Parking is super easy since it’s located in a huge plaza.

I got here around 11:00 AM and waited in line for about 20 minutes. The line was mostly filled with older people speaking Cantonese, which told me right away that this place is super authentic!

The Beef Chow Fun is super flavorful and comes in a huge portion.
Their $12.99 breakfast combo is also a great deal with a huge portion—though it's pretty much pure carbs! And the best part is they still let you order it even after the breakfast hours.

You also get free refills on the Hong Kong style milk tea, and you can even take it to go for free. The iced version is the best, especially in the summer!

Unlike a lot of other places where the food is good but the service is terrible, the staff here is incredibly welcoming and friendly. Highly recommend!“

“This is my go to place for pickup and go dim sum. They don't speak a ton of English but they try. The food is always good and generally moderately priced. I love the seaweed rolls as well as the ham sui gok. Most issues you can't go wrong. If you want no nonsense dim sum that you can just grab and go this is a great place. They do have sit-down traditional dim sum style but it's pretty crowded and the place isn't very big.“

“Had dinner here on 9/24/26. The duck was delicious, as it always is. Also had a cod and tofu dish that was amazing. But I'm really writing this review for our server. She was the entire front of house, from serving tables to taking/packing to go orders to bussing her own tables. At the end of our meal she had 6 tables, including two parties of about 8 people (I didn't count.) She HUSTLED. Was service perfect, nope. Was she always smiling and happy, of course not. But she never gave up and she RAN from one task to the next. I hope the owners read this and appreciate what an amazing employee she is. Also a shout out to most of the other patrons who understood the situation and were patient. Big boo to the passive aggressive patrons who were the opposite.“

Sometimes all you need is a classic Hong Kong cafe, a table full of comfort food, and a game playing in the background.

We stopped by JJ Hong Kong Cafe in Monterey Park and tried their Curry Combination Rice, Beef Brisket Lo Mein, Baked Pork Chop Macaroni, Deep Fried Cornish Hen, Fried Chili Turnip Patties, and French Toast.

The French Toast with ice cream was easily one of the most memorable dishes on the table. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and perfect for sharing.

The atmosphere felt old-school and casual — the kind of neighborhood spot where people come for a relaxed meal, late-night cravings, or to catch a game with friends.

“Quick, polite service and carts move around. Dim sum 4 plus on weekends. Eight steamers came to 50 plus tax and tip. Servers get for you what’s not in the carts yet if it’s in the kitchen. 2/person tea charge. Lobsters for 16.99 are very small though and 29.99 crab deal also not big. Duck special is alright but is worth two stamps. Place is packed on Sunday and waited about five minutes for a table.“

“After coming to this spot with my partner, this spot has become one of my go to spots for to go type dim sum. They provide all the dim sum that you would find in regular dim sum restaurants including the signature dishes like shumai, har gow, cheung fun, chicken feet, etc.

Staff here is friendly and quick. Even though English is not some of the staffs languages, they do their best and understand pretty well.

The dim sum is as you expect from most places. Although this place is a bit cheaper than your usual sit down restaurant, food can differ at bit. I found that the chicken feet was a bit soggy and not fresh but it could be a anomaly from the order. The buns here are pretty sizeable and well made when it's fresh.

One thing to note is that there's a $1 extra charge for credit cards if your order is below $20.

Portions here are identical to your usual dim sum restaurants which is nice for a takeout spot. Super quick and convenient for a place that's to go and at a affordable price. This is the spot to visit if you want standard dim sum to go at an affordable price.“

We also ordered Singapore Stir Fry Vermicelli (soo delicious with that fire work flavor), Beef Wrap (crunchy on the outside with delicious fillings inside), Spicy Wontons drenched in chilli oil (yummm), Seaweed Fish, Peking Roasted Duck (my second favorite!!) I loved how fast their dishes come out by one so we didnt have to wait for too long. There was also ample parking spots at the dedicated parking lot next to this restaurant.
