“The is was our second trip to NEP and was as good as the first! Both the shrimp salad app and the squid and mango salad were so well balanced and tasty. The garlic noodles and shaking beef were sooo good. Nothing was too spicy but really flavorful. The shaking beef was so good we ordered another one! The cocktail that night was a raspberry sour and too was perfectly prepared. For a casual restaurant, these guys really put out the effort. Oh, and the sticky rice/mango desert was the topper. Not too sweet and the mango was perfect! Will be back sooner than later. Well done NEP.“

“This is a solid Vietnamese restaurant in South OC. Everything about it is very traditional, the menu and food would be just the same in Vietnam. Got the Pho Tai and Oxtail Pho. Oxtail was nicely braised, the Pho Tai beef a bit overdone. Broth was good. Get the large for $1 more, the portions are huge.

“After a long day at the office, I decided to try a new place. Craving a little fuss I decided to go to the place down the street and loved every second of it with a few caveats. Today is a holiday so I think it's an outlier, but this place is relatively empty and medium size compared to the other places I've been to around the area. Despite this, they had a very expensive menu, especially with a lot of drinks, which is something I love because I love flavor in my liquids. Ended up getting picture below and a strawberry smoothie and a bowl of rice which honestly wasn't that bad for what I got. The highlights, though would have to definitely be the pho which is perfectly seasoned and portion cause I ordered the small with everything tasting very well and not muddying the rest of the flavors. I also love the noodle portions because it was just right and under, which is what I'm used to to around the area at points. I would say the one low light of my dish, despite portion of eggrolls as the sauce was bland that I thought and the eggrolls almost tasted burnt with the flavors of the meat and vegetables inside not really coming out as much as I would hope. For the value I would definitely say that this place is a really good spot to go and definitely will be coming here more often. I a few things could be better for one thing that I wish was a little cheaper was the rice but then again I'm being a little picky on that since I like eating with my meal so much so your mileage on that may vary. I know this thing I wish was a little different, but definitely have no control over would be the fact that the food came out a little slower than other places. It could just be that they're understaffed, which I understand in this economy so that also may vary based on time of day when I went and the holiday being a significant change, but overall the people were very nice and accommodating they checked on me quite often and I would love to come back here again.“

I have been to the vast majority of pho restaurants in south OC, and Simply Pho is by far the best. Accessibility, the broth, the meat and noodles are all great.

Every time I come in, I order as I’m getting seated and I don’t even look at the menu:

“A good place to try out so many different vietnamese dishes. Staff are very friendly and polite but the food is alright to me. It be nice if they put extra fishsauce on the table in case I want to put in my Pho. Try it out since everyone have their own taste🙂“

“Enjoyed a family lunch here. I ordered takeout since our kids were asleep in the car, but they woke up while we waited for it to be cooked so we asked to dine in instead. They were very friendly and accommodating to the switch, didn’t mind our kids at all. The ambiance was clean and quiet (not overly busy or crowded) with Kdrama love songs playing. Staff was attentive and friendly. The drinks were a very good value! Large sizes. We had the matcha latte and the peach lemonade and they were both super tasty. Two adults and 3 young kids shared the shrimp fried rice, one beef banh mi and one pork banh mi. We brought half of one sandwich home for leftovers so the serving sizes were generous. Macarons made a fun special treat at the end of the meal. Everything was very fresh and hit the spot.“

“Wow, I found my favorite Vietnamese restaurant in Orange County. Hands down tone of the best Pho and Rolls I have had. Shaken Beef and garlic noodles were so good. “Walked in and was greeted right away. Was asked for my order within a few minutes of sitting down. Food was brought out promptly. The large pho bowl was plenty, the flavor was great, the protein portions were generous. I was full when I left. “Pho Ha Noi earns 4* from me. If I lived in Garden Grove, it might be a 3* rating relative to the other pho places that abound in that Little Saigon, but for South County, it is a solid 4* relative to the others around. When I take my father, who lives in LWV out for pho, this is his favorite one. I usually get Rare Steak & Tendon pho or a Broken Rice dish with shredded pork and charbroiled pork. Both are always more than acceptable, but the one thing I miss is the fried egg on top of the rice, that my favorite Vietnamese place in San Diego does“
