“Food is good. They have 75 page menu, definitley can get lost in it. The cost on the Google serach is misleading. Most, if not all of the starters are > $20. The main course is also upwards of $25, some in the mid 30's. Portion sizes can be little more generous as the cost is high (IMO). The restaurant does provide complimentary dessert (not sure if they offer it to all the customers) our 1st time to the restaurant.“

“More than just a Bahn mi shop. Cali Baguette is an authentic Vietnamese eatery. Besides an amazing selection of sandwiches (btw you can actually smell the fresh baguettes being baked!) There is a multitude of snacks, drinks and desserts! The service and very warm hospitality are just as impressive as the food 👍 I will definitely be back again AND again!“

“This is my favorite Vietnamese spring roll place EVER. The combo #2 is my go-to. For $14, you get so much variety: traditional nem nuong roll, fried tofu and shrimp, soup, and the special pho roll (my favorite and so different, you can't find this anywhere else!) The icing on the cake is that the combo comes with a complimentary jasmine tea. This is the perfect refreshing meal if you want something light yet fulfilling year round. I haven't gotten around to trying the rest of their menu, but I definitely will considering combo #2 is my tried and true.

“Don’t order with your eyes because you won’t finish… trust me, it’s that good! They have to have the “best” Viet BANH CUON (steamed rice rolls) in town! Also the best BANH Mi Chao (Beef, sausage, meatball, eggs, and French roll skillet) for a great value too! I will most definitely come back again …and I live 30 minutes away in East Chula Vista! “First time visiting, and it was a great experience! We stopped by on a Monday around 4 PM. The first thing I noticed was how clean the restaurant was and the outstanding customer service. As soon as we walked in, we were warmly greeted and seated right away, and our food arrived shortly after.

The food was delicious! The shrimp and meatballs pho was flavorful, veggie eggrolls were freshly fried & hot and the Asian Sweet Wings were definitely a highlight. I requested my fries to be extra crispy, but they weren’t quite as crunchy as I had hoped. Even so, the exceptional customer service more than made up for it.

Overall, we had a great experience, and I’d definitely recommend giving this place a try!“

“My wife and I recently found this place and love it so much we came back the next day. We got salmon nigiri, pho, bahn mi, soft shell crab hand roll and tuna nigiri.

We were a little skeptical when ordering the sushi since the interior isn’t the nicest looking, but looks are deceiving! The salmon, tuna, and crab were very fresh, and the portions were great as well! The pho had amazing flavor too. We asked for the meat on the side, and it was very fresh and delicious. The bahn mi is my favorite in San Diego, everytime I order it the bread tastes like they just made it, and the meat seasoning is crazy good.

The owner (I think) is very friendly and kind too, and always makes sure we get our food quickly!

Don’t let the old bad reviews sway your visit, this place has delicious and fresh sushi, pho, and bahn mi, for an extremely reasonable price which is hard to find in San Diego. We will be back regularly!“

But somehow, it wasn't as good as I remembered it. Still good but a little too dry and too salty.

“The pho is really good here. It comes out piping hot and the broth is rich and beefy. The amount of noodles you get use to be adequate but seems less so as of late. The only big problem about this place is the limited parking. Their lot in the back only fit about 3-4 cars while the front shared space only has room for maybe 5. Don't even try to park in other property lots such as the liquor store. The owner watches the camera like a hawk and will not hesitate to call the tow truck.“

“Came here for lunch with my parents, and we had a good experience! The restaurant is spacious with plenty of seating, and the atmosphere was clean and welcoming. Our server was Tom. He was friendly and provided good service.

We started with the BBQ Pork Spring Rolls (Goi Cuon Thit Nuong) for appetizer and they were absolutely delicious. The pork was juicy, tender, and flavorful, and the peanut sauce paired perfectly with it.

For our main dishes, we ordered the Grilled Chicken Rice Plate (Com Ga Nuong) and the Hanoi-Style Vermicelli with Grilled Pork Patties (Bun Cha Ha Noi). The chicken rice plate came with a generous portion, and the chicken was tender, juicy, and well-seasoned. The Bun Cha Ha Noi was the highlight of the meal! The grilled pork patties were incredibly juicy, tender, and full of smoky flavor.

Our favorite dishes were the Bun Cha Ha Noi and the Goi Cuon Thit Nuong. Everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and satisfying.

Overall, this is definitely a hidden gem. We'll be coming back for another meal and highly recommend it to anyone looking for delicious Vietnamese food with family or friends!“

“Authentic Vietnamese place serving only 4 dishes. But if you like made to order banh cuon (steamed rice rolls), cha lua (steamed pork loaf), or best of all, gio chien (fried pork paste), you really won’t be disappointed. These simple items are much better than what’s available elsewhere because of the ingredients and because of their freshness. Yum!

Note: You can reheat the fried pork paste in an air fryer at home and it still tastes good, but when it just comes out, the smell of it is so irresistible!“

The veggies are abundant fresh and crispy. the pork is tender and flavorful and the tiny rice noodles are hot and well cooked. they serve it with large lettuce leaves that you wrap all the goodies up as a Vietnamese burrito. and dip it into a flavorful sauce called fish sauce but it is not fishy and does not taste like fish. Tops! Every dish is tops. and the soups are also fun to try. A fun meal pretty much describes the Saigon Restaurant. Thank you, Victor. He's the top cheese there.
