Dimly-lit, medium-spaced tables, service is good but a bit overwhelmed when they're at capacity (which is often!). Parking is limited on the street but doable.

Have to say the NYC location is better, but honestly would need to do another visit to confirm. Distinctly remember the self-made hand rolls in particular being quite good in New York and not nearly as memorable here.“

“Easily the best vegan ramen I’ve ever had. It has a really rich, savory broth, which is a nice change of pace since vegan broth is usually a watered down afterthought at most places. It comes fully loaded with mushrooms and hashbrowns (??!?) but you can add additional veggies or an egg if youre feeling it. Very simple menu but they execution is 1000/10!“

“I’ve tried lots of ramen before and by far this is one of the best broths I’ve tasted. It was so creamy and full of flavor. I got the red miso ramen and it was great. The other ramens were also full of flavor and doesn’t have a water downed flavor. The staff was so freindly and nice. It gives a very personal and homey feel. Everything was nice and clean including the bathroom! They also give these free puff deserts that are filled with strawberry creme and it was a phenomenal ending. One of the staff even gave us free pocky’s as a small new year festivities.
This is definitely a lowkey, hidden spot that’s worth a try. Would recommend the ramen any day. I will be going back!“

“JINYA has some of the best ramen in LA, hands down. My gluten free husband loves that they have gluten free ramen, and true Japanese Karaage — made with rice flour, not wheat. So gluten free fried chicken fans, try the crispy chicken! The jinya buns are my addiction! Service is always so sweet and friendly, and we feel like locals or regulars when they recognize us. Don’t worry about the limited seating inside; the patio has great heaters — super cozy and comfortable. And I’m always cold, so you know they’re strong. I love this spot for lunch or dinner any day of the week. Truly a gem of a spot.“

I don’t usually go for tonkotsu ramen, but this actually tasted like a ramen place in Japan. In reminded me of the food I had there years ago! Ordering outside also reminded me of ordering food in japan and it even hands you a “ticket” (your receipt) like as if you were getting a food ticket in Japan! Absolutely love! The service was really great with it being relatively quick and very nice. I will definitely be coming back more times and even want to try their $30 Kotoya Ramen! There was not a lot of parking available for its patrons with only parking in the neighborhood or street parking on a fairly busy street, but for a weekend lunch, it was fairly easy to get a street parking.“

“I have been coming here with my family for years. The service is always great. The ramen is delicious. My favorite is the miso ramen. My husband’s favorite is the shoyu ramen. The gyoza is also worth trying, crispy and flavorful. If you visit, be sure to get the tofu salad, it’s so refreshing and tasty.

Vegetarian options: The tofu salad is vegetarian, but other than that, I’m not sure they have much in terms of vegetarian options, but you could ask.

Parking: It’s in a small shopping center with a small parking lot. The lot is often full, but there is paid street parking nearby.“

“Let's start with the service extremely helpful and very fast. You can choose to use the kiosk to or order at the register. Personally I usually walk away with the "build your own" adding an extra egg and green onions. Though no matter what you go for I'm sure you will love it.“

Sushi is a few bucks more) Comes with miso soup, salad, and steamed rice. I chose the salmon teriyaki, salmon avocado roll, and golden crunch roll. Fresh fish and hot soup. Overall 10/10 value and flavor. ✨️

Available through doordashz grubhub and ubereats this small chain biz has an incredible creamy vegan ramen, spicy lemon grass ramen, veggie spring rolls, tofu nuggets, shishito peppers, edamame, rice bowls, salads, soups and lots of traditional Japanese and ramen dishes that will please your taste buds times two. They have some decent outdoor seating, but incredibly indoor and a huge parking lot in back. The service is always good and usually very personable. A unique Japanese cuisine eatery with some LA Valley flavor and modern plant-based flare.“

Indeed, their Takoyaki was amazing, Howard Yang! 😍 We had 2 seasonal specials, the Spicy Crispy Shrimp Roll and the cold Tan Tan ramen. Both were fantastic, albeit a bit too spicy for me. Spicy Chicken Bun – Perfectly soft bun with a great balance of heat and crispy tendered chicken.

Broccolini Sesame sauce - Fresh and light side, goes great with Ramen.
Shoyu on Fire Ramen – Rich, fiery flavorful broth with just the right amount of spice (request for spice sauce additionally) complemented by perfectly cooked noodles. Vegetables are well boiled and fresh with the soup.

“Was craving sukiyaki - Yelp brought me here. It’s a casual mom & pop shop, 6 tables, TV playing kpop vids, no frills, just freshly cooked rice bowls and best $5 spicy tuna hand rolls in Hollywood!

Husband enjoyed his pork chashu bowl: perfect size and for $9 can’t go wrong! Satisfied my sukiyaki craving for $13: so tasty, so filling and came out piping hot. Also enjoyed their Thai tea with boba.

“We had a party of 12, the restaurant was very accommodating to our needs. My friend is a regular patron and celebrated her daughter's birthday with the party. The staff allowed us to bring a birthday cake and even put the cake on a serving plate! They got all our orders correctly! Food was tasty and service was top notch. “I had the pleasure of stopping by Jinya Ramen Express on Hollywood Boulevard, and I was really impressed! The ramen was excellent — full of flavor, perfectly cooked noodles, and a rich, satisfying broth. It’s an express-style restaurant, so there aren’t any seats inside, but I had no problem enjoying my meal outside using one of their tablets, which made for a convenient and casual dining experience.

The only downside was that the person taking my order didn’t seem particularly motivated, which was a bit of a letdown. But the quality of the food more than made up for it! If you’re looking for a quick, delicious ramen fix, this is a great spot in the heart of LA. Highly recommend!

“Hidden gem. Noticeably high quality ingredients and great service. Even my Korean mom, who is germaphobic and difficult to impress, enjoyed her meal very much. Will be coming here again.

We ordered the oyster/uni (!), the baked scallop roll (!), the chirashi bowl, the sea cucumber, and the spicy japan scallop roll. Everything tasted fantastic and we didn't leave a single grain of rice.

In my opinion, it's rare to encounter Japanese food in America that I end up loving. Every raw ingredient looked and tasted fresh. Uni here was creamy, the green tea was well-steeped, and the sesame seeds on the spicy japan roll were aromatic.

I highly recommend that you come here for a special occasion or whenever you crave extremely FRESH Japanese food.“
