“This is a great cocktail bar that also happens to have pretty good food! The only thing holding this review from being 5 stars is that the owner needs to assign more staff to the Saturday evening shift. There was 25-30 customers between 6:30 and 8pm on a Saturday, but only TWO employees working outside the kitchen. No host, no busser, no server. Just ONE waiter and ONE bartender during prime time dinner hours. The bartender was serving food instead of bartending and the waiter was frantically trying to take orders from 10+ tables. No one was bussing (dirty tables were left unattended until new customers arrived) and you had to find the waiter or bartender in order to get a seat. I hope the owner or manager sees this because I felt so bad for the two staff trying to run the front house of this restaurant on a Saturday night. They were doing their best and deserve more help so they can provide better service to customers.”
“Everything was perfect, the service, food and cocktails! Look forward to returning.”
“We had a fantastic dinner! Great food and great staff. We had a variety of appetizers and rolls; with the crispy rice, torch roll and Maryland roll being the best! Thank you Linda for the recommendations, you didn’t let us down! We will be back to try Linda’s other favorite dishes. :)”

“Came here on the day after July 4, the wait-list seemed long but they went by fast! Service was quick and professional. Food is good as usual (I've been to other locations before).
I remember hearing about the lines to eat here so get take out”
“We hadn't been to Persimmon since they renovated the space. It was definitely different -- more casual than before. That being said, we had the sunset dinner ($49 for 3 courses) and the food was outstanding. It was just the right amount of food since the portions are a little smaller than the regular menu but this way we had appetizers and dessert and weren't too stuffed by the time we left. We would definitely go back.”
“Thanks Gaby! What a wonderful place! Pisco The food and drinks were great from the ceviche to the pisco sours. What really stood out was the service from Gaby . She went above and beyond offering superb recommendations and taking excellent care of us from start to finish.”

“The minute you walk inside, you are immersed in a whole new experience.
The manager and staff are so kind, they truly check in on you and make sure you are taken care of.
The food is fresh and so delicious! The drinks are good as well!
I look forward to coming back (I recommend coming when they open so that you don't have to deal with the brunch rush).”

“My daughter recently moved to the area. After a long day of cleaning and unpacking boxes we ordered pizza for dinner. This is the BEST pizza! The crust was perfect. It was not greasy. It was sliced perfectly-easy to pick up. Location was easy to find and service was SUPER friendly! I am looking forward to eating here again when I’m in town!”
“Dalia's Falafel catered my husband's big bash birthday party last weekend. It was the best catering experience we have ever had, and I want everyone within a 100 mile radius of downtown Bethesda to know about this fantastic establishment located at 7750 Old Georgetown Rd, Bethesda, 20814. Ben, Cody and Kevin provided more than generous portions of outstanding food as well as practical support and guidance on preparing, presenting, serving, and storing their delicious trays of salads, sauces and, of course, falafels. They made the entire experience simple and easy. The value of the service we received was far greater than the fee that we paid -- truly! Please don't hesitate to consider Dalia's Falfel, a unique party option, for your next celebration”
“Andy’s Pizza in Bethesda was absolutely amazing! The pizza was delicious—perfectly cooked with great flavor in every bite. My husband is from NY/NJ and is usually very picky about pizza down here, but even he was happy and genuinely delighted with Andy’s Pizza. That says a lot!
Everything from the food to the experience was on point. The prices were great, the ambiance was welcoming, and overall it just felt like a spot we’ll keep coming back to. Highly recommend if you’re looking for quality pizza that even a tough New York critic will love. We’re definitely coming back! Thanks Freza for the great service!!”
“I usually do not leave reviews, but I had to make an exception for this occasion.
I placed a catering order for an event, and my experience from start to finish was outstanding. The entire process was professional, seamless, and exceeded my expectations. My guests could not stop talking about how delicious the food was—it was perfectly seasoned, full of flavor, and beautifully prepared.
From the moment I placed the order, Ahmad and his team were incredibly helpful, kind, and professional. They genuinely cared about making sure everything was perfect and provided excellent customer service throughout the process.
I highly recommend them for any catering needs and will definitely be ordering from them again in the future!”

“The waiter was very friendly, patient, and knowledgeable about their gluten free items. I have celiac disease so I had so many questions IYKYK. We got there right before dinner rush. We the Paella Con Pollo Y Chorizo and Ensalada Guardados with chicken. The Paella was ok, the rice wasn't done so it was quite crunchy. The salad was amazing, the chicken had the best flavor and was so moist. The balsamic vinaigrette dressing was delicious. I definitely will go back and try their other GF items.”
“I just had my 2nd absolutely DELICIOUS Indian dinner at Virraaj on Cordell. My husband noticed what he thought was a new restaurant across from the public parking last week so we went there for our Wednesday date nite. We went earlyish and only a couple other tables were taken when we arrived but by the time we left at 6:30 ish it was just about full so best to make reservations. Even with many diners, it was still easy to talk to each other and be heard. I started w/ the AAM Palak Chaat appetizer which I had first tasted at Rasika and have ordered every time I have seen it on a menu. Definitely rivaled Rasika's and the portion was big enough to share w/ my husband as an appetizer. My main was the Murgh Bahak/ Kadai Chicken. So tender, so tasty with onion and green and red bell peppers, delicious brown sauce w/ terrific spices plus a little spicy kick. I ate as much as I could and still had left overs for 2 lunches at home. My husband ordered a lamb dish he enjoyed and finished every morsel including the rice. I saw some reviewers would have liked more rice. We had plenty with our meals so maybe they are giving more w/ each dinner. The waiter was attentive, professional, courteous and nice. The restaurant itself was classy & beautifully appointed - you could tell someone put a great deal of thought and money into designing it. This week we had friends visit who live in VA, within walking distance to Clarendon. We always go there for Indian food because there are so many good Indian restaurants to choose from but they were excited to try Virraaj from our comments about how much we enjoyed it. Before ordering takeout, I called and spoke to Jenni 3 times because I wanted to order what I had ordered last week but couldn't remember the name. She could not have been kinder or more patient in helping me figure out that it was the Kadhai Chicken. It may not seem like it from this review but I am a picky eater - happy to pay any price (just about ) for good food but am too often disappointed in Bethesda. Virraag got the highest marks on everything important to me: service, food, and ambiance - all of us enjoyed our meals and noone was disappointed. We ordered pickup for 4 main dishes including my fav Murgh Bahak/Kadai Chicken, Butter Chicken, Lamb Tawa Masala and Hariyal Murgh Tikka, naan and roti. All went on 2 big lazy susans on the dining room table and we kept on spinning, tasting and enjoying. The wife of the other couple always orders the Butter Chicken and kept on saying how moist and delicious the chicken was tonight. We all tried and liked everything - - not one complaint. So glad that we have a great Indian restaurant to go to and take friends to and not worry that anyone is not going to enjoy -- it is that good!”
“I was pleasantly surprised with the quality and authenticity of some of the classic dimsum dishes such as the shrimp dumpling and charngfun. We ordered about 25 small plates between 3 people (including desert) and we were stuffed! Some items tasted a bit too experimental and did not satisfy the classic Cantonese flavor profile that I’m used to. Some were really good! I grew up eating authentic Cantonese dim sum in Los Angeles and have tried amazing eating dim sum in Hong Kong and Guangzhou. In the DMV area, we have limited dim sum options - so this place will do when I crave dim sum! The service and atmosphere were really nice. Total rating is 4.5 stars.”
“We were at the original New Haven location several years ago, and we were delighted to find one closer to home. We tried customized pizzas . The crust was amazing with the classic coal-fired char, just the perfect amount of cheese and the crushed Italian tomatoes were divine. Great to try proper apizza again.”
“Great Indian-Nepalese restaurant in Bethesda. Ordered the chicken Biryani along with Chili chicken and garlic naan. The Biryani was well prepared and fresh. The chili chicken had an abundance of flavor. It wasn't too spicy either. Our server was very kind and gracious. Will come back next time I'm between Baltimore and DC.Best food and best service”
“Olazzo catered a recent birthday party for us. Everything about the experience was first rate. Scott Crivella was extremely helpful in finagling the menu. The food was delivered right on time and was ready to serve. Our guests were delighted with the chicken Marsala, mango salmon, penne marinara, antipasto platter and bruschetta. Everything was delicious and the servings were very generous. We were extremely pleased.”
“This place is awesome ! Good food, great staff, beautiful atmosphere. You can tell that they put time , love, and care into their dishes and cocktails. 10/10 would recommend!”

“I recently visited Oliva’s Kitchen Food & Fusion in Bethesda, and it truly feels like a hidden gem. It’s a small, locally owned spot that you might miss if you’re not looking for it—but it’s definitely worth finding.
I ordered the breakfast burrito, and it did not disappoint. It was fresh, flavorful, and really satisfying without being overly heavy. The ingredients tasted high quality, and everything was well-balanced. And honestly—one thing that really stood out—they actually know how to wrap a burrito. That’s surprisingly hard to find on the East Coast, and it made the whole experience even better (no falling apart halfway through!).
What stood out most is how this place blends comfort food with a unique fusion twist. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and you can tell there’s real care behind the food.
If you’re in Bethesda and want to support a small business while trying something different from the usual spots, I’d highly recommend checking this place out.”
“lives up to the hype. delicious cookies. not too sweet and great textures. got an americano with the sweet treat, and the coffee was decent as well.
2 cookies + 2 coffees came out to about 19 bucks....but one cookie definitely does fill you up.
it would be nice if they warmed the cookie up before serving.”

“This is a charming locally owned café that offers exceptionally fresh food and coffee - they roast and grind their own beans on site. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming and the owners take the time to truly greet every customer of which there are many regulars. I am thrilled to have a wonderful place to go whenever I'm in Bethesda. I've been twice so far and plan to frequent more often ❤”
“Lived in Bethesda for 50 years, now in Bend, OR--where good Chinese food is non-existent. On numerous visits back home, I've patronized Foong Lin with high school buddies--and it always delivers the goods. Last night, we all had hot and sour soup, egg rolls, crispy beef, combination Kung Pao, combination lo mein...and everything was off the charts!”
“This was the worst service ever here and I have not been back since the last bad service..I took a friend here from Philly and took forever to get waited on. appetizer was not fully cooked.Pizza came out.... my pasta never made it out. never heard a word from the manager ..how sad. male employees were constantly occupying the men's room...the waitress is the only one what was apologetic..my friend from Philly was not impressed and I left mad and disappointed. my third time with this location. Gregorio kishketon”
“Really nice homy spot for ramen. Used to be a go to but something changed when they rebranded to their current name. The broth and other food hasn’t been quite as good as it used to be and the menu options have changed slightly. I hope they regain their footing so it becomes as good as it was when it was Zao Stamina.”
“When I first walked in, I could smell the wonderful spices. Pungent, fragrant, & aromatic. The place is slightly small, maybe family run, and has a slightly modern decor. I got the Tikka Masala signature dish and was very happy.”

“Delicious froyo with lots of flavors and toppings! For each two-flavor station, there’s one in the middle that’s a swirl of both flavors. There is a variety of toppings, including fresh fruits, syrups, whipped cream, chocolates, candies and gummies, and oreos. My favorite flavor is the triple chocolate. Their taro flavor is quite unique too. Would love to come again!”
“Cornucopia in Bethesda, Maryland is an absolute gem. From the moment you walk in, you’re surrounded by delightful pastries, perfectly seasoned chips, rich oils, and food essentials that bring flavors from across the globe. Every shelf feels like a passport stamp from another country.
My favorite indulgence is the Caprese with Mozzarella di Bufala sandwich—complete with balsamic, virgin olive oil, and fresh bread. It’s simple, authentic, and bursting with freshness. Each bite feels like a quick trip to Italy.
Cornucopia is more than a market; it’s a sensory experience that makes you slow down, savor, and appreciate the beauty of real food. A true Bethesda treasure.”
“Not gonna lie. At first impression, I was a little skeptical. Once food arrived, quickly forget But if in the Bethesda area you got to try this deli spot. You won’t be disappointed. I won’t name the other chain sandwich shops and this will definitely surpass it. Can’t wait to do the breakfast bagel set up .”
“I had a lovely memorable experience at Chopt in Bethesda MD. Tracy’s customer service; beyond superb, her ability to pay attention to details and understand what the customer needs was almost telekinetic. Tracy was warm respectful and attentive. My wrap was perfect thanks to her recommendations. High five to your work ethics and good energy. When it comes down to recommending this Chopt Bethesda branch I say Heck yea!”

“Owner is a super great guy! We were visiting the metro area and ate twice on our stay. The bacon cheeseburger eggrolls are superior! Everything else we had was great as well!”

“I wanted to like Spanish Diner since I'm a huge fan of Jaleo and of Jose Andres, but the food was so lacking in finesse and taste, even for a diner. Patatas bravas was drowning in tomato sauce (I could barely taste the potato or aoli) and the bacalao over eggplant and tomato sauce had little flavor. The ham and cheese was tasty, but nothing to say "Spain" about it...mediocre food accompanied by a hefty price tag will keep me from going back. I'm so sad that Jose Andres missed the mark on this one, unfortunately.”

“I agree with the positive comments on the food; had two taco platters yesterday. Take out didn't travel well, although tried to be careful, so next time I will get bowls or delivery. Owner, please provide a ramp; handicapped customers have difficulty on the steps, and door is extremely difficult to open. It is very heavy; also squeaks; lubricate hinges. Both employees seemed depressed; no smiles, barely answered questions.”

“Four of us stopped by Silver Diner in Bethesda just for milkshakes, and they were excellent. I ordered the Chunky Munky, and it was absolutely amazing—thick, creamy, and packed with banana and Oreo pieces in every sip. It was one of the best milkshakes I’ve had in a long time. Everyone in our group enjoyed their shakes, and the service was friendly and quick. If you’re in the area and craving a great milkshake, I definitely recommend giving the Chunky Munky a try!”

“My husband and I decided to stay here overnight during our drive home from a beach vacation. I am covered in mosquito bites and am just miserable. I couldn’t wait to take a shower. Well let me tell you, I have NEVER taken a shower as good as the shower I just took in this hotel. It scratched every mosquito bite on my body simultaneously and felt so amazing. The provided toiletries smell like I just stepped out of a spa. The towel was fluffy but not linty. The water pressure was immaculate. The temperature was consistent and easy to set to the perfect amount of hotness. And my skin doesn’t feel like it’s been stripped of all of its moisture like it does after a shower at most hotels. I will only stay at this chain from now on if they’re all like this. I need to know how to get this at home. I’m serious. Best shower of my life.”

“I love coming to this Paris baguette every week before work. julieth was incredibly helpful and inviting. I was in a rush as I had a bus to catch and she quickly rung me up and got me a bag to hold my delicious pastries. Great customer service! I’ll definitely be coming back, not just for the tasty food, but the great staff ! :3”
“Since checking this place out, I have become a regular customer, and now come in 1-2x a week for a grocery restock. I have had no time to cook since the new year and had been eating out almost every meal.... but there are so few places around with healthy options. I am so picky about what fruits and veggies, organic items, etc. that I eat, and thankfully sprouts has provided great options for that! The baristas/cashiers are always so helpful and kind to us. Some of my favorites are-- ALL of the soups (seriously that chicken and rice is perfection, especially if you are under the weather), turkey chili, thai wrap, veggie wrap, egg roll in a bowl, drunken noodles, bbq chicken and succotash, the vitality ginger drink (that spice burns but feels good!), the challah and sourdough bread, eskimo bites for a treat, and the strawberry blondie brownies! I am trying new things as the menu changes, but these have been on my constant restock when available of what I have had so far!! I recently learned they can heat the items for you, so you can eat a hot meal there (I have not done this yet myself, as this is like grocery shopping for me so i take it home... but i have seen lots of people in there enjoying their meals!) I have seen some complain about the prices, but if you know the quality of what you are getting (local, organic), then you would realize these are very fair prices! If I have ever wanted to request something or had a slight issue, Sprouts has always been more than happy to accommodate. Thank you Sprouts for providing great service and food options to the community! You will see me again soon! Gluten free, Dairy free, or Flexitarian, check them out!”
“Really good and different! Had the short-rib pastrami and it was fantastic!! Great taste, perfect texture, and the mustard sauce was the perfect compliment. Their house pickled veggies added a really nice touch. The deviled eggs are not to be missed! Smoky, but not overbearingly so. The wife had the pastrami spiced portobello and was very impressed. Guys in the truck were super nice and very patient. They were out front of Baby Cat brewery in Kensington the day we went by. Will be keeping track of where they're going to be - will definitely return!!”
“I ordered the veggie dumplings and veggie soup with tofu. The dumplings were good. However, I was disappointed that dumpling sign says mix and match and lists the price as $5.95 for 6 and $9.95 for 12, but when I asked for 12 and asked for half steamed and half fried they charged me for 2 orders of 6 instead of one order of 12. The sign is misleading. They said I couldn't mix and match at the $9.95 price because they are cooked differently. I'm aware. But that's also not mixing and matching. That's just ordering 2 orders of dumplings. The soup was good but felt like it needed something extra. The remaining dumpling sauce, soy sauce, and hot chili sauce made it perfect.
Note: The restaurant is located on the 2nd floor of the mall next to McDonalds. Parking in the parking garage nearest the mall entrance is best.”
“Always love getting their grilled chicken, and Carlos always brings a smile to my face whenever he works. Jose got me hooked on their Pollo sauce and I keep begging them to sell the sauce in a jar (lol) love the friendly staff and the Bethesda spot is by far my favorite location”
“On St Elmo brings something genuinely fresh to Bethesda’s nightlife scene. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels elevated, modern, and intimate. The lighting, decor, and layout strike the perfect balance between swanky and social. Cocktails are delicious and the menu is on point. High-energy enough to create a vibe, but not so loud that you can’t hold a conversation. On St Elmo is the kind of place Bethesda has been missing.”
“Super convenient and very efficient! I place an order via the app and usually it’s about a 5-10 min wait depending on what you order.
App rewards are decent. Panera in general is a little pricey but it’s leagues better than historic military installation offerings for quick food.”
“Great space which would be perfect for events. very good service. Fish tacos and beef birria tacos excellent. Al pastor were unfortunately dried out and bad. Shrimp tacos were underwhelming. Esquites good.”
