“Food is great and served in reasonable time. The waitress could be more attentive to patrons seeing that the tip is added to the bill and paid before even receiving food. I asked for something and she forgot and brought it to the table 15 minutes later after I was almost done with meal. Had to ask for water, waitress only filled up my husband’s glass not mine and both were pretty much empty and I wasn’t even asked if I wanted more water. Hopefully this is read and improved on my return visit. It least it shows me how to tip next time 😏“

“I don’t usually leave reviews, but I had to say that The Energy Hub is an great juice bar with phenomenal energy. The service is their greatest aspect; the guy behind the counter was extremely nice, warm, and welcoming.

The smoothie was really good and felt like I was doing something good for my body. You can customize the smoothie however you want with no up charge for however many different fruits you want in it.

Highly recommend stopping by at least once. You’ll be surprised how The Energy Hub lives up to its name by recharging you and leaving you feeling just a little bit lighter and brighter.“

“I had heard about Pappy's for years before I actually went, which is embarrassing because it's not like I live that far. You hear enough people talk about a BBQ place like it's a life experience and you start to think they're being dramatic. They're not. The line was long when we got there, moved faster than expected, and everything after that was just really good food.
The baby back ribs are what this place is built on and they deserve the reputation. They come out dry-rubbed and slow smoked over apple and cherry wood, no sauce on them by default, and they don't need it. The bark has this slight sweetness from the wood and the rub and the meat underneath is tender without being fall-off-the-bone to the point of mushiness. There are four sauces on the table and you can go ahead and try them, but honestly the first rack I ate without any sauce at all and didn't feel like I was missing anything. The burnt ends were just perfect little caramelized cubes of beef that I kept eating until they were gone. The fried corn on the cob is a weird thing to talk about this much but I'm going to anyway because it's excellent, just a whole cob lightly battered and fried and it's hot and crunchy and a little sweet. We also got the baked beans which had plenty of meat mixed in and a good kick to them.
Counter service, seats yourself after ordering, loud and fun atmosphere. The place closes when the meat runs out so there's a hard daily limit. They're not going to reheat something to serve you the next day and that's the right call. Show up when they open if you can. I went back the following morning for an early lunch before driving out of St. Louis and had the pulled pork sandwich this time, which was simpler and still really good. There's something about the consistency here that you notice across visits, nothing feels like an off day or a rushed plate. The whole operation runs like they take it seriously but nobody in there looks like they're stressed about it, which is a hard combination to pull off.“

“It took us a while to be able to snipe a reservation and I can certainly see why they need them for dine in. They do not have a lot of tables at all. The food and drinks are absolutely amazing. The service was attentive and prompt. Be careful though since they don't have a lot of tables they do rely on people respecting the allotted time for their reservations. I'd probably do to go more just because the food is so very good and I don't necessarily need a sit down experience. I can't wait for them to move to tower grove east because then they'll have more tables.“

“We wanted Italian food and we decided to go on the hill to Zia‘s. We ordered pasta dishes, which was extremely nice portion size. The bread was delicious when you dip it in olive oil. “I have been wanting to get here for several years, and we finally made it, tonight, to Anthonino's Taverna, a short distance from Rob's place. (Fun fact, this place has been spotlighted twice on Guy Fieri's Food Channel Show. I can now see why. 🥰) Well, I wish I had made it here sooner. She gave us enough time to settle in so we could make our choices. Rob had a Kona Wave draft, and I had a glass of Sauvignon Blanc. Bailee brought us bread made, and baked on The Hill with great quality olive oil, and herbs for dipping. Rob ordered the lasagna, and I opted for the Tutti de Mare with seafood, garlic, butter, and olive oil. My dinner was delicious, and made with freshly made pasta, and a perfect mix of perfectly cooked wild caught seafood of mussels,shrimp, clams, and squid. Rob's lasagna also featured freshly made pasta sheets, Anthonino's red sauce, sausage, ricotta, and mozzarella cheese. I tasted it, and it's your pick here if you love lasagna. Homemade taste that brought me back to my grandmother's and my mother's tables. 🥰❤️ I also felt welcomed, and comfortable as soon as I walked through the door. “Without a doubt the best brewery in STL. Very English-style beers that are sessionable and top-notch. Do you know how to tell this place is proper? They have 1-2 beers ON CASK!!! You can barely find that in the US. When we have visitors this is the brewery to take them to. Also, you can get a half-pint for exactly half the price! “We had a party of 6 on Saturday night. Great service. Outstanding food had by everyone. A few in the party ordered the Lasagna after they were out of Ossobuco. They loved the Lasagna, the Chicken Risotto was one of the best I ever had, although I modified it by adding mushrooms. We did start out with appetizers and the Roasted Wild Mushroom app and Toasted Ravoli were incredible. Highly recommend this place.“

My husband looked at me like I was crazy when I read off dates but the slight sweetness against all of that savory is what made it!! We also tried the Fatty B, Meat me in St Louie, Magic Carpet Ride, and the Gyro. They were all amazing but the Gonzo and the Gyro were my favorites. The Magic Carpet Ride is also a must try if you're into mushrooms.“

“I’ve ignored this place over the decades, assuming it was a typical dive bar. A friend assured me the food was great and I should try it. Understatement! Believe it or not I’m a hypercritical person but I could find no fault at Michael’s. During both of my visits, everything everyone ordered was cooked and seasoned beautifully. So far I can highly recommend the Greek salad (standout among the large number of Greek salads I’ve tried), the rack of lamb and the galaktoboureko - a house-made dessert consisting mainly of a fluffy custard and phyllo dough. Even the side vegetables and rice were wonderful. The beer and wine selection was good as well and I wrote down my wine to look into buying a bottle. The many servers were extremely busy and professional and our server Amy did a helluva job. Large rack of lamb with sides, entree-sized Greek salad, two beers, wine and dessert for only $80 -which for the quality of our dinner was quite a bargain. Generic name belies quality cooking and serving! Pass it on!“

“We were in town (from the Twin Cities) for the 2025 President's Day Classic, and had Hogtown Smokehouse cater a team (and parents) dinner for 30 in our hotel. Rico was fantastic in helping us out. Quick to respond to calls and emails. Gracious, and just wonderful altogether... and that's just the service. The food? The empty pans, told the story. Brisket, Turkey and Pork for meats. Mac & cheese, potato salad and beans for sides. EVERYTHING was amazing! I never right reviews, but Rico and staff deserve this one. If you're reading this, don't hesitate to give them a try.
