“Great spot for a poke bowl. Very private. Tables and floors felt sticky, but the place is otherwise in good shape. The poke bowls are excellent. The teriyaki is good, but prepared with the sauce separate from the protein.Limited sushi options, but well prepared.Very friendly staff.“

“The restaurant was clean and well decorated, we were seated quickly and Joe did a great job. He was attentive and great at making us feel welcome. The food was delicious, the price for sushi is some of the best I’ve found especially for the quality and service. I would definitely return.“

“The mazemen is really good, especially the Saitama one and for any of the mazemen it’s so cute that they give you a small scoop of rice after you finish your noodles to finish up the leftover sauce in the bowl. The shop runs on the smaller side, but still has decent amount of seating, including outdoor seating.“

“This place is added to my go to ramen restaurants. I ordered spicy miso, and it was a bit salty for me but still very delicious! I forgot what my family ordered, but I think 1 of them ordered the Tonkotsu, though I still think spicy miso was the best option. The line and waiting are not that bad. The only problem is if you go as a group of 4+ people during busy hours like dinner time, it might be a bit difficult to find a parking and seating spot. The staff is really nice and friendly.
Overall, would recommend trying this place if you like ramen!“

“Great ramen and sushi restaurant in a small strip mall. Plenty of parking. The restaurant is not big, but has a large table in the middle for a larger group and some smaller tables for groups of 2 to 6, and some bar seating. We were warmly greeted and could sit anywhere. We ordered two ramen soups, a truffle mushroom variety and a spicy beef version. With both, we chose them as a combo with gyoza and spicy tuna, respectively. The soups came quickly and looked and tasted amazing. They played country music, which was a bit unexpected. But still 5 stars for food and service. Overall, a place we have bookmarked for our next trip.“

“Great Ramen! You can either build your own or order or something off the menu and ordering off the menu is definitely a little bit less.
Soup was really good, although I think I prefer it with udon noodles instead of the yellow ones.
It was the perfect food on a rainy day.“

“An Evening at Kin Izakaya: Where Tradition Meets Ambiance In the culinary haven that our city embodies, Kin Izakaya emerges as a sanctuary of authentic Japanese flavors combined with the convivial spirit typical of Japan’s iconic gastropubs. It’s here that tradition and modernity collide to create not just a meal, but an experience worth savoring. The moment you step through the doors of Kin Izakaya, you’re greeted by an atmosphere that’s both lively and intimately comforting. The ambient lighting, coupled with rustic décor and understated oriental motifs, offers a welcoming reprieve from the city’s hustle and bustle. The soft murmur of patrons engaged in animated conversation sets the backdrop for an authentic izakaya experience. Kin Izakaya’s menu is a harmonious blend of traditional Japanese fare and innovative culinary creations. The tapas-style dishes, perfect for sharing, encourage a communal dining experience. From the delicate flavors of their sashimi to the robust, savory notes found in their yakitori selection, there’s a delightful complexity in each dish presented. The agedashi tofu, with its perfect crispy exterior giving way to silken tofu within, is a testament to the chef’s prowess in honoring traditional flavors while serving contemporary palates.“

“I'm not the biggest fan of ramen but I liked this one! It's a bit pricey (almost $20 per bowl) but that's SoCal! And the bowls are well served. They are rich in flavor. Be warned that there is a waiting system so you probably want to make a reservation beforehand. We registered in person an hour before closing and were let in within 20 minutes. I've never craved ramen before but I am this time!“

“This is my 2nd time visiting Meiji. The food was so good and I totally forgot to take some pictures and write the review on my 1st visit. Today I took some pictures and wrote this review. This place has best udon in town. I ordered 4 most popular dishes, beef Shabu Shabu Udon, Shrimp Tempura Udon, Fried Squid Legs, and Fried Chicken. They are all very tasty. Their udon noodles are handmade and the soup broth is so delicious. The restaurant has ambience of Japanese tastes of hometown. This restaurant is not very big but they do offer online waiting list. I would recommend joining their waiting list before you visit the restaurant. Definitely will come back again!“

“I got spicy ramen (the last one in the list) and it was pretty good. The portions are adequate, I didn’t feel like I was gonna explode, but I felt comfortably full. They have a lot of vegetarian options. The prices are on the higher side though, probably due to its location. Otherwise it’s pretty good.
Vegetarian options: Almost all of their ramen have a vegetarian equivalent, and all the broth is vegetarian.
Parking: There are a lot of parking on either side of the mall.
Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant is on the first floor and there are no steps. Access would be easy for someone on a wheelchair.“

“Siempre va a ser mi restaurante favorito. No he comido sushi como este en ningún otro lugar. He venido desde hace dos años en distintos tiempos y siempre que regreso es igual de bueno. El servicio es bueno, el sushi es fresco. Solo me gustaría que regresaran las botellas de salsa de soya porque estaban muy lindas. De ahí en fuera todo 10/10“

“Although Kokiyo is a small restaurant; the service, atmosphere, and food is amazing. I ordered a creamy broth ramen and it was the best creamy broth ramen I ever had. Both slices of the pork belly chashu were so tender it practically melts after taking a bite. Rather than taking the unfinished portion to-go, the meal was so spectacular that I had to finish it. Also the pickled radish is a must try.“
