“I am a Miami to Alaska transplant and seek out great Cuban food and cafe’ whenever I travel. Castro’s is the real deal!! The Cuban Cafe’ is spot on and the French Toast with the Rum Sauce is off the charts!! Enough food to feed two! The owner is friendly & engaging as is the staff. Stop in, grab a Cafe’ and chill on the sidewalk seating while your breakfast is created..I say created because it is a true work of art…at least in my professional opinion.“

“Beautiful and peaceful place surrounded by nature. The huge banyan tree is stunning and adds to the calm vibe. The vegetarian restaurant serves food buffet-style, and you pay by weight. “What a great burger!! We were so lucky to find them, they’re in almost hidden spot. The order their arugula burger, but I added mushroom to it, it was unreal.
The amount of meat that you get is so good. She was even mindful of my pregnancy, and though I forgot to tell her go for fully cooked she came out and asked me how I would like the Patty to be cooked.“

“This is, hands down, the best restaurant in Hawaii. My wife and I first came here two years ago right after I proposed—it also happened to be her birthday—and we’ve made it our annual tradition to return for her birthday ever since.

“My husband was in search of some good fish in Waikiki. We stumbled upon this place and decided to give it a try. I’m not a seafood person so I got the chicken pasta and he tried snapper for the first time. Both of us were blown away by how tasty everything was. The portions were huge too! Out of all the places we had been to during our trip, this place is at the top. Even as a non fish eater, I loved it! There can be a wait, but it is well worth it. Try it, you’ll love it.“

“This has been our go to brunch spot for the last several years. The food is amazing - the Oscar Benedict (crab/corned beef) is one of our favorites! The coffee w/cookies and especially having the milk/cream warmed is the perfect way to start the day. The peaceful atmosphere with its view of the blue ocean and Fort DeRussy park makes this a truly special place. Most of all, the staff is amazing… Summer, Feliciana, Chris, everyone! “Sushi Sho is truly one of my favorite omakase experiences anywhere in the world. I’ve had sushi in Japan, Korea, and across the U.S., and this place still stands out as one of the very best. I’ve already visited four times in the past six months.

Reservations are very difficult to get because the full experience is at the chef’s counter, and there are only a limited number of seats. But once you sit down and start the meal, you immediately understand why it’s so sought after.

The ingredients are exceptionally fresh, and every piece is prepared with incredible care and precision. Each visit has been memorable and honestly a little emotional in the best way. My personal favorite is the ankimo, which is absolutely outstanding.

I loved it so much that I ended up bringing my whole family here as well. If you appreciate true omakase, this place is something special and absolutely worth the effort to reserve.“

The food is made fresh and replaced often due to the foot traffic. It taste amazing and the price is right. It’s not super pricey and it taste so good. It’s grab and go and there’s tables outside. Perfect to get picnic snacks.“
