“We were blown away on our first visit this morning!! Ryan is a talented mixologist in the bar creating beautiful, delicious and truly unique drinks. Our server Louis was incredibly charming and attentive, giving us excellent menu choices —as it was a hard decision. Every dish was a work of art—both in presentation and flavor. The whole experience was top-notch, and we can’t wait to come back!“

“My husband and I went on Friday night for dinner. Could not wait to try the new menu and it was simply awesome. To start with, our sever team was Isaac and Cheyanne and they were great. We never waited for anything. The Hot Crab Claws and Foie Gras Torte for appetizers were divine. I ordered the Duck Cassoulet and my husband had the visiting fish, Sea Bass over Yakamein. While the fish was excellent, the Duck ruled the table. Thanks to the Servers and Kitchen for a wonderful meal. We'll be back.“

“This was probably our favorite dining experience in New Orleans, which is saying something! We ate here our first evening in the city and it was a great way to kick off our vacation. This truly is a next-level dining experience, not just a meal. The restaurant is in a small historic house near the Garden District and it’s a lovely quaint atmosphere. My husband and I opted for the communal seating experience and we had great conversations with our fellow diners. Each course was presented well, with a description from our waitstaff, and while it is 7 courses, it isn’t too much food at all. Cocktails are quite good too (we skipped the wine pairing). Definitely not an everyday dinner, but 100% worth the splurge!“

“this place was amazing! They are very friendly and the food was awesome. My son just got out of surgery and wanted a poboy. This was the place he picked and again they didn't disappoint. My family and I will Def be back. Side note their sweet tea is the best I ever had.“

“Wild South is the best place to enjoy a cozy, delicious meal focused on Southern cuisine.
We went on a Wednesday night the week before Christmas, so it was slower than normal, which allowed us to sit at the chef's table and get unfettered attention from the staff and chefs. We ordered the 5 course prefix menu, and everything came perfectly timed, and perfectly portioned, to the point where we left satisfied but not overly full. I paired this with their Sherry flight, which allowed me to experience a wide range of styles they have to offer.
The first course was an escabeche-esque snapper, eaten in a rice cracker. The second course was an ode to New England style chowder. Both items were not listed on the menu at the time.
We were interrupted by an intermezzo of uni and trout roe topped chicken schnitzel bites, followed by the vegetable course of broccolini, carrots and peppers, topped with a pumpkin XO sauce, and goat creme fraiche.
The main course was a brined and one-week dry-aged pork chop, with radicchio and sweet potatoes.
Pre-dessert was a refreshing scoop of strawberry sorbet, and dessert was a nod to chocolate mint ice cream, but with merengue and toasted sesame, along with Creole cream cheese custard with strawberries and poached carrots.
Overall we had an amazing time, enjoying our camaraderie with the chefs and staff, and would highly recommend going back and enjoying a meal with friends. We will definitely be back when we return to New Orleans.“

“Recent dinner at the Jazz Bistro. Food was impeccable. service by server Sarah, was inconsistent and inattentive. Struggled to get her attention to place order. She ignored us for table of six. Surly, rude, unhelpful, no personality. spoke with young manager on duty; he listened, but said NOTHING in response to my concerns.(I identified myself as a former food and beverage manager with Hyatt Hotels and considerable restaurant experience.) Don't expect attention here, even if your needs are minimal. Other staff were charming, which made Sarah look even more inept.“

“We have been many times. The oyster, crayfish and soup appetizers were excellent. The bbq shrimp were excellent but the shrimp smaller, and the shrimp and grits fantastic. The FAILURE was the desserts. Way too sweet and there were virtually no pecans in the pecan pie. The lemon tart tasted like canned filling and the bread pudding should not be heated in a microwave half was hot half was cold. We will always be back for the bbq shrimp but skip desserts, sadly.“

“This was the best meal we had our whole trip!!
Ambiance (4/5): Be sure to wait outside, behind the line on the ground, instead of walking through the door to be seated. We were told that there was no phones allowed (including taking picture/video taking)! My friend got scolded when she took pics of her food and I got yelled at when I took a video from the *outside* of the establishment. The tables are long and you may get seated with other guests. It’s dark and has a dive bar feel.
Service (4/5): They are bustling so service was a little slow. However, the waiter (from upstate new York) was a hoot and gave us the best recommendations for what to get (and not get!) Expect the staff to curse and talk without filters haha
Food (5/5): Everyone at the table was floored with their meals. I got the Coop’s Taste Plate which had a little bit of everything. The gumbo to start was packed with flavor. The fried chicken had a thin and crispy skin, moist on the inside (Get the 3 pieces if you get the main dish because some of the pieces were a little small.) creole, beans/rice, and jambalaya were all super flavorful. We couldn’t have been happier.
Friends loved the Chicken Tchoupitoulas which was juicy and to die for.“

“I ordered the Bayou breakfast bowl and my husband ordered the Garden Omelet- everything so fresh and seasoned to perfection! Nice size portions. India’s charming smile and warm welcome showed us exactly what Southern Hospitality was all about- she even went out of her way to provide us with a list of local jazz spots. Will definitely be back.“

“Excellent food and service. Staff is amazing. They were all very pleasant and on point during this past Essence Festival weekend. Put yourself on the waitlist via Yelp and don’t go until your number gets near. This restaurant is in high demand so there will be a long wait. Well worth it!“

“Best po-boys... We've been eating here for a number of years. Our go-to especially for breakfast po-boys. The best bread ever...made locally in NOLA. Not sure why they didn't have Bloody Mary's this time...they have had in the past....but sandwiches still worth the visit.“

“A New Orleans must! Great tasting, traditional Creole food. Food comes out HOT and the portions are big! A more simple menu that has just enough options and you can’t go wrong with any dish (although I recommend the red beans and rice, stewed or fried chicken and the praline bread pudding). Very impressed with how friendly the staff was. We will definitely be eating here again next time we are in town!“
