“One of the best Mediterranean food in Boise even the best! We had 2 plates: one is called Mushakal that includes chicken Shawarma, chicken taouk style (skewers) , hummus dip and salad! Second plate is called Ishtar which includes falafel, lamb kebab, chicken taouk, hummus dip and salad! Both were so delicious and both were served with rice spiced with Safran! Finally we had delicious baklava that was so tasty! I'm sure going back there! Very friendly owner and staff! Nice atmosphere! Fair prices! They have also a shop where you can buy Mediterranean grocery items, bread and other items! It is highly recommended!!!”

Brunch should be a relaxing atmosphere, not feeling like you are at a night club….”

“One of favorite places too dine. Sorry no pics. Never think of it until too late. I had the Pho with short ribs. First time ordering. I usually try something different each time. The short rib melted in your mouth. It is a fusion Asian establishment so aside from sounding contradictory, it isn’t what I would consider authentic Pho. If you don’t smell like pho for a day or two, than I consider it American friendly. 🤓. It was still delicious and fresh ingredients. My wife has her staple Kao Sao (so?). Very tasty. The fresh rolls were also extremely fresh. Toffey (sp?) our hostess was awesome. She spent time with us discussing the menu and the chefs talents which we know first hand. Emily, our waitress was attentive and prompt and provided excellent service. We have never had a bad meal or service here.”

Our main dishes included the cacciuco (seafood stew), tagliatelle with bolognese and tortioli pasta with hazelnut pesto, carmelized pearl onions and local roasted assorted mushrooms. For dessert we shared the chocolate tiramisu. Everything was outstanding and the service was excellent. Definitely would recommend!”

“California Mexican Food ⭐️⭐️⭐️ I tried this Boise fast food Mexican restaurant today for the first time. I got the #18 combo, which is 2 Chile Rellenos, Rice & Beans with tortillas for a little less than $10. I went through the drive-through. The service was fast. I was impressed with the weight of the bag. I was even more impressed when I got back to my office and opened up the box. The food looked fantastic! I liked that the Chile Rellenos came with sour cream and a guacamole-like topping. They were made with nice sized poblano chilies. The flavor was good, and they were full of oozing cheese. If I was to rate these based on appearance and flavor, alone, I would rate them 4/5. However, the seeds were not removed from the poblano chilies before cooking them. Every single recipe I’ve seen for Chile Rellenos instructs you to remove the seeds. You don’t realize why that’s important until you get one with seeds. Eating a bunch of hard plant matter along with one’s Chile Relleno is not a pleasant experience. I’m not sure if this was a one off, or if this is how they normally prepare Chile Rellenos at California Mexican Food. The refried beans looked good, but they tasted sour. The rice was OK. I like that the meal comes with your choice of corn or flour tortillas. I chose flour. The tortillas seemed thick and homemade.”

Service was fantastic as well. Sake selection is on point. Not huge, but good quality. I like that they have a little picture guide at the place settings so you can figure out what the sushi bros have given you. Menu does a good job of explaining things as well for those who may not know all the proper sushi/sashimi names. The sushi rice was really well seasoned and the pieces were large. Hospitality was super as well! Really great experience and I highly recommend! Wish I had taken some photos, but I’ve already eaten everything up! Ordered the sushi and sashimi for 1 and aged tofu. Everything was excellent.”

“The food is very good. We have tried pizza and salads and both were fresh and very tastey. The on-line ordering is horrible. Yesterday we placed a to go order at 3 pm and was told that it would not be ready to pick up until 7 pm, 4 hours later. That is not unusual and sometimes they stop on-line ordering several hours before closing. They either need more ovens, a better system or discontinue take out orders because on-line ordering for take out is very frustrating and annoying.”

“Mother Earth Brewing in downtown Boise is a great find — relaxed, lively, and full of local charm. We discovered it while searching for the best breweries in Boise and were glad we did. The spacious outdoor patio offers plenty of seating and a welcoming vibe, perfect for enjoying a beer or even fantastic pizza from the on-site food truck, which looked (and smelled) fantastic — several people nearby were enjoying their slices. Inside, there’s ample room, a big bar, and a large TV for catching a game. The atmosphere is laid-back and friendly, including friendly dogs. Chatting with a few locals confirmed what we suspected: this spot is a Boise favorite for good reason!”

“Walking into the coffee shop Giftshop is quite colorful, they have a large selection of stickers and mugs along with Gag gifts, and friendly staff. The coffee I ordered was a white chocolate mocha but it wasn’t very sweet kinda plain but it did have a wonderful cream design on the top as pictured. The coffee prices are rather cheap for Boise and the food prices were also very affordable for Boise.”

“Best coffee shop in Idaho! My husband and I go at least once a week. The Baristas and the owner are far superior to any other coffee shop around. “Absolutely wonderful Middle Eastern cuisine, style and personality!!
I’ll be the first to qualify my review by admitting that I am quite limited in my capacity to hand out stars for authenticity. Based on the dozen or so times I’ve had Middle Eastern food (mostly at homes and celebrations), this food fits the bill and expectation for authentically Middle Eastern. But, again, I am from the Deep South of the Pacific Northwest, so take it with a pinch of salt...and some Falafel!
I wish I hadn’t been so eager to dish up before getting a photo; and it is not the prettiest photo, but I am sharing it for context. Check out the “leftovers” from our family platter purchase:
3 of the 4 adults, and 5 hungry teens/preteens all ate substantially!!
And it covered lunch the next day for several of us!
It was all SO good! I can’t wait to have it again. Easy access off the Interstate or Orchard/Cole; very responsive service; amazing staff and atmosphere; and fresh and delicious.

If you want to consider the value of covering more than one meal for most of the fam, I definitely overstated the cost per person!”

“we are visiting from Utah for a few days. we randomly chose to go to Romio's for dinner. what a great choice! we ordered Greek platter. there was enough food there for two of us. our food came out to us nice and hot and absolutely delicious! we were so full that we had to take our tiramisu to go. our waiter was very attentive, friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. we highly recommend Romio's. we' ll be back the next time we come to Boise. “Had breakfast this morning at at The Chef's Hut. I had no idea this restaurant was even here. I must say it was such a great experience. Loved the atmosphere, and the decorations were so cool. Wait staff was on point, our coffee was always full. Food came out quickly even though the place was busy. I had the eye opener for breakfast and I must say it was some of the best biscuits and gravy I have had. The rest of the food was top notch as well. If you want great food do yourself a favor and head to The Chef's Hut, you won't be disappointed. 10 out of 10.”

“I've been going here since they opened and their staff is always so welcoming and genuinely happy to see you everytime. If we have friends or family come into town this is our automatic first place to bring them for dinner. I don't say this lightly but their food has the best flavor in town! A few years back I went to Ft. Lauderdale (N. Miami) and looked up their #1 Cuban restaurant so that I could compare. Not only is Casablanca's flavor better than I had there, the serving size was smaller (with a similar presentation and plating) and costs 3-4x what I pay here in town. I feel so blessed to have them just down the street from me. You must try the Masitas de Puerco Fritas, it literally melts in your mouth. “Yoi Tomo Sushi and Grill isn’t just a restaurant,it’s an arena. An all-you-can-eat battle of wills between man and salmon, and I came to win.

Their all-you-can-eat deal is amazing, as long as you show up with a plan, a purpose, and possibly a small support group. The rule is simple: if you leave more than three pieces on the plate, they charge you five bucks. Honestly, that’s fair. Sushi abandonment should be a crime anyway.

So I dug deep. I toughed it out like a sushi warrior destined for greatness. I had enough salmon nigiri to make an entire grizzly bear question its life choices, and then I finished strong with the Anger Management Roll, because dessert should be raw fish wrapped in rice and existential decisions.

If I had paid full price for everything I ate, my bill would have been 90 bucks. Instead, I walked out victorious, only slightly dizzy, and spiritually transformed.

Important survival tip: You must must must get on the waitlist via Yelp. Do not show up like a walk-in amateur. We arrived at 5 PM on a Saturday, were already 13th on the waitlist, and still waited about 45 minutes. But it was incredibly well run and organized. These people conduct the waitlist like air traffic control during the Super Bowl. Respect.

If you have an appetite (or unresolved emotional issues you’d like to eat your way through), this place is heaven. If not, go order a salad somewhere else and let the rest of us work.”

“I was so lucky to get to try this place out during my visit to Boise. My uncle who’s lived in Japan is a complete sushi iceberg, and we go nowhere else. I had to have the Godzilla road now I had many other roles and my cousin, to the number of different items the service was incredible!!! The spicy dragon roll was my favorite, but Godzilla you have to try!!! OH NOOOO I SAY YOU HAVE TO GO AND TRY GODZILLA!!”

“I popped into Stella’s late one afternoon on my way home from work, looking to treat myself with a pint of ice cream. I couldn’t decide between my usual go-to flavor of mint chocolate chip, or if I wanted to try something new. I wound up doing both and also got a pint of the All Nighter, a coffee-flavored ice cream. They even had peanut butter PUPsicles so I grabbed one of those for my dog. The gal at the counter (who was super helpful while I asked questions about the ice cream flavors) rang me up and I was on my way. I’m almost (but not entirely) embarrassed to admit that I didn’t make it home before I needed to try a bite of the ice cream. I was in standstill traffic, it was hot, and I had a spoon. Or so I thought. I was already committed at that point so I just took a little bite off the top of the opened pint. And another. And another. It was so good that I ate what I could reach without the use of a spoon, then I had to try the other flavor. Both were so good and creamy that I had to force myself to put the lids back on and save some for my husband. My dog is lucky I didn’t break into his pupsicle. Now to the pupsicle. I gave it to my dog as soon as I got home. His little mind was blown by the surprise treat and I sat on the floor with him, holding the pupsicle as he licked it. He didn’t stop until the ice cream was gone and once it was, he still had the cookie part to eat. He rated it 4 paws up and wants another. I will definitely be back to try all the flavors!”

“The most interesting thing about eating at Moon's is actually just finding the darn place. While it's address is on Main its main entrance equipped with escalators to the second floor are located off of the pedestrian plaza without a street number address to be found anywhere.
I was pleasantly surprised with, considering how hard it was to find, that it was as busy as it was and with predominantly a younger crowd.
Something about the decor really clicked with me and Becca who attended to my table was especially pleasant and very attentive. Another funny thing was the pollished concrete floor and how it interacted with the ball type castors on the bottom of the chairs. This combination made it especially easy for my chair to move around and glide away from the table when I applied any kind of pressure against the table. Kind of had to wedge my feet to the floor to keep me in place. Would you otherwise notice this; I doubt it. But I'm off that way.
Fun place, good food, music not too loud....yes I would return, especially since I know how to find it now.”

The only thing that would improve the atmosphere would be more cloth or sound deadening products to help with all the noise that happens when it’s packed full of people. It’s so busy sometimes that it’s tough to talk to and hear the people you are dining with. That is the only negative thing I can say. The food portions are generous, I often bring leftovers home for later. The food is excellent and my servers have always been attentive and nice.”

“California Mexican Food ⭐️⭐️⭐️ I tried this Boise fast food Mexican restaurant today for the first time. I got the #18 combo, which is 2 Chile Rellenos, Rice & Beans with tortillas for a little less than $10. I went through the drive-through. The service was fast. I was impressed with the weight of the bag. I was even more impressed when I got back to my office and opened up the box. The food looked fantastic! I liked that the Chile Rellenos came with sour cream and a guacamole-like topping. They were made with nice sized poblano chilies. The flavor was good, and they were full of oozing cheese. If I was to rate these based on appearance and flavor, alone, I would rate them 4/5. However, the seeds were not removed from the poblano chilies before cooking them. Every single recipe I’ve seen for Chile Rellenos instructs you to remove the seeds. You don’t realize why that’s important until you get one with seeds. Eating a bunch of hard plant matter along with one’s Chile Relleno is not a pleasant experience. I’m not sure if this was a one off, or if this is how they normally prepare Chile Rellenos at California Mexican Food. The refried beans looked good, but they tasted sour. The rice was OK. I like that the meal comes with your choice of corn or flour tortillas. I chose flour. The tortillas seemed thick and homemade.”

Menu does a good job of explaining things as well for those who may not know all the proper sushi/sashimi names. The sushi rice was really well seasoned and the pieces were large. Hospitality was super as well! Really great experience and I highly recommend! Wish I had taken some photos, but I’ve already eaten everything up! Ordered the sushi and sashimi for 1 and aged tofu. We arrived at 830p and was worried because they close at 9p but the welcome was warm, the service throughout was fabulous - no one rushed us, they gave just the right amount of attention, the food was delicious and good proportions at reasonable prices. We had calamari, olive tapenade, flatbread, chicken masala, pizza, gnocchi. I wish we took pictures but we ate eagerly and there was nothing left. I did do a takeout order of tiramisu and snapped photo. Best tiramisu I've had in a long time. A must try if you're in Boise!”

“We had my birthday dinner here after an afternoon of biking the Greenbelt & foothills. The location is awesome & interior is beautiful! My wine pour was generous, which I very much appreciated. The bar tender was great. The food is very good but we didn’t really like the “family style” servings so much. The steak was excellent & cooked perfectly. The broccolini was a bit spicy for me, but everyone else liked it. The small amount of soup was served in an extremely oversized bowl & was pretty thick for soup, but the flavor was incredible! And the greens salad was fresh but just ok for me on flavor. I would go back again as it’s a lovely spot with good service.”
