“There is a God!! I have been away for years working in North Dakota praying for a shrimp burrito. I was in Balboa over weekend and got my Shrimp fix. So darn good! The best shrimp soze and taste anywhere. They have not changed anything during this bad inflation. Miss the salsa bar but they gave us plenty. Most great places come and eventually go but GM is still.#1. Thank you Peter and staff!!.“

“They have the absolutely best enchilada sauce around. They used this aged Wisconsin cheese that has such a unique flavor and it melts perfectly. Don't forget the house margarita 😋 I have been eating at El Cholo for over 35 years and have never been disappointed“

“Beautiful and delicious food“

“Service was fast, surroundings are fine although the parking lot is a bit cramped and don’t give off the best vibes.

With that said, the fire-grilled combo for $6.99 with chicken burrito, chips, and drink is nearly unbeatable. The burrito has pinto beans and cheese and was perfectly cooked. Chips were thick and crisp. Soda machine injected the perfect amount of sugar.

As a point of reference, McDonalds’s Big Mac combo is $12.39.“

“We had an incredible experience at Red O, and a huge part of that was our waiter, Isaiah. I was visiting from out of town and this was my first time dining here, and Isaiah truly made it memorable from start to finish.

He took the time to thoroughly explain every dish we asked about, offered thoughtful recommendations, and genuinely engaged with us throughout the evening. He also built great rapport by asking if we were celebrating anything when we shared that we had just passed our boards (a huge milestone for us), he went above and beyond and treated us to their tres leches cake, which was absolutely delicious.

Food and drinks were outstanding. I highly recommend the trio enchiladas, the queso fundido, and the guacamole paired with the fresh flour tortillas or the banana chips, everything was so flavorful and well done. The cucumber margarita was incredibly refreshing and the perfect drink to round out the meal.

The level of service, attention, and warmth Isaiah provided elevated the entire experience. I cannot wait to come back and will absolutely be requesting him as our waiter again. Thank you, Isaiah, for making our night so special and memorable.“

“Food was top notch at this spot here. I loved that we had the option to have a full meal here from starting off with soup, tortillas, calamari appetizer (super crunchy), fantastic lobster that was cooked perfectly (every bite is a great memory), and topping it all of with some yummy dessert. Honestly I can’t even think of how everything else was because the lobster stole the show.“

“This is a great beachside bar and Mexican restaurant, but the menu was a bit misleading. Their menu had a whole section dedicated to their signature margaritas, but there isn’t a price in sight. I got a strawberry margarita which was a whopping $30, or half of my bill. I could’ve guessed the margaritas would be expensive, but it would’ve been nice to know for sure, and maybe gone with a cheaper option. Nonetheless, the chicken quesadilla was really good, the location is amazing, the service was solid, and the margarita was delicious (as it should be for $30 lol).“

I just want to appreciate Gladys she is one of the best workers whenever we go there she provides an exceptional customer service/ Bar now we don’t look at the menu we just ask her what should we order and everything and every time she recommends something we love it.
