“Amazing sushi! I've tried Kusshi, kura Sushi, and Uzu Sushi in the Rockville area and was not impressed with their quality at all. However, Sushi Toro is always consistent with their quality especially for their price. The sushi tastes amazing and fresh, the service is wonderful, and the atmosphere is perfect for a date night or a casual dinner with friends. Easily the best sushi I've had in Rockville. Highly recommend!“

“I stopped in with friends before a event Sunday evening. The staff was warm and welcoming. I had the lentil sambusas and a peanut-infused coffee at the staff’s recommendation. The food was fast and delicious- the sambusas were warm and spicy, and the peanut coffee was delicious! In a kind gesture, the chef sent over a sampling of sushi to our table. Fresh and refreshing, the sushi was a nice complement to my sambusas and hot beverage. I’m not on this side of town often, but now I have a reason to come back.“

We both decided it was the best place either of us had been. I do not write reviews for restaurants but this one deserves it. “Our visit to Zeppelin was absolutely breathtaking! From the moment we walked through the doors, we were greeted with the most exceptional hospitality by Ari and the rest of the staff. The atmosphere of the restaurant is truly one-of-a-kind, paying tribute to the Golden Age of the Great Passenger Airships. But the real standout of our experience was the food. It was absolutely divine. We began our meal with the Edamame and Miso Soup, both of which were the perfect starters and set the stage for the rest of the meal. The Seaweed Salad and Cucumber Sunomono were also refreshing and bursting with flavor. For our main course, we decided to indulge in a variety of dishes from the KushiYaki (Japanese Charcoal Grill) menu. The Ebi Shumai and Beef Harumaki were both cooked to perfection, while the Takoyaki was a fun and tasty snack. But the standout dish was the Okonomiyaki, with its tempura, red ginger, okonomiyaki sauce, and mayo creating a truly unique and flavor-packed experience. From the sushi bar, we sampled a variety of rolls including the Negitoro Roll, Spicy Tuna Roll, and Rainbow Roll. Each one was expertly crafted and perfectly balanced in flavor. Great service, good music, fast food. Good food all around. Only dislike is the miso ramen. Didn't have as much new soul and deaf flavor that I was hoping for as I don't eat pork. And so I didn't end up eating the ramen and they were able to remove that from my check due to me not eating and liking it so that is why I rounded up to five out of five stars instead of having it 4. Worth trying has a large range of options.“

“This place has really great sushi- The fish is super fresh. It's a tad pricier than some other sushi restaurants in the neighborhood but I think that's acceptable given the quality of fish and that you get way more rolls. That said, it's definitely a takeout only kind of place, there's only counter seating for like 7 people. Service was a biiit slow but there was only one chef and I think the owner working to get rolls out. It also felt a bit like there was pressure to get us to tip, which I thought was odd given it's not exactly a sit down and you order and pay at the counter.“

“Every thing we had was so delicious. We started with genmaicha tea as it was a chilly day and then ordered appetizers.

tea was perfectly roasted and cozy. We had the rock shrimp and fried sweet potato- lightly fried and full of flavor. Next I had the salmon teriyaki and friend has Ramen. “The night before the Marine Corps Marathon, we celebrated our anniversary dinner with family and relatives at Satay Club, a cozy Malaysian restaurant tucked in the heart of Washington DC. I’m always on the lookout for authentic flavors — and this place truly impressed us with every bite.

We started our feast with their signature Satay — both chicken and lamb. Perfectly grilled with smoky charred edges, the skewers were tender and flavorful, complemented beautifully by the rich, nutty peanut sauce. It felt like a taste of Kuala Lumpur in DC!

Next came the salted fish fried rice, aromatic and full of wok hei (that irresistible smoky aroma). The balance of savory salted fish, soft egg, and crisp vegetables made it comfort food at its best. The calamari dish was crispy on the outside and tender inside, served with colorful bell peppers and crunchy shallots — a delightful mix of texture and spice.

We also loved the tofu and eggplant stir-fry, which came in a deliciously savory sauce — rich, hearty, and deeply satisfying. To end the evening, we indulged in ice chendol and fried banana, a sweet and refreshing finish that brought nostalgic memories of Southeast Asia.

“I had been waiting 3 years ever since the sign went up saying this was coming to my area. Finally for my birthday I got the chance to go and it was not a let down. The front of house staff was very friendly and seated my party immediately. The waitress took no time at all to get our drinks and come back with them and take our complete order. We put everything in at the same time and they did an excellent job of pacing the salads, appetizers, and main meal. The food was absolutely fantastic and gorgeous to look at.
