“I saw Jayson Tatum here yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything.
He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?”
I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like five orders of crab rangoons in his hands without paying.
The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.
When she took one of the bags and keyed in quantity x5, he stopped her and told her to enter each line individually “to prevent any math tricks,” and then turned around and winked at me. If he was making a joke, I guess I didn't get it. After she keyed in each individual order of rangoons and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.“

“Dumpling House is a great hidden gem in a little strip mall on Walnut street in Newton. There was plenty of parking. Restaurant appeared very clean. Staff was friendly. The menu is huge. Mostly authentic Chinese dishes. Not your typical American style Chinese food. The food tasted extremely fresh and full of flavor. I started with a small hot and sour soup with shredded pork. It was large enough for two people. Very traditionally prepared with wood ear mushrooms, golden needles, tofu, pork, scallions. It had a very nice complex flavor with a big kick that would clear out anyone's sinuses. Soup was delicious! My first appetizer was the jellyfish with garlic. This was like a salad with the jellyfish cut in thin strips with a solid but not chewy texture. The dish also had cucumbers, carrots, sesame seeds and plenty of garlic. Delicious! Next I had one of my favorites appetizers. Crispy fried pig intestines! If you have never had this, step outside your box. The outside is crispy with a texture like bacon and the inside is a soft moist delicious pork flavor. This dish is amazing! For my entrée I had to go with the pork and crab soup dumplings. These were full of soup, flavor and makes the whole trip worth it! Soooo good! If you are looking for quality food that's different from the American PuPu platter, check this place out. I can't wait to go back!

“The Chinese and Taiwanese restaurants in Newton mostly serve snacks or side dishes, which can be paired with some fried noodles or scallion pancakes, and the overall portions are small. This time I ordered beef burrito, Taiwanese fried noodles, carrot cake, steamed pork ribs, large intestine noodles, fried dough sticks, and sweet soy milk. Beef burrito, crispy crust and beef slices, salty and delicious. The Taiwanese fried noodles are just right in saltiness and taste good. The fried radish cake has a crispy texture, but the body of the radish cake is hard (not the same as what you get in Taiwan). The steamed pork ribs are soft and tender, and paired with the sweet potatoes spread underneath, it is delicious. The large intestine noodles have a smooth texture, and the large intestine is delicious, with a nostalgic taste. Crispy fried dough sticks paired with slightly sweet soy milk, a classic Taiwanese delicacy.

“Decided to walk through Allston on a grody, misty afternoon and look for some food. Walked in by chance and at my SO’s insistence that we give it a look. I loved everything about the aesthetic, and enjoyed the soft music playing in the background. Being able to choose the ingredients I wanted - knowing they were organic and that they looked more than delicious raw...that was the absolute best part. The gentleman at the front was supremely helpful and answered any question thrown at him - by anyone in the shop. The price was more than worth the amount of food received, and the care extended to us as guests was wonderful. I absolutely would recommend anyone to give this a try. Don’t hesitate to ask a question, you will definitely get an answer. :)“

“I was there at Jian Nan Syosset, Long Island. Everything went great!! But, those took the orders needed to be more educated to understand each dishes. We were a fairly larger group than standard party size. Some dished were small and some dim sum served with small quantities, like 3 or 4. Those who order for the large group, should give suggestion to order multiple orders for the same dish. So, each one in the group can have at least one.“

“One of the freshest, crispiest, and tastiest dumpling place in Boston. Their soup dumpling is fresh and packed with umami soup. The Shanghai pork buns all have a crispy bottom with soft dough and flavorful pork stuffing. Their hand pulled noodles are also fresh with lots of veggies and the portion size is very generous! Lit will come back!“

“It’s an Internet celebrity restaurant, but it’s still worth trying. ?Environment, food, and service are both average. ?Spicy chicken, crispy tofu, and boiled beef are all fresh and well cooked, especially the chicken, which is spicy and fragrant. ??The price is OK? , in short, very good in the United States ?“

“Found this place on Google & Pinterest. So glad we gave it a try. The chicken corn soup was sweet and delicious, we had pork and cabbage dumplings, spring rolls, hot tea, fried rice and kimchi. It was all delicious. I don’t use chop sticks so they brought me a fork. Would highly recommend this place it was busy but we don’t have to wait long for a table and they had a steady line of to go orders going out as well.“

“A Flavorful and Fun Experience!
This hot pot restaurant is absolutely fantastic! From the moment we walked in, the vibrant and lively atmosphere set the perfect mood for a fun dining experience.
The ingredients are so fresh, and the variety is incredible—there’s truly something for everyone. The broth options were packed with flavor, and customizing my own combination of ingredients made the meal even more enjoyable.
The staff was friendly and helpful, always checking in and making sure we had everything we needed. It’s clear they care about creating a memorable experience for their guests.
If you’re looking for a place to enjoy a delicious, interactive meal with friends or family, this is it! I left feeling happy, full, and excited to come back again soon.“

“We were on our way back to our hotel from Porter Square and decided to eat before going inside for the evening. We found Zoe’s on Google and it felt like such a gift. It’s in a mostly residential area; however we did find parking after circling. I wasn’t familiar with the area (in the dark) and I was hungry :) so there may have been easier options.
The food was absolutely scrumptious, fresh tasting and abundant. The spinach was so good, I ate the leftover with my breakfast the next day.
Everything we ordered was tasty.
The customer care was top tier. We felt extra special. I definitely highly recommend and intend to revisit. Thanks so much.

“Ok - this is from getting delivery but the packaging and care put into my order was incredible. They packed my icecream in a tub of ice to make sure it stayed cold and separated every single item that could possibly get soggy. Never usually write a review like this but it was above and beyond!“

“Speedy service, delicious food. We had two hand pulled noodle dishes (beef and lamb), along with scallion pancakes and tea eggs. The noodles were a great texture, and very filling.
The atmosphere is very low key, casual. The prices were fair. There is a municipal parking lot around the corner if you can't find a street spot out front. I would definitely return!“

“Very very delicious and comforting. Real deal. Considered dropping a star for slow service but in retrospect I think Head of the Charles this weekend just made everything a little more slow.
Lanzhou beef noodle soup was SO yummy words can’t even describe how the broth made me feel tbh. Lamb skewers were fatty and juicy and bursting with flavor. Mala tofu with preserved egg and rice was a great contrast to the other dishes — light and refreshing (also I love preserved egg with my whole heart). And the osmanthus flavor iced jelly? Slurp.
Picture included of plates made CLEAN.“

“It's a very simple fly restaurant, but it's not easy to eat authentic Chinese food here. This kind of product is worth recommending. The dishes are very generous. Two people, one meat dish and one vegetarian dish, a bowl of rice, three cans of drinks + tip $50 Yuan, very satisfied with the meal. The price/performance ratio is very high and the service from the boss is also very good. The dining environment is average and there are few seats. If you miss the peak period, you don’t have to wait for a table. Free parking is available in front of the restaurant.“

“I didn't have the best experience here recently. The samsa/samosa was chewy and the bread was a bit too thick, but still better than the ones at Jahunger. The dried beef noodles on the other hand were not the best I've had when I ordered takeout. They didn't taste fresh and they stuck together quite a bit, which made me feel like they were cooked earlier in the day.
I've had Ali's separately during an event that catered from their restaurant and found the food to be much better. I don't want to be too harsh given the mix of experiences, but I'd be willing to give them another shot.“

“I think their chicken wings really taste like McDonald’s spicy chicken wings in China! ! ! ! There is nothing like Korean fried chicken in Boston, but every time you want to eat domestic taste, this is the fried chicken! And that chicken fillet roll really tastes like the old Beijing chicken roll “

“Great for mala (dry) and for other shareable plates. Their large dish can definitely be split between 3 or so people. Would highly recommend recommend if you’re in the area and craving something spicy. Parking is of course very difficult to find, but not unusual for the area.“

“Food is good, but it is often too salty for my tastes. We enjoy the dim sum dishes, but it can be hit or miss as far as liking something enough to order it again. I guess, like any Chinese restaurant that I have been to in the area, there are some dishes they do well and appeal to my taste and other dishes that do not.“

“Solid Cantonese restaurant in Boston Chinatown, possibly the best Cantonese option, especially for seafood dishes.
The surf clams were great. We also got whole steamed fish, normally with black bass but because they ran out they substituted with fluke which is actually a little softer. We only wish they'd been a little more transparent with the price of it. However it was very good.
The stir fried pea pod stems weren't very good in our opinion and seemed to not have any garlic. Still a good restaurant though.“

“Takeout review only: the kitchen moves at lightning speed and everything on the menu is authentic and delicious. Highly recommend the "mouth watering" spicy chicken and their lanzhou beef noodle soup is pretty decent too. Just down the street from Mulan, which is easily just as good but with slightly higher traffic and more parking options; I alternate between the two for my takeout options.“
