“Fantastic shabu-shabu experience from start to finish!

Shabu Shabu Bar in Santa Ana is an absolute must for me when visiting Orange County. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is lively, clean, and modern, with a great counter setup that makes cooking your own meal fun and engaging.

The broths are rich and flavorful (tons of great options), and the meats are sliced perfectly, fresh, tender, and high quality. The vegetable platter is generous and colorful, the sauces and toppings let you customize every bite, and everything feels thoughtfully prepared. The gyoza were crispy and delicious, and the rice paired perfectly with the meal.

Service is friendly and attentive, even when the place is busy. They make sure you’re comfortable, explain the process if it’s your first time, and keep everything running smoothly.

And the cherry on top, free ice cream at the end! Such a nice touch to finish an already great meal.

“I absolutely love Kiazen Shabu! The food here is consistently amazing, with fresh ingredients and rich, flavorful broths that make every bite memorable. The owner and the entire team are incredibly friendly, always making you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. I especially appreciate how the owner often offers free alcohol to customers, adding that extra touch of hospitality. I first visited when they first opened a few years ago, and at that time, it wasn’t too busy. But with the incredible food, excellent service, and inviting atmosphere, it’s no surprise that Kiazen Shabu has become so popular. Now, it's always packed, so be prepared to wait, especially on weekends and during dinner hours – but trust me, it's worth it! “Haidilao Hot Pot was a very great place for dinner. The service was very quick, employees were patient and respectful. Our server Jacob asked to reopen their kitchen just to make us some dessert even though it was after hours. He also gave us a complimentary food option in case they weren't able to make the dessert for us. The service is unbelievably nice. I would come again for dinner.“

“I never leave this place unsatisfied. The broth tastes really good. I always get the house special original and house spicy broth. I also find the quality of the meat to be good and consistent with the price you’re paying. Their strawberry lemonade and mango lemonade is refreshing. One area for improvement is that it can occasionally be challenging to get the staff’s attention. Otherwise, they are friendly! Highly recommended :)“

“Good food and very friendly environment“

“Food was decent, but I have had better Malatang places (YGF being one of them). What ended up feeling awkward was the service tip. I pick up my own food selftion (as the food is priced by the pound, based on how much I pick up) and place the orders myself at the counter, but the bill recommends tip range between 18% and 22%, after tax. I usually tip 18% or above in full service restaurants, but this one, I wasn’t so sure. Still ended up tipping as if it was a full service restaurant. Overall, four stars as it gets the job done, but food quality and services comes short of 5 stars.“

“The best shu-shi in town. Even though it's a Shabu Restaurant, it's rolls are the reasons we coming back again and again. The meats and soup are also good and plenty of choices of veggies complet the meals. Service is no complain either.“

The servers were very friendly and attentive; they helped make suggestions on ordering quantity, helped cook some meat, and made the dining experience enjoyable.
The new item we tried tonight was the thousand-year egg with fresh shrimp paste; the server came to the tableside, mixed it for us, and then helped cook it. We have always liked the fresh paste, and this new creation was quite interesting and tasted pretty delicious. For the soup base, we had the duo pot with bone soup and a mild spicy soup, but even with the mild, it was still too spicy for us :) Lesson learned.“

“Love visiting dPot unlimited when we are craving hot pot. They offer a great variety of broths, meats, appetizers and meat steamers (which consist of a square steamer basket filled with napa cabbage and choice of meat). The staff is always very attentive and the bar area is always fully stocked with sauces/condiments to prepare your dipping sauce, veggies, seafood and noodles. On top of the bar, they offer different types of packaged ramen. At the end of the meal, they offer a small cup of their delicious fruity slushie, which is very good to clean your palette and complete your meal.“

“Was craving for com tam so stopped by here since it was close to where I was. Plenty of parking and clean too. Very nice simple decor, clean, spacious, airy and well kept inside. Plenty of TVs hung around with different channel of cooking or food traveling shown. You ordered on the tablet that they provided along with a menu in case you can do on the tablet. Easy order and quick turn around…the foods look delicious and tasty plus it comes with free veggie soup - a really small soup that you wonder why bother. All are good and tasty plus good portion. I was impressed or really hungry that I cleaned up the plate, except the soup (it was so so). Coffee was good, too much iced. Overall not bad at all.“

I had the best experience at Tabu Shabu! I sat out on the patio with my dog and it was absolutely perfect—comfortable, welcoming, and such a great vibe. I ordered a glass of wine and started with the cucumber appetizer and edamame, both super fresh and full of flavor. The highlight was the salmon bowl with rice…so delicious, perfectly cooked, and so satisfying. The service was friendly, the food came out quickly, and they made me (and my pup!) feel totally at home. I think everyone came out at some point to visit with me and my pup. Highly recommend if you’re looking for great food, a relaxing atmosphere, and a dog-friendly spot for a drink and apps (cant do hotpot outside, but still worth it).“

“I normally don’t enjoy shabu shabu, but I was surprised with how much I liked the the quality of the meats and the ambiance at Miyabi. Maybe I’ve just been cheating myself by not spending a little bit more for higher-quality shabu shabu. I’m a fan of their crispy garlic. You sit yourself, choose from the menu, and order from the front. They will deliver food for you. You may need to get your own utensils at very busy times.

“Went for the first time last night as we are visiting from Las Vegas. We absolutely loved it. The service from both the servers and owner were subpar. The food and drinks were to die for, especially the food. We got to enjoy karaoke singing from the other patrons. The owner was extremely accommodating towards my service dog. He had a few questions which is normal but he said he had never had one in his establishment before us. Will definitely be back when we are in town ?? Lots of love from us! Parking: They're located in a medium sized plaza, and there's plenty of free parking.

Ambiance/Environment: It's very clean inside. There's a decent amount of seating. We visited on a Thursday night, so it wasn't too busy.

Service: Our server was efficient. We didn't catch her name, but she was knowledgable about the menu when we asked questions. Throughput was under 15 min after ordering. After receiving our orders, our server checked on us a couple times.

Soup & meats: My bf and I ordered the 'specials for 2' and went with the shared brisket set. The soup was decent; wasn't too salty. My favorite part were the briskets. It came with a generous amount of briskets. The toppings were also fresh. This special included beers and desserts.“
