I sampled the jerk chicken wings and the fish stew which were both yummy. Yesterday we went back and got the chicken patty and loved it. I had never had oxtail so I asked Fitzroy If I could have a little taste to see if I liked it. Well I now love oxtail so that’s what I ordered. Absolutely blown away by the deliciousness of this food… Made delicious by the love that goes into it and all of the creativity and spices. We met Ricardo yesterday who is another very special individual. If you’re looking for a new place to go where the food is infused with all sorts of delightful things I would highly recommend going to visit Fitzroy and Ricardo. They are two of the nicest guys and so very humble.”

I love their monthly drink specials. Every month gets a new theme and a new line up. It definitely makes things more interesting so you don’t get bored.

The service is always awesome. It doesn’t matter if you go through drive through or inside, everyone is always friendly and helpful.

They have cooler drinks, coffee, tea, syrups and coffee by the pound for sale.

There is a nice amount of seating and people often come there for meetings, working on their computer, and just reading at the table.”

“WOW, my daughter and I -- both out-of-towners -- read local restaurant reviews, and were impressed by the rave reviews for Mustafas. A perfect place for us to grab a bite between bouts of shopping. And what a delightful place! The restaurant's clean, simple atmosphere created a welcoming ambiance. We were immediately greeted with warmth and helpful suggestions from a kind staff member, as we were Turkish food newbies. The chicken was the best I'd ever eaten! -- kebab chicken: an absolute revelation! Every bite was a flavor explosion. The accompanying sauce, rice, and even the french fries were unexpectedly delicious. The portions were quite generous, and visually appealing. So glad we found this place. Mustafa's has truly converted us into Turkish food enthusiasts!”

asked if I had a reservation. I took a seat at the bar. The initial service was kind of slow but once I ordered my food was ready very quickly. I had the Hemingway Chicken, yellow rice and moros, paired with the grapefruit lager it was excellent ??. I will return to try something else on the menu.”

“Teatastic is truly a hidden gem!  This quaint little shop offers amazing customer service that goes above and beyond. While I was out of town for work, my 8-year-old daughter earned a DoorDash treat, and she was so excited to get Teatastic. Sadly, we discovered that DoorDash didn’t deliver from Teatastic. @DoorDash, what's up with that?  I promised her a visit when I returned.  That night, we rushed over after dance class. We arrived at 7:05, just after closing, and the doors were locked. My daughter looked at me, disappointed and teary-eyed, and I knelt to hug her. Then, to our surprise, a kind young woman opened the door and invited us in for a drink! Her warmth and generosity absolutely made my daughter’s day and reminded me of the wonderful sense of community here.

Since that experience, we’ve returned multiple times, including during the Halloween Fall Festival, where we enjoyed a fun Witches Brew drink. The staff is consistently fantastic, the shop is spotless, and the drinks are simply delicious.

Teatastic has quickly become one of our favorite spots off Main, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a friendly, welcoming atmosphere and fantastic tea drinks.

“Had lunch at Juice Life in Salisbury today. It was so delicious! The person working the counter was so sweet and informative, let us try out samples of some amazing cold pressed juices and talked to us about the intentionality behind every blend. The owners CARE. And it shows- their whole staff was happy and working together well. As a former service industry person- the places I like to give my money HAVE TO treat their employees well too 👏👏 They get hundreds of pounds of local and SEASONAL produce every day and make all products on the premises. There are no additives, preservatives, and when fast food cost as much as the grocery store these days, the price for our lunch was really amazing! I had The Defender smoothie- a really beautiful dark berry color that reminded me of Polk Berry stems- and it had black berries, elderberry, ginger and a few other ingredients- with NO added sugar. The everything bagel with the house made honey nut cream cheese, and my boyfriend had the PRETTIEST Sunset fruit bowl we’ve ever seen and the four berry smoothie. Everything was so tasty! I couldn’t even find a sample I was disappointed with. I’m excited to try them all now! Definitely a new favorite spot. I haven’t felt this good after a lunch in a long time. I have a weakness for Lavendar- I adore it. So naturally I had to grab the LAST bottle in the fridge of their Moon Mylk- the picture does not do this gorgeous color justice. The restaurant was packed but all were seated in a timely manner and our order was taken quickly. My sandwich was hot and the portions were very generous. A kind man politely asked us to switch seats with him so our kids could have a better experience. We were a group of seven seated with a lovely local family of three. We were sitting with the owner of College Barbecue! They offer an excellent variety of flavors, convenient parking right out front, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. “I grew up in Salisbury and lived there well into my adulthood. I live in Columbia, SC now but when I come back to town to visit my Mom, one of my favorite places to eat is at Checkered Flag. They’re food is really good but the hard working ladies who serve the customers is what makes it great. They take the time to talk to every customer at every table and it’s not just chit chat. They really want to know how you are and what they can do for you to make your visit perfect. They treat everyone like family but for those of us who come back again and again, we become family. Even for me, an out of towner, I even know two of the hard working ladies, Angela and Jen. Angela showed her hard working team spirit yesterday when, Jen, our server, was tied up with her other tables. Angela stepped in and took our order until Jen could get back over to us. This example of teamwork becomes contagious and I’m sure that Jen has done the same thing for Angela and all of her co-workers. Jen is such a joy to be around. Her personality oozes charisma and warmth and she makes you feel truly special because that is who she is!! “Yall this place is SO UNDERRATED. Staff were super nice, was only $10/person and food was great and gluten free options! I am shocked they weren’t busier since this is such a good buy and was so good!

When you walk in they have 3 small buffets on the right side one with salad, one with pizza, and one with hot food. They also had a mini table with cookies and bread on it.

Salad items was romaine, carrot, tomato, onion, cucumber, potato salad (one of the best I’ve ever had) , broccoli, cantaloupe slices, eggs, parm and motzarella cheese , and homemade dressing in little plastic cups.

The pizza was tasty according to my husband whom was able to eat it (I am gluten and dairy free)

On the hot bar was spaghetti, meat sauce, eggplant parm, cheese ravioli, chicken chunks, pork chunks, this chicken/potato/pepper/ potato thing that was so good, and these meatballs that were to die for!!!

I appreciate so much that there were gluten free options with the chicken and meatballs being breadcrumb/ flour free. Everything was super good and fresh.

The place was not crowded. We got there at 11:30 and out by 12:30 and total was 6 tables and a whole other side of the restaurant was open and empty. This is not due to quality I think it’s due to lack of advertising, outside signage, and the front of the restaurant looks less welcoming. And open to pull people in so I def wanted to do this review to get more people in there as I will def be back! Try them out for your next Wed-Friday lunch.

Prices are on par with most takeout places, and the Shrimp Fried Rice and Vegetable Lo Mein are both more flavorful than other places I've tried. Service was friendly and fast.
