“I had heard amazing things about this winery from other locals in Sonoma, but finally decided to check it out for myself! Laura was amazing in helping me select/book our tasting, as they have so many incredible options. We decided to book the ‘soaring’ experience, which included the most delicious, unique, flavorful food and wine pairings. I am truly still dreaming about every food pairing we had, I felt like I was in a Michelin star restaurant. The curry was definitely the star of the show for me, but every single bite/sip we had was truly exceptional.
Allie warmly welcomed us to the winery and made sure to encourage us to enjoy the (STUNNING) grounds both before and after our tasting, while handing us a delicious glass of bubbles to enjoy.
Taryn and Michael were the most personable, knowledgable hosts- we really enjoyed learning about the wines/winery, but also just talking and laughing with them. We never had empty glasses or had to wait for service- they were perfectly attentive while still giving us space to enjoy our experience.
The entire staff was very generous during our visit, including a few extra tastings of their personal favorite wines. I really appreciate that they invite every type of experience you could want- whether that be enjoying a bottle with friends while playing a board game, or treating yourself to a special food and wine pairing experience- all at a very welcoming price.

“It's always a blast stumbling upon a hidden gem in Sonoma County's endless parade of top-notch eateries – and Windsor doesn't skimp on the good stuff. After getting the lowdown from pals and the ever-reliable Sonoma County Foodies group on Facebook, we roped in some close friends who are basically walking encyclopedias on grub and vino to tag along for the ride at Grata. Man, were we in for a treat – no letdowns here! The grub was spot-on Italian with that Cali twist, and the staff? Total pros, always one step ahead without hovering like awkward shadows. Barbie (my better half) and I kicked things off with the Caesar salad – crisp, zesty, and zero regrets. Then came the grilled octopus, tender as can be and grilled to perfection without turning into a rubbery disaster. We split the goat cheese raviolis, which were dreamy... until I realized they snuck in truffles. My bad for not reading the fine print – those things taste like fancy soap to me! If you're one of those poor souls who thinks cilantro is the devil's herb (raises hand), you'll get my wide-eyed surprise. Lesson learned: scan for sneaky ingredients next time. We wrapped up with a slice of cheesecake that was solid, if not earth-shattering – hey, can't win ‘em all, but it hit the sweet spot after that feast. Our buddies brought a killer bottle of Bacigalupi Winery's Fondare red blend, which paired like a dream and had us all toasting to more nights like this. Grata's got that cozy neighborhood vibe nailed – we'll be back for round two, hopefully truffle-free!”

“The Martinelli Vineyards and Winery has some nice, well priced wine. We came across Martinelli while we were looking for a place called Woodhead, and were pleasantly surprised that somewhere we just drove up to had such great wines. Give them a try, you won’t be disappointed.”

“I asked someone at a nearby business where I could find good Mexican food nearby and they suggested Martin's Taqueria. I'm sure glad they did. I had the Carne Asada plate with my choice of black beans. It had a generous amount of delicious perfectly seasoned meat cooked with just the right amount of char. The garnish was fresh and crisp and it came with sour cream and guacamole. My friend had the vegetarian Super burrito and was also impressed with his meal. I'll definitely come again when I'm in the area.”

“I called in a pizza to pick up. First time getting a pizza here. They were so helpful and nice on the phone. I wasn't sure what to get. Asked if they have stuffed crust, THEY DO! I got an all-meat stuffed crust and it was ready so fast but cooked perfectly. The girl got my pizza and was super nice and friendly too. The restaurant was nice and clean, everything looked shiny and welcoming. The pizza was so good, lots of toppings, soft melty cheese and they gave me lots of parm and peppers, so I was a happy girl! Even have leftovers for lunch tomorrow, so much pizza!! Yum”

“The restaurant is usually pretty busy but we’re usually always seated without any sort of wait. (It can get pretty loud though if that’s something your sensitive to). Food is good, served quickly, and servers check on you regularly. The prices are also decent. Parking lot can fill up, but doesn’t seem to happen often.”

“I have been ordering from this specific Mountain Mike’s in Windsor since 2022. They simply make the best pizza. The dough is think and tasty and the toppings are plentiful. And their customer service is top notch, not that I have had to use it much.”

Daniel (Pen-for-Rent owner): "Five years after Tisza -- pronounced TEE-sa, one of our all-time favorite restaurants -- left its former location in Windsor, my wife and I finally checked out its beautiful new home in Healdsburg. To our delight, we found that Chef Krisztian Karkus and his wife Alena (who has now moved out of the back of the house to charm guests as a friendly, attentive hostess/waitress) have made their restaurant's tastefully appointed new incarnation even better than we remembered it. What makes Tisza special is not just the wonderful food, drink and ambience but the sprinkling of rare (in California Wine Country) offerings on its menu, including mouthwatering Central and East European delights -- schnitzels, goulash, spaetzle, potato dumplings, wild mushrooms and, OH YES!, apple strudel -- reflecting the couple's background (he's Hungarian and she's Czech). While we didn't manage to sample everything that tempted us in this first of what will surely be many return visits, we'd be remiss if we didn't single out for high praise the house-smoked salmon with dill mustard sauce, pickled mustard seed and crème fraiche served over potato latkes. We think this fabulous starter might be more aptly named "salmon ambrosia." (If anyone can transform a fish into food for the gods, Krisztian's your guy!) “Savor Vietnamese Cuisine and Boba Tea is in the Lakewood Village area of Windsor. We have eaten here a few times, both in the restaurant and gotten out food to go. The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating, which is really convenient! The area has plenty of parking so that is another positive about this restaurant.

Everyone that works here is so friendly and welcoming! I absolutely love the Crispy Organic Tofu Banh Mi Sandwich. It's my absolute favorite! With that being said, I have tried several other entrees here as well and love them all! The portions are generous and the food is delicious! All of the ingredients are really fresh!

I also ordered the Lychee Peachee Tea and it was delicious and refreshing! They have lots of different teas to choose from! Will definitely be coming back in the future! It's so nice to have this restaurant in Windsor!”
