“Went to dinner with family last night and had amazing experience. We ordered the spring rolls, lemonade, Vietnamese coffee, chicken pho for our kiddo and rare/well done steak for ourselves. Portions are huge, pho is incredibly flavorful, and to this day they serve the best Vietnamese coffee I have tried from any Pho restaurant in SD (and I have tried many)!!! Restaurant was busy (you know it's good when the restaurant be crowded), but they served us fairly quickly and staff were very sweet. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for great Pho place near Spring Valley Area.“

“This has to be my 20th time here and each time it’s always been good .. the girl up front does have a natural RBF but her behavior towards me has an always been kind. I alway get the pho fillet or pho tai.

I understand it’s always 50/50 .. but we can’t always except to be treated like a five star customer ..that’s not possible ..“

“Food is good. They have 75 page menu, definitley can get lost in it. The cost on the Google serach is misleading. Most, if not all of the starters are > $20. The main course is also upwards of $25, some in the mid 30's. Portion sizes can be little more generous as the cost is high (IMO). The restaurant does provide complimentary dessert (not sure if they offer it to all the customers) our 1st time to the restaurant.“

“the pho mai was really great, came with a lot of meat and toppings. the flavor was awesome and the noodles were very bouncy.
the rare meat pho was also really good, and extra noodles were only $2.
the bbq rice plate had a variety of meats, but i think it would taste better with fresh cucumbers and tomatoes. the spring rolls had a great texture but didn’t have a lot of meat.
the service overall was good and the server was super attentive. you can also get a free drink by leaving a review!“

“Wow, I would drive back to San Diego just to have this coffee again. Don’t let the egg coffee cream weird you out. It’s very delicious. It has a sweeter cold foam taste which matches well with the coffee they use here.
I do want to warn that the line gets long! We were in line for about 25 mins but honestly it wasn’t too bad. The inside is small with very very minimal seating. A good thing is that drinks come out fast so no need to wait extra longer for the treat.
Parking in San Diego is a bit tricky but there is a structure a block or two away.
Definitely making this place a must stop every time I come to San Diego.“

“It's probably the bedt Pho you will find in San Diego. Tried a lot of places, but this places broth tastes clean and refreshing. Especially when other places may make you feel kind of heavy. The price is also really good as well.

Also, the last thing I will bring up are the host, they always find a way to make you feel comfortable while waiting for your food.“

“My wife and I recently found this place and love it so much we came back the next day. We got salmon nigiri, pho, bahn mi, soft shell crab hand roll and tuna nigiri.

We were a little skeptical when ordering the sushi since the interior isn’t the nicest looking, but looks are deceiving! The salmon, tuna, and crab were very fresh, and the portions were great as well! The pho had amazing flavor too. We asked for the meat on the side, and it was very fresh and delicious. The bahn mi is my favorite in San Diego, everytime I order it the bread tastes like they just made it, and the meat seasoning is crazy good.

The owner (I think) is very friendly and kind too, and always makes sure we get our food quickly!

Don’t let the old bad reviews sway your visit, this place has delicious and fresh sushi, pho, and bahn mi, for an extremely reasonable price which is hard to find in San Diego. We will be back regularly!“

“The pho is really good here. It comes out piping hot and the broth is rich and beefy. The amount of noodles you get use to be adequate but seems less so as of late. The only big problem about this place is the limited parking. Their lot in the back only fit about 3-4 cars while the front shared space only has room for maybe 5. Don't even try to park in other property lots such as the liquor store. The owner watches the camera like a hawk and will not hesitate to call the tow truck.“

“Had their egg rolls with the rice paper a year ago from a co-worker who brought a tray in to work. Haven't stopped thinking about it.

But somehow, it wasn't as good as I remembered it. Still good but a little too dry and too salty.
Bahn mi was great.

Not much of a seating area so beware if you plan on eating in.

I asked if I could and the servers/owner said yes yes,and bought me a plate and helped me pour my food in a plate rather than eating out of the to go box. I thought it was very sweet! I was very grateful she helped me feel not rushed to eat my food. And she was right it taste a lot better in a plate than a to go box’s“

“I had two days of training nearby so thought I'd try it for lunch. It was really delicious. Day service. A bit gruff and business like by American standards but fast, efficient. I was very pleased overall. Oh yes a bit of a hole in the wall but so tasty it over came that.. really glad I tried it. Will be back.“

“Absolutely the most of the most! The veggies are abundant fresh and crispy. the pork is tender and flavorful and the tiny rice noodles are hot and well cooked. they serve it with large lettuce leaves that you wrap all the goodies up as a Vietnamese burrito. and dip it into a flavorful sauce called fish sauce but it is not fishy and does not taste like fish. Tops! Every dish is tops. and the soups are also fun to try. A fun meal pretty much describes the Saigon Restaurant. Thank you, Victor. He's the top cheese there. I'm so happy this restaurant survived the pandemic.“

“Authentic Vietnamese place serving only 4 dishes. But if you like made to order banh cuon (steamed rice rolls), cha lua (steamed pork loaf), or best of all, gio chien (fried pork paste), you really won’t be disappointed. These simple items are much better than what’s available elsewhere because of the ingredients and because of their freshness. Yum!

Note: You can reheat the fried pork paste in an air fryer at home and it still tastes good, but when it just comes out, the smell of it is so irresistible!“

“My family of 4 had dinner at Pho Convoy last night. Simon is just incredible. My husband put too much chili oil in my daughter’s pho leaving it inedible for her. We were ready to order another bowl but Simon stopped us a from doing that, he took her bowl, tossed the spicy broth and gave her new broth. Very sweet and great customer service.
We also had the egg rolls and chicken vermicelli. All very flavorful and filling. The place isn’t fancy, but it’s cozy.

“My Breakfast style Banh mi, was $8.50 and I got a Free (Orange Colored) Thai Tea! 2 Can eat for under $20!!
The sandwich was yummy and so was the drink. I think there is new ownership but we were able to sit down and eat in the Cool air conditioned atmosphere.“
