The person working the counter was so sweet and informative, let us try out samples of some amazing cold pressed juices and talked to us about the intentionality behind every blend. The owners CARE. And it shows- their whole staff was happy and working together well. As a former service industry person- the places I like to give my money HAVE TO treat their employees well too 👏👏 They get hundreds of pounds of local and SEASONAL produce every day and make all products on the premises. There are no additives, preservatives, and when fast food cost as much as the grocery store these days, the price for our lunch was really amazing! I had The Defender smoothie- a really beautiful dark berry color that reminded me of Polk Berry stems- and it had black berries, elderberry, ginger and a few other ingredients- with NO added sugar. The everything bagel with the house made honey nut cream cheese, and my boyfriend had the PRETTIEST Sunset fruit bowl we’ve ever seen and the four berry smoothie. Everything was so tasty! I couldn’t even find a sample I was disappointed with. I’m excited to try them all now! Definitely a new favorite spot. I haven’t felt this good after a lunch in a long time. I have a weakness for Lavendar- I adore it. So naturally I had to grab the LAST bottle in the fridge of their Moon Mylk- the picture does not do this gorgeous color justice. If you are in Salisbury and are looking for a clean and tasty lunch that won’t make you feel Terrible- we recommend Juice Life! “I grew up in Salisbury and lived there well into my adulthood. I live in Columbia, SC now but when I come back to town to visit my Mom, one of my favorite places to eat is at Checkered Flag. They’re food is really good but the hard working ladies who serve the customers is what makes it great. They take the time to talk to every customer at every table and it’s not just chit chat. They really want to know how you are and what they can do for you to make your visit perfect. They treat everyone like family but for those of us who come back again and again, we become family. Even for me, an out of towner, I even know two of the hard working ladies, Angela and Jen. Angela showed her hard working team spirit yesterday when, Jen, our server, was tied up with her other tables. Angela stepped in and took our order until Jen could get back over to us. This example of teamwork becomes contagious and I’m sure that Jen has done the same thing for Angela and all of her co-workers. Jen is such a joy to be around. Her personality oozes charisma and warmth and she makes you feel truly special because that is who she is!! I heartily recommend Checkered Flag for their great food and and their even greater people!! I rate them 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ and 5 hearts!! ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️”

This is an amazing little restaurant that has been hiding in plain view. The food is incredible and fresh. The restaurant has a home town feeling that is welcoming. Very friendly staff that speaks to you like they have known you forever. Most importantly, it is clean and smells incredible. Don't let the exterior fool you. highly recommend!”

“Family and I ate here a few years ago. Chef greeted us personally and was super nice. Food wasn’t gonna win awards, but my family of 5 ate for like $20 which was pretty cool on a road trip. My wife and I paid whatever the price was and then the chef gave us a price for the 3 kids that was different. I don’t remember how much but it wasn’t a lot. Everyone was talking to each other between tables which was also cool. Meatballs were good. Salad bar was fine. Overall I wouldn’t think twice about eating there again.
