We've been coming here regularly for a long time and can’t recommend it enough. The food is consistently amazing - The quality of the meat is great, the portions are generous and the side dishes and kitchen items always hit the spot.
The atmosphere is cozy and
fun and most importantly Dave and the staff are amazing. They always take such great care of us.

“Overall- I loved this place. It’s also part of InKind. The tuna tar tar was one of those dishes where once you have it u almost want to eat a second. It’s a must.

Food - once we order the tuna tartare it was so good. We almost over a second however, the table next to us had the Uni tartare so he said we’ll take that and it didn’t impress me as much as the tuna I loved it still.

We also ordered the KFC chicken, which was good a little relied to heavily on sauce and we got the Wellington, which was pretty impressive. Lastly, we got the butter chicken, which was delicious with the rice however, the rice could be cooked. There was also a cold onion in it, but the dish wasn’t cold

Atmosphere – The place is full. It’s cute. Nothing too crazy or over the top. Dim it everything is back in a red light, which makes it really hard to take pictures of the food, but that’s OK. Please excuse my pictures.

I love this place but people next to us get the kimchi cheese rice with chicken and it looks so good. I wanna go back and get it and of course get the tar tower again.

I also learned what corn salt tea was here also delicious and apparently really good for you“

“The experience was spectacular start to finish. Greeted nicely and service throughout was really excellent; paced well, not rushed or intrusive at all. really lovely. Hannah was great! We ordered from the restaurant week menu and a couple of other wise dishes (kimchi, bread and nori butter, patatas bravas). Of these the bread and butter was the least interesting, kimchi and patatas bravas were excellent. Starters -- frogs legs and hamachi, both amazing, cooked perfectly. Small plates -- soba a(with uni supplement) and celery salad, both excellent, soba was our favorite of the two. Salad was very fresh and nice. Entress, hangar steak and chicken sandwich. Steak in particualr outstanding -- cooked perfectly great sauce. Chicken sandwich is big and delicious Dessert -funfetti cake and panna cotta, both excellent. Drinks -- love the selections here boith zero proof and the wine/beer/cocktail options. Passion fruit marg and balsamic negroni excellent; sparkling hibiscus was really good and not to sweet. And the Cava by the glas very nice. The collab with brooklyn cider was a nice Basque style cider that paired nicely with the food. Overall, excellent and will be back!“

“Seoul Salon, as described by them, is a Sool Jib inspired Korean restaurant with a modern take on Korean alcohol and Korean foods.

The vibe itself was nice, dim but not too loud, even with the edm/club music playing. The tables can feel a bit cramped, but it wasn't overbearing and we could talk even with all the background noise.

The food was phenomenal, well priced and well portioned for sharing. We got the octopus kimbap, soy scallop with gim rice, and the raw marinated crab noodles.

The Banchan was a ramen snack with ketchup, a good palate cleanser and tasty.

The octopus kimbap was good, we didn’t think it was outstanding but it did taste good. The octopus was a bit uneven in the dish though, as some of our pieces had no octopus while others had a lot.

The raw marinated crabs were a highlight, with a large portion of noodles accompanying it. As per their instruction, we mixed the raw crab meat into the noodles, which elevated the already tasty crab and noodles to make a spicy yet delicious noodle dish. The spice was a little on the spicier side, but nothing too spicy.

A highlight was the soy scallop with gim rice. It had a great taste to it, a great portion of scallop, and each part of the dish worked perfectly together.

The price is also really good for all the food we got, probably one of the highest quality meals we've gotten at the price we paid.“

“Very good food. Great service, friendly staff and waitress. I recommend the fried chicken, and the kimchi fried rice. The black sesame pudding, as a dessert, was insanely delicious and buttery. Super good.
Brussel sprouts were very tasty. Tteokbokki dish was very interesting and a good interpretation of a creamy, rich pasta-like dish (a bit like a creamy Mac & cheese with everything seasoning). Enjoyed every dish.
Matcha beer was fine, but would opt for a regular beer or cocktail next time.“

“We were incredibly impressed at C as in Charlie. Every single dish we had was very good - 3 of them were exceptional. The mozzarella/green pepper with soy balsamic was insanely good, the ribs were melt in your mouth and the prawn roll delicious too. Service was excellent and the restaurant had a real buzz/warmth to it. Absolutely shouldn’t be missed. Surprisingly reasonably priced too.“

“after my sister’s graduation, we decided to go to Olle, making same day reservations for 8 people. A staff texted us to confirm and was accommodating when we said one more person was coming (and if we needed a high chair for the child). The servers were very friendly and spoke korean, checked up on our tables if we needed anything and if we needed refills for the banchan (there was some tteokbokki too). The hot soups/stews were comforting and delicious. The bibimbap was so pretty (my sister finished that and cleaned the bowl lol). And the cold noodles were great too! it wasn’t too loud so we didn’t have to yell at each other. “We came at 5 PM on a Wednesday and it was calm and peaceful. The food tasted clean with a focus on the ingredients natural flavor. The chicken was fried very well and it's taste was fairly light with a hint of MSG. The galbi-jjim was tender and youll find yourself dipping it back in the sauce after each bite. Nothing was excessive in flavor which might be a downside for someone expecting heavy pocha style flavors. Even the kimchi wasn't too sour and had a crunch to it. It's unique and healthy, plus the place is gorgeous and a great place for a date.“

“Our experience at Hojokban was such a blast! The food is delicious, staff is friendly in a cute and cozy environment. The go to dish is definitely Hojok Galbi, it’s very flavorful and the meat is so tender falling off the bone. A must try dish if it’s your first time! Octopus tteokbikki is good too, spicy and sweet to open up the appetite. We finish the meal with a tiramisu with orange flavor twist, it wasn’t too sweet, just enough to refresh your palette! Would come back to try more for sure :)“

“This dining experience at Joo Ok made our trip to New York extra special🫶 Your excitement starts with you making the reservation. The unique elevator literally elevates the excitement. “As a tasting menu, the value is incredible. Food is presented well and everything tasted good enough. However, there are much better korean options even in the neighborhood, to say nothing of Ktown.
A good date spot, but not somewhere I'd go regularly. If you can get a table at Ariari nearby, go there instead.“

“Came here with a friend visiting town on a Sunday evening. The food was delicious we were so pleased round after round. I wasn’t a fan of the sweet bagged drinks but they switched it for a wine for me, so kind. The vibes were great which I was worried about for a Sunday but the buzz was there.

“Brilliant Korean spread at Cho Dang Gol in midtown Manhatten. Specializes in tofu dishes so we plumped for the spicy tofu hotpot but also ordered some tasty beef and zucchini pancakes and spicy gochujang chicken. “This spot is a bit of a hole in the wall. It's cozy but elegant. One thing to note, is it's definitely Korean forward cuisine vs. Japanese which does contribute to the overall flavor profiles. We got the 5 hand roll set along with the scallop crudo and Janchi Guksu. For the handrolls the fatty tuna was a favorite, while the shrimp was a miss. It was like a cold shrimp salad. The scallop crudo was delicious, and the Janchi Guksu was a little too fishy for my taste.
Overall this place is worth giving a try, but I think I may personally stick to Japanese handrolls.“

Everything tasted super fresh, and you have to try the galbijjim and braised kimchi with pork bones 🥹 so good! The galbijjim is a bit spicy 🌶️ but it balances the richness perfectly :)

From the beautiful interior to the stunning plating, everything was amazing—and the food tasted absolutely heavenly. Even the word “luxury” feels too small for this place.

If anyone asks me for a Michelin restaurant recommendation in New York, this would be my number one pick without hesitation. For a special day with a special person, you really don’t need to think twice about where to go.

It was the happiest birthday meal I could have asked for, and one I’ll never forget.

“I will never get tired of this place. My #1 recommended NYC restaurant to anyone who asks. I am a GM at a restaurant in Astoria, Queens and I’ve been in the restaurant industry for over 13 years. This place is hands down my favorite. Their dining area is not that large so you must make a reservation. Their waitstaff is so friendly, funny and knowledgeable about their menu. I didn’t get our servers name but shoutout to him for recommending we add bacon to our burgers it was definitely a must, and elevated our burgers.
If you come here you 10000% MUST get the chopped cheese rice cakes. I dream about these things. Also garlic parm tots are insane..
