Came for a quick dinner bite. Food was tasty and service was efficient. Easy dine out option for kids. Curry ramen is unique, and actually goes well with the karaage. Egg yolk in ramen wasn't runny. Karaage sando was tasty and a good value.“

“A small spot right on Venice Beach with about 20 seats—all outdoors, but they have heat lamps, so it’s pretty cozy. Prices are fair for the area at around $ 16 a plate. We showed up at 7 PM, just 30 minutes before closing, but still found a table easily and got served super quickly. The staff was really friendly! As for the pasta, it was okay, but a bit plain and nothing to write home about. Overall, a convenient and affordable option near the beach.“

“The Pho is enough for 2 people and it's delicious! We have had both the chicken and the Wagu beef. Also, the rice plates with fried rice and either Wagu beef or spicy pork is really good. We get one of each (Pho and rice plate) and share. We are quite full and satisfied when we finish! And the prices are very reasonable.“

“Been wanting to try this place for a couple years now. Glad we finally did. Excellent food, much better than any Jinya Ramen. We had a bunch of appetizers. Indeed, their Takoyaki was amazing, Howard Yang! 😍 We had 2 seasonal specials, the Spicy Crispy Shrimp Roll and the cold Tan Tan ramen. Both were fantastic, albeit a bit too spicy for me. Service is super friendly. We will definitely be back. Want to try a bunch of other things, including the hot ramens.“

There dishes could include more varieties of vegetables but if you ask they can accommodate but for example instead of drunken noodles just having pepper and basil leave it could include multiple vegetables like baby corn, carrots, peppers and broccoli. Great experience overall.“

“One of several new malatang places in the area, Bruin Bowl is not a large place, but they seem to have a solid selection of meats, veggies, noodles, and seafood despite their modest size. Both the bone broth and the chicken/fish maw soup bases are pretty tasty too. Excellent option if you're in the area.“

“Really enjoyed the dishes, ordered a broken rice plate (amazing), vermicelli, pho, spring rolls, Vietnamese coffee and flan (awesome). Everything was delicious, I would say the spring rolls were sort of bland so they should enhance those somehow. Other than that I'd eat there again and the staff were delightful!!!!“

“We had a great experience! I knew the food was going to be good as soon as the owner mentioned he also used to own a restaurant in Portland back in the days. And it was!

We ordered the green beans with tofu, chicken larb, crying tiger, tom yum soup, crab fried rice (real crab!!!), and mango sticky rice. You could really taste each dishes distinct flavor!

The seating is a little close together too, almost like you feel obliged to start a conversation with the tables next to you. “I’ll be honest, was initially skeptical by these Drunken Noodles considering how ‘plain’ I thought they looked, but clearly I didn’t know what I was talking about. Drunken Noodles is my favorite food in the world and these were hands down the best I’ve ever had. Incredibly light and aromatic. I will absolutely be coming back next time in in LA.“

“I've been to several Marugame locations, and I like this one because it is very spacious and in a great location. Service is always consistent.

That said, I'm glad that I came back to a lovely surprise. For a very short period of time, the Nikutama Curry Udon, a huge customer favorite was taken off the menu. I'm happy to say that it has returned after much customer feedback. Thank you to the CEO for listening to the uproar and for reverting the menu to include this dish again. There were enough fans of that udon bowl who were ready to choose violence, so I hope it returns permanently.

If you haven't tried the Nikutama Curry Udon, it's a must-try at least once. You will not regret it.“

“Been coming here since I’ve been an itty bitty boy. Always got pho tai and spring rolls and it makes my frown turn upside down. One of the cheaper pho places in the area and I consider it to be a deal for the quality of food. The service has been great every time I’ve been.“

“Food was delicious and prices were unbeatable. Seafood kalguksu was made with house made noodles that were chewy, and broth was flavorful. Spicy naengmyun noodles were also perfectly cooked, and had much more fresh vegetables than any other place I’ve eaten. Only draw back is they don’t have enough servers so service can be slow. But the food more than made up for slower service.“

“I love the food here, it tastes very authentic. Sometimes the dishes can be on the smaller side, the portion varies when I'm here (and I come usually once a week) but I use that as an excuse to get two. My favorites: rad na, pad Thai, pad see ew, and papaya salad. All excellent. Each dish is $10. And the warm polite smiling demeanor, just like in Thailand. They aren't here on Wednesdays, even though Google says they are, I made the mistake twice and was very hungry and upset to find them not open.“

+ Dan Mien with short ribs was good. Noodles were chewy, beef was well seasoned.

- Sesame noodles were terrible. Texture was similar to plaster of paris and taste was off. It could be that I'm used to toasted sesame oil and this was just (untoasted?) sesame.

+ Pan-friend dumplings were tasty. Texture was great -- love crispy exteriors and soft interiors.

* Daughter loved the boba tea. I thought it was just average -- fine but no outstanding flavors. Give me Sunright any day over this (or any other!) boba.“
