“I went to Lilikoi Kitchen with a dear friend for brunch over the weekend and was very pleasantly surprised! We were immediately greeted by Laura who told us about the history of the restaurant and the chef’s dream of owning a cafe, and then introduced us to all of the staff there at the time. She listened to my dietary restrictions and helped me select something that I could eat and would love. Everything we ate and drank (PSL was so good, much better than Starbucks) was exceptional. If they started offering mimosas they would be the perfect ladies brunch locale! We will definitely be back.“

“9/7/24 - This place is absolutely beautiful and awesome. The owner and staff are extremely friendly and helpful. They all have great pride in their work and in the business. I have seen so many businesses in this day and age where the staff do not seem to care about anything but that is not the case here. This is one of those small businesses that help make a difference. I always feel great walking out of here. Our dogs really love it as well. They start getting excited when we are about a block away because they know where we are going. I simply cannot say enough about what the owner has built here. Great job!“

“This is a solid takeout spot with good poke. There are spots to sit and eat outside. Make sure you ask about their ingredients. I discovered peanuts in their Thai basil poke after I started eating it and sharing with my son who has a peanut allergy. We had to rush to get some allergy meds afterwards so be careful.“

“A huge improvement over our last visit about 2 years ago(?). We ordered the same items for comparison and enjoyed them. The grape bruschetta and hummus plate were delicious. Our server was Rocky (I think) great, enthusiastic service though it looked like she had most of the tables, she managed. We've always called this the “smoky green place” because of the ventilation. It seemed a little better but has a way to go.“

“This bar is a good street side location, and has an excellent happy hour special each day of the week. You can’t beat the happy hour special prices, $12 for a draft beer and burger/tacos/pulled pork etc. depending on the day, the pulled pork is my favorite. Excellent draft selection of local beers. Dog friendly lanai. Staff are also very friendly. Our favorite place for happy hour in Kailua.“

“Went in asking what I should have for period cramps, and she instantly gave me some helpful options. she whipped me up some tea, and added some turmeric even though it wasn't in the recipe I chose because it would help with inflammation. She was friendly and the tea was soothing.“

“Ordered Teh C...and Kopi and Kaya toast. the teh c taste like some regulat tea bag with just some.hot water poured into it. does not even taste like any teh from the singapore kopitiam. the kopi too.. the girl with the nose ring also forgot about out Kaya toast until I went to ask about it after 15 mins later. One of the girls did gave us a free croissant for that. I don't know why the girl keep saying teh Tarik when I ordered Teh C, had to confirm again and again.kaya toast tasted correct though.“

“It's a diner-like restaurant where only locals seem to be there, but the staff are very friendly and you can get refills of drinks as much as you like, but when I tried to go without refills, they put my drink in a take-out container. .“

We at outside were able to look at Ko'olau during our dinner. All the food we ordered was great. My Chirashi deluxe finally came out after everyone else had finished their meals. The shrimp rolls are well balanced- fresh ingredients and a rich peanut sauce with lots of dynamic flavors.

The Lemongrass Beef Banh Mi was stellar! Tender meat with LOTS of flavor, fantastic bread and a fresh veg slaw with some sweetness and acidity.

The pork satay was full of flavor and a lot of food!

We also tried the Chef’s Special salmon crostini was the best we ever had. The pork Bao buns is to die for!!!! 10/10 for all the food . The drinks were very good also . We will definitely come back . “Food was a solid 4/5; big portions and really good. My wife got the garlic chicken and I got the teri chicken. Only complaint would be that the chicken was close to 50% skin. Everything was delicious and very fresh. Service was streamlined, no smiles but very efficient.“
