“Decided to walk through Allston on a grody, misty afternoon and look for some food. Walked in by chance and at my SO’s insistence that we give it a look. I loved everything about the aesthetic, and enjoyed the soft music playing in the background. Being able to choose the ingredients I wanted - knowing they were organic and that they looked more than delicious raw...that was the absolute best part. The gentleman at the front was supremely helpful and answered any question thrown at him - by anyone in the shop. The price was more than worth the amount of food received, and the care extended to us as guests was wonderful. I absolutely would recommend anyone to give this a try. Don’t hesitate to ask a question, you will definitely get an answer. :)“

“Excellent food and a very enjoyable meal at Kung Fu Kitchen! We tried several dishes and were very happy with everything we ordered.
The wonton soup was especially good. The wontons were large, with visible shrimp in each one, and the soup was loaded with fresh vegetables. Very satisfying and flavorful.
The chive pancake was another highlight—filled with chives, egg, glass noodles, and dried shrimp. It tasted authentic and was absolutely delicious. We also enjoyed the steamed and pan-fried dumplings.
The restaurant is clean, bright, and modern. Service wasn’t the greatest, but for this type of casual, fast-paced restaurant, it was totally acceptable.
Overall, the quality and authenticity of the food really impressed me. Definitely a 5/5, and I would happily come back!“

“We have a new office in Boston. So periodically I drive down from our main office to the Boston location and every time I do, I have resolved to try a new restaurant. This was today’s choice and it was SPECTACULAR! My server was fantastic. The food came out quickly and was insanely good. I didn’t know how big my stir-fried rice cake bowl would be so I ordered the sweet and sour pork loin to go with it. But the rice cake bowl was huge and tasted incredible. Lots of heat, lots of fresh prepared veggies and meat. 10/10 would recommend that dish. The pork tenderloin I tried and 10/10 would recommend it as well. The location is a bit small and that is literally the only nit I can pick. If you’re in this area, get some take out or eat in , you won’t regret it!!“

“We definitely enjoyed our meal! Pan seared pork bao and mala duck for appetizers. General Tso’s chicken and Grandma’s pork noodles for entrees. Good stuff! Kyle the bartender was awesome. We ate at the bar,“

“Found this place on Google & Pinterest. So glad we gave it a try. The chicken corn soup was sweet and delicious, we had pork and cabbage dumplings, spring rolls, hot tea, fried rice and kimchi. It was all delicious. I don’t use chop sticks so they brought me a fork. Would highly recommend this place it was busy but we don’t have to wait long for a table and they had a steady line of to go orders going out as well.“

“Very friendly, family-owned restaurant with many wheat based dishes!
The combination of lamb roujiamo and liangpi was excellent. The liangpi has sesame paste and is a bit more sour than other liangpi I’ve tasted, but balances out with the cumin and saltiness of the lamb. The veggie buns seemed like they were commercially bought rather than homemade, and were filling.
Will definitely try other dishes next time.“

“Great catering experience for our MIT x Harvard sports dinner! The food was delicious, portions were generous, and everyone loved the sago dessert and drinks. The staff went above and beyond by helping us move everything into our building. Definitely recommend them for student club catering!“

“I was there at Jian Nan Syosset, Long Island. Everything went great!! But, those took the orders needed to be more educated to understand each dishes. We were a fairly larger group than standard party size. Some dished were small and some dim sum served with small quantities, like 3 or 4. Those who order for the large group, should give suggestion to order multiple orders for the same dish. So, each one in the group can have at least one.“

“I really like this spot! It’s clean with fast service and delicious food. Of course you have to get the soup dumplings. The Chongqing noodles are also a must- so tasty and spicy! They have new animal shaped baos that are so good and have yummy fillings too.“

“I came here with a group of 6 so we got to try a good number of dishes.
My favorites were the hot and sour soup (good flavor, lots of tasty fillings, and the small size could easily feed all of us), the beef chow fun (great wok hei and textures, though the beef seemed potentially undercooked), and the spicy dry fried calamari (perfectly crispy and chewy and savory and spicy).
The seafood with crispy noodles was also good. I thought most of the seafood I tried was good, but the scallops were not that great as they felt overcooked. I also didn't like that the sizzling fish had skin on it, but that's just a me thing.
Overall it's a good option for a big group, and I'd come back for the three items I enjoyed the most -- they were executed well.“

“Dumplings were good… the noodles with oil needs flavor.. they charge $6 to add beef to the noodles and give you a tiny bit of meat… kind of a rip off with prices over all. Probably won’t go back you can get better dumplings for way cheaper in other places.“

“This is hands down the most consistent Chinese restaurant around. The food is always extremely fresh and of the highest quality. You can taste the difference. The meats are always tender and flavorful, including the beef broccoli and steamed fish filet with vegetables. Better than any restaurant in Chinatown.“

“The restaurant has about 10 tables and serves different types of noodles. Sometimes at dinner time, you have to wait a bit, but the employees try to clear people out quickly, and they can usually accommodate larger groups by pushing tables together. This restaurant encourages you to order on a QR code, brings your food to you, and has an employee collect payment at your table. I don't like soup noodles, so I basically only get the dry ones, but those are good. They can be pretty spicy, but they have quite a few vegetables, meat chunks, and the texture of the noodles is good. I definitely enjoy coming here!“
“It's not the 'hot pot' that you normally think of. The 'soup dish' comes in a huge bowl with a warmer underneath. And oh the ingredients are SO fresh. We had the fish pot with bean curd and lotus root. The fish was cooked just right!! The side dishes were fantastic as well. We had the fried milk and marinated black fungus. All phenomenal. Very creative and tasty. The place is small and very clean. We plan to go back to try out all of the side dishes!! Very worthwhile gastronomical experience.“

“The pan fried buns is a must get! The lady makes it in the front window so you know it's fresh. We dined in and was served in take out containers which is fine, makes it easier to bring leftovers home. Parking is limited in front of the restaurant, it is paid street parking and may be hard to find since its surrounded by residential parking only.“
“Great new place in Malden!! Authentic flavors and very high quality ingredients. The meat especially was of really good quality- We got the beef tendon special which was a hit (VERY tender) and some other specials that were recommended. Moderate spicy was a little too hot for me so I will probably do Less spicy next time. It wasn’t a bad spicy though, the spice came from the fresh peppers and was tasty. Service was great, atmosphere was pleasant. Will def be coming back!“

“This review is long overdue, but this is a great Thai small business to support. The place is cozy [with seasonal outdoor seating] and the staff is always warm. The Drunken noodles are my go-to and it is a generous portion of noodles AND protein...for the most part. I strongly discourage paying extra for extra protein as I paid $3 for EXTRA protein and received 3 small shrimp. This seems to be a trend as I have ordered DN at two other places and the extra fee was not reflected in the portion delivered. But Mae does deliver consistently outside of this.“

“This soup was SO good. The flavor was so well balanced despite appearances. I thought the chili oil might be too much and the regular broth too salty but man was a wrong. It was PERFECT. Fragrant, savory, and the noodle texture was just right. Not too soft but not too hard. Would most DEFINITELY go again.“

“Super cool place! You fill a bowl with whatever soup ingredients you want and pay by weight. You then choose a broth and the meal is cooked for you. The sauce bar is customizable and free with a meal. My friend and I loved the selection of toppings and will definitely be back. There is usually a wait list in the evening and they don’t take reservations ahead of time, so go early and put your number/name in!“

“Solid authentic Chinese spot with good texture on their hand pulled noodles and dumpling wrappers. Food is cooked fresh to order and delicious. “This is easily my new favorite in Brookline. The rice is cooked very well, with a crispy layer around the edges of the clay pot that’s lightly browned and crunchy which is exactly what you want to look for in clay pot rice. Sue recommended mixing the beef brisket with Chinese sausage into the rice, and it was amazing. The vibe is cozy and casual, great for a relaxed dinner, and the prices are a genuinely great value for the quality and portion size. This place has been open about a year now and deserves way more attention, highly recommend!“

“Went there twice so far, can’t remember my servers name but she is overall very knowledgeable and friendly. She even remembered us from the first time we came. Their ice cream there… I’m obsessed! The food there was amazing! The beef bone is phenomenal, must say my favorite! The Chinese herb I believe it’s called, it’s also good. 10/10 recommend this place. I’m from PA but when I travel here I make sure to stop in.“

“Delicious 😋 fresh Chinese food restaurant with reasonable prices and great customer service. There's a a couple of tables and chairs if you want to eat in the restaurant. I think of the place as take out. Street parking can be limited too. No food pictures because I just enjoyed my food. Check it out, you will not be disappointed.“

“This place is so good. Best Uyghur food I’ve had in New England. We tried 6 entrees and enjoyed all of them. The only thing we weren’t a fan of were the dumplings and samosas because they’re very cumin forward. We received our food really quickly as well. If you’re looking for a halal Asian food spot check them out“

“Honestly my favourite Chinese restaurant in the area. I lived in Beijing for a while and this is one of the only restaurants outside of China town where I've had food that actually tasted authentic. They ruined me for the terrible American Chinese takeout food you find everywhere else.“

“Food was decent, but the value just wasn’t there for us. Two people ordered a half-and-half broth, one beef & lamb combo, tripe, crispy pork, fried rice, and sauce bar — no drinks, seafood, or dessert. The total came to about $110 after tax and tip.
We didn’t order much at all, and for hot pot we basically only had two plates of food to cook, so $55 per person felt pretty expensive for what we got. Nothing was particularly bad, but at this price point I expected either larger portions or a more memorable experience. There are quite a few hot pot options around Boston where $50+ per person goes a lot further.“
