“picked up a to-go order, slight issue with order coming through. get there, no order’s been put in. They apologize, and throw in free french fries. Something about my order came through as 2 burgers. We come back 20 minutes later. Not only do they bring out my food TO me but they also threw in the 2 burgers that the mix up came through as for free! Ray was the gentleman who assisted me, couldn’t have been more pleasant. 10/10 choice for dinner tonight on service alone”

“I’ve been a customer here since they opened their doors in Chalmette. You get way more for your money. The drinks are amazing! The mocha chiller with an extra shot and chocolate drizzle is my go to! My kids love the milkshakes, the iced chai is delicious, the 7 energy’s are super refreshing. They have endless delicious combinations of flavors, including sugar free!!! They also have a secret menu that you can find and order from. They have free swag all the time, and not cheap crappy stuff either. Coasters, brewsies, t-shirts, free drinks, & stickers! To top it off, their staff is outstanding. No matter what time of day we go, they know us. Everyone is super friendly and genuine. It’s like catching up with a family member when you’re waiting on your drinks to come. Super fast and efficient! I recommend this place to everyone!! 10/10”

“Such a nice experience! Our first time visiting and the young man working was amazing!!! Prices were great, atmosphere was clean, very vibrant and welcoming! The guy working went above and beyond multiple times in our short visit! He was so patient with my 4 year old as he made his selection! He unfortunately dropped his cone and the young man was so quick to help! My daughter left her purse and he ran it out to us in our vehicle! Just a very wonderful experience!! Major props to the guy working during our visit!! Definitely will return next time we’re in town.”

Staff were also super friendly and lounge area was neat. Although a smaller location, it definitely lives up to coffeehouse standards in arabi.”

“So today I brought my family to UMI Hibachi and sushi in Chalmette to celebrate the twins birthday. We was given the lunch menu and ordered of the the lunch menu. I saw the the kids meal was $9.99 and the Lunch meal was $10.50. I specifically ask the young man what was the 50 cent difference between the kids lunch meal and the regular lunch meal . He told me that the lunch meal came with noodles. So I told him we’ll just give my boys a regular lunch meal. As he started to bring out the salad and soup I notice he only brought out one set for one of my boys. I told him I want the lunch meal for all of them. So he came back with more 2 sets of salad and soup. After we finish eating I get my bill and he charge us for the dinner combination Vs the lunch meal. I told him that not what I ordered. The dinner combination meals are $26.99 each . He said that we received dinner combinations portions so that what I have to paid for. First, I don’t have a problem with paying but that not what I ordered. I ask to speak with the manager . The manager send the waiter back and told him to tell us that there’s no negotiation it’s either we pay are else . So I’m the wrong individual to threaten like that. I send him back to his manger to tell her I’m not paying for nothing I didn’t ordered. The manager then came out and said the owner said that either we pay the dinner combination price or they was going to call the police . Now I feel very disrespected because you’re trying to make me pay for something I didn’t ordered, you’re also not trying to negotiate. So I told them to call the cop because the cop don’t scare me. The cop came and heard both side of the story . Ì eventually paid for what I originally ordered but the owner also ban me from the establishment. I’m writing this because this restaurant treated me and my family very unfairly. We went in there to celebrate the twins birthday because that what they wanted . If this was a black business ppl would blast them all over the internet. Please don’t go to to this business. Especially if you’re black… The owner wasn’t there but I know he knew I was black and while he was on the phone he kept telling the cop that I know he don’t want to paid . The cop kept telling him the guy has no problem with paying but only what he ordered. He ban me because they was wrong lol .. I already had it in my mind that I’ll never go back anyways .. Once again THANK YOU UMI Hibachi and sushi in Chalmette for messing up my sons birthday celebration…”
