“I’ve come here a few times now since they opened and I can confidently say it’s some of the best Japanese food I’ve ever had. There takoyaki especially is the best in the city, probably in the Chicago area in general. I’ve had both their spicy tonkatsu ramen and black garlic ramen and the black garlic is my favorite of the two but they’re both very good. My wife tried their lunch special recently and was a huge fan. I’m hoping to come here for years to come so do yourself a favor and give them a try.“

“We were indifferent to Mora when it first opened several years ago. The food was ok but not great. We went back for the first time in years a few weeks ago and were absolutely delighted by everything. We returned on Sunday afternoon and continue to be bowled over inspite of the noisy laughter coming from a couple of women in a corner booth.“

“Very nice experience with very tasty food. One problem was we had one very rude couple that showed up 25 minutes late and was watching loud YouTube videos and overall being very rude. I was celebrating my birthday and we were disrupted by this couple making remarks in Chinese which I could understand berating the chef for not giving him extra scallions as a side dish. I would suggest the host to either not allow them to dine after being so late or to at least tell them to be respectful“

“A light evening at this relative central location. Great sushi pleasant store , very colorful but chill, one thing I didn’t expect was the floor was a little slippery , but looked clean may just be the type of tiles used or my shoe . Staff was pleasant and welcoming. Love the anime’s/gaming theme to store and names for the type of rolls, you could tell it was thought through and deliberate. Time between order and receiving the meal was quick …. I loved the Mario roll and crab Rangoons were more ish (would go back for this) .

Ultimately a Great experience and left comfortably full but not stuffed worth the spend??

Parking: It really depends on on time you go but the seemed to have a bunch of street paid parking relatively easy to access“

“I absolutely love Lawrence Fish Market! I’ve ordered from them many times and they never disappoint. The sushi is always fresh and delicious, with amazing flavor and great quality. I had an amazing experience at this sushi restaurant! The waitresses were incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. Their warm hospitality truly enhanced our dining experience.

The food was outstanding—the soup was rich, flavorful, and absolutely delicious, making for a perfect start to the meal. I also tried the avocado roll, which was exceptionally fresh and of the highest quality. The avocado was perfectly ripe and creamy, complementing the sushi beautifully.

“I’ve been here twice for lunch and dinner. Both times the fish was perfect. Nigiri and Sashimi that is top of its class (fresh, large portions, perfectly prepared). This is one of the best sushi spots in Chicago and the prices are more reasonable than everywhere else (local or in the city). The Nigiri/Sashimi lunch is only $16 and very large. I had 12 different cuts of fish for dinner. I will definitely be back. Great food, great service, well done! Highly recommended.“

“Best Sushi Restaurant on the planet. Not only was all the food superior than any other Sushi restaurant I've been to. My family and I had a feast.(I mean all the food was good). Very reasonable prices as well. The most astonishing fact about this restaurant was the host (Quam) his amazing knowledge of food and customer service was unlike any other. The Ice cream desert was mind blowing. You don't have to take my word for it, but I guarantee you, you won't find another Sushi restaurant in the city of Chicago as good this one. Our consensus was our favorite was the black ranger with orange and red close behind. We also tried the pink and green and while they weren't top 3 for us, still delicious and we finished them all. “This was a wildly delicious meal. Inventive but also traditional. The food itself was the star, but every other aspect of the meal was also great. It felt like a dinner party at friend’s house. The atmosphere was convivial with the chef explaining the food and answering questions from the diners with everyone in the room being able to hear. The single waiter, Jose, was also a delight. I would return here in a heartbeat despite the price tag.“

“We were really excited to check out a new sushi place in our neighborhood, but honestly it was fine. We sat at the bar and ordered a few appetizers during happy hour. The miso soup was excellent! However, I think the bartender forgot about us for almost a half hour before we could order the rest of our meal. And we were one of 3 couples at the bar.

The fish itself was good (not bad), but I was underwhelmed. We paid 20 dollars for a maki rolls that was essentially shrimp tempera with a little salmon on top.“
