“After several years of eating here I can finally say that I've perfected our family order. Appetizer: Dumplings
Soup: Egg Flower
Noodles: Chicken Lo Mein
Mains: Cashew Chicken and Broccoli Beef (honestly I told my husband that the Broccoli beef could be swapped for whatever he wants because he likes fried food so this will be swapped from time to time)
Side: Garlic Green Beans (these are the absolute most DELICIOUS green beans I have ever eaten)
The soup gets refills.
The food is freshly made and so yummy.
This is not fast food it's cooked family style and with flavor.
One of the few food gems in Montebello.“

“This place has an unassuming storefront vibe from the street, but when you walk in it just keeps un folding. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food is great and the servings large. I will definately be recomending this place to all if my friends!“

“Great food and amazing service!
Parking is super easy since it’s located in a huge plaza.
I got here around 11:00 AM and waited in line for about 20 minutes. The line was mostly filled with older people speaking Cantonese, which told me right away that this place is super authentic!
The Beef Chow Fun is super flavorful and comes in a huge portion.
Their $12.99 breakfast combo is also a great deal with a huge portion—though it's pretty much pure carbs! And the best part is they still let you order it even after the breakfast hours.
You also get free refills on the Hong Kong style milk tea, and you can even take it to go for free. The iced version is the best, especially in the summer!
Unlike a lot of other places where the food is good but the service is terrible, the staff here is incredibly welcoming and friendly. Highly recommend!“

“I'm so glad we tried this place on our trip. The lunch special was very reasonable and the servings were generous. I'm convinced we could have closed our eyes and pointed at the menu. No wrong choices here. The orange beef was something special.“

“Stopped by Bao Kee Cafe a few times and really enjoy their food. The shop itself is on the smaller side, so seating can be a bit limited—because of that, I usually just order takeout.
My wife typically places the orders online, so I don’t always know the exact dish names, but we’ve had a variety of their rice plates with different meats and vegetables, along with dishes like steamed pork ribs and fried fish. Everything we’ve tried so far has been consistently good and satisfying.
The staff are usually friendly, which always makes the experience better. Overall, a solid spot for a quick and tasty meal—especially if you’re grabbing it to go.“

“Their breakfast special (available until 11 am) is awesome. For about 14 dollars, I got one Hong Kong style iced milk tea, one huge piece of fried chicken steak and egg, plus stir fried noodle. Very authentic Hong Kong style. Plenty of parking behind the building.“

“Decent, compact, comfort Cantonese dining. Small extras were very welcome. Dined in alone with Charshiu & Heinan Chicken Rice for under $15, came with daily soup, dessert, and tea -highly enjoyed. Got Yangchow fried rice to go -meh. Overall, very good value for money. Would return if in area.“

“Food is below average as far as HK cuisine in the area. Hospitality is definitely the most authentic HK you can experience though, i.e. service sucks but that's authentic HK experience for you. Ordered ice HK milk tea and it's all sugar taste. Order seafood noodles and noodle is bland but at least decent amount of shrimp and octopus.
5 stars though as most people only read 5 stars reviews. And also I suffered, you must too.“

“Great place to dine at for authentic Cantonese food. Rice rolls were wonderful and at a bargain price! Overall food and service was nice and very comforting. Ingredients tasted fresh and wasn’t overly salted (just how I prefer). Will come back again to try different rice roll options.“

“The food was amazing and authentic! I got the lamb noodle soup; they make their own noodles, perfect chewiness, and the portions were big. I can imagine being a regular here. Only downside was they are short-staffed, only two people working, so if you come in on a busy day, good luck.“

“We love this no frill HK BBQ cafe. The auntie that works here makes you feel right at home, including the home-y flavors. The food is not over-seasoned or heavy on MSG. We thoroughly enjoyed the roast duck here, light and moist. Additionally, everything is well-priced so we look forward to trying more dishes next time. Oh, and like all good Asian hosts, they bring you freshly cut fruit at the end of your meal!“

“Came in for lunch with a couple friends and had a pretty good experience overall. The dim sum selection was larger than I expected, and most of the dishes arrived hot and fresh. The shrimp dumplings were probably my favorite, while a few of the buns were just okay. Service was friendly, though it got a little slow once the place filled up. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere and felt clean and welcoming. Prices seemed fair for the amount of food we ordered. I'd definitely come back to try some of the items I missed this time around.“

“This restaurant has good foods at reasonable prices. They have many choices on the menu. They serve big portions of foods. We ordered broccoli beef and walnut shrimps which come with a big bowl of pork meat/bones with vegetables soup and a big bowl of steam rice for daily lunch specials.
Waitresses also gave us attentive services.
We will come back for good foods and good services.“

“I love the Egg Rolls!! I've been looking everywhere for these egg rolls since I was a kid. There was a restaurant in Alhambra called Nams, it was my Grandma & Grandpa's favorite Chinese restaurant. My wife got the Mushroom Chicked delicious!“
